I came here because I was concerned that I might have skin cancer, because I got 2-3 degree burns from being out side for too long. and got sun burn and it made my skin crack and scar and etc. and I had what may just be freckles I’ve may have just not realized where their before on my shoulder, so I just wanted to check and make sure. This was very helpful!
I have to say that my mother, now 92, has had 6 melanomas, all caught relatively early. However, not one, ever, has looked like the melanoma pics that are always shown. She is the one who has had to insist, with different deems as well as family docs that the spots be biopsied. Don’t get lulled by the fact that your spot doesn’t look like that.

You’re totally correct. I’m going through this now. You have to be assertive with them. This time it’s melanoma, 3 moles so far out of 3 checked.
Last time, with another dermatologist, a couple years back, I had a spot on my chest that he said was just a dry spot, next time I went in I told him to check it again, he still said it was a dry spot but I insisted he biopsy it so he did and it was basal cell carcinoma.

Unfortunately, I have suffered with melanoma for 45 years. The A B C D E rule does not apply to me. mine are smaller than a Pencil eraser, they may be pink, clear, tan, etc. the borders are even. My condition is called amelanotic melanomas. They are wolves in sheep‘s clothing. If you have a gut feeling about anything on your body, please see your dermatologist. Only you really know what is on your body.

Well, I am a gonner! Age 7 ridding the wheat drill, jumping off this moving implement to throw rocks, my freckles became more pronounced. But when you are adopted, you don't get paid and are expendable. Now, 57 years later, the freckles are around the neck area of that "Tee-Shirt" have increased to 14 roughly. I had melanoma is 2019 and think I have another melanoma that literally grew on my finger within 3 weeks. I’m a little worried.
I have a spot on my upper left cheek, near my nose. My family Dr froze it about four months ago. It scabbed over and healed. I was left with a small scar. About a month ago it started weeping. Then turned into a stinging ,itching sore that I can't get to heal. It weeps and grows every day. As of right now it is about twice the size it was before my Dr treated it. I have a cyst looking bump under my nose and I've actually tried cutting it open and its hard and it rolls very little but I have to apply slot of pressure that hurts quite a bit and it's been there for a weak and at first i just felt it but couldn't see with my eyes now it's a clear bump about half the size of a number 2 pencil eraser width wise and nowhere near the height should I be concerned

my partner recently found a mole on his head, its flat and its either 5 by 8 or 6 by 8 in size, so far its not crusty or bleeding however its like a brown outer bit and all the centre is white? is this concerning or can hair molecules cause the middle part to go white?
Just because you tan easily does not mean you aren't at a high risk for skin cancer. I have a ton of family members who have had basal cell, squamous cell, and melanoma. My grandfather has had all three. I have had roughly a dozen biopsies, many of which came back as moderately to severely atypical, and I go from pale white to brown every summer and never burn.
There’s something very calming about her. I think I just discovered a melanoma on me and I came on here in a panic, and for some reason her video has calmed me down. It hasn’t changed the fact that I am 99% sure I have a melanoma spot, and I’m not sure how to go about addressing such an issue since all the doctor’s (dentist, cardiologist, dermatologist, etc.) have closed down due to the pandemic. Ok, I’m starting to get stressed again. Ugh, Murphy’s Law at its finest.

Nick Shah... I feel for you Nick. It’s never a good time to find yourself in this kind of situation, but this just might be the worst time to be in it period. All we can do is just monitor the spot for any changes, and if push comes to shove go to the ER. Also, I hear that some offices are doing virtual appointments, so if you already have an established dermatologist maybe check to see if they are doing such appointments. I wish you all the luck. I'm 35 years old with a history of abnormal moles. I'm fair skinned with green eyes, also I've had 3 moles removed in the past that were questionable one when I was 16 and the other 2 just 3 years ago... I also have a family history of malignant melanoma my mom's brother ( my uncle) died back in 2011 of melanoma that metastised to his lungs, liver and brain. I also have a first cousin who had found his melanoma early enough that it was cut out and he is fine today. My concern is a mole on my left lower jaw that has irregular borders and sometimes is bothersome and a small mole on my right calf that has me very concerned it itches often and has also grown in diameter, not much but is also raised when originally it was not! Should I be concerned enough to call my dermatologist?

Amputation would be a highly unlikely occurrence in most skin cancer treatments. Many of our offices treat skin cancer using Mohs micrographic surgery. During surgery, the surgeon can see where the cancer stops. This isn’t possible with other types of treatment for skin cancer. Mohs (pronounced Moes) has two important advantages: 1) Mohs has a high cure rate. 2) Mohs allows you to keep as much healthy skin as possible because the surgeon only removes the skin with cancer cells. I have open bumps on my chest they looks like boils and I’ve had them for like... two years but they’ve been spreading before it was only only one but it spread to 7 and they all like like skin cancer but idk because there’s like a hard spot under all of them which comes and goes which I assume is pus and when I put hot water on them they pop and then they’re small again but they never went away and I’m going to a dermatologist tomorrow I’m so scared 💀 I forgot to mention I got it checked out by a doctor when there was only like two and the doctor said it was a skin infection but it never went away

@@celestielsigh it’s Hidradenitis suppurativa and the dermatologist I went to gave me antibacterial cream to put on them and they kinda faded away but they come and go every now and then
HELP! So I woke up this morning with blood on my bed. With abit of investigation I can see that part of a mole as come off in the night (probably itched it in my sleep). It’s not hurting nor is it itchy and the bleeding has completely stopped. Should I be worried?

hi i have 2 moles on my left leg and 1 on my right and the 3 of them are around 2-3 mm, fully beige colored, and a little elevated. it has clean borders and everything and hasn’t really evolved, but im concerned as to why its a beige color considering all my other moles are black.

i had a mole on one of my right toes, i thought it was nothing but a clot from an injury and tried to remove it but it just won’t budge. Hence, one day i decided to take it off and it bled a little too much i slapped a band aid and thought it was nothing and now i JUST CAME ACROSS A VIDEO that said one of the people who had moles almost had cancer because of it. I am TIRED of going out into the sun in the fun summer & getting burned. My body has moles pretty much all over, so over & done w having them checked & chunked off my body like I'm a piece of meat.
Doctor can u please help me I have this mole which has been on my foot since I was born I was insecured about it so I tried a home remedy which told to put garlic on it I did it for 3 days then it turned into a blister which had fluid in it . Then when the blister popped there is pus coming out of my mole and I’m scared

Has anyone heard about the sensation of bugs on skin or anything like that? How long does skin cancer last for before getting worser without any treatment? I dont think i have it, I think I just have a wart but like it is dark but not completely black... looks very dry too and I've had it for almost 1 year and it hasn't gotten big or anything but I'm kinda worried it may be something else... gonna check with my school nurse cause I dont think it's something I would need to go to a busy doctor for considering the pandemic...

I’m brown skinned Mexican but I think I have it. I’ve been feeling sick for a while now and maybe about a month ago I got these things that look like little black heads under my eye near my nose. At first I was able to pop them but then soon I was no longer able to pop them they did go away a little but i can notice it still not only that I got a scab on my left arm like two weeks ago maybe one and it hasn’t gone away. And these three bruise looking things on my leg that haven’t gone away and make no sense to why I have the . I have other medical problems with my skin with infections prior to these cancer symptoms so fuck it. Seeing a doctor In three days for a totally unrelated problem but hope he can check me out quick. I know this is horrible to think and say but Im sure I have it hope it goes well.

Skin tag, you can have it removed if it bothers you but if not there doesn't sound like any reason to be concerned, you should definitely have it checked out just to be safe but they are relatively common otherwise.. you can get them anywhere on your body.

Melanomas can range in size! So any spot (small or large) that you’re concerned about or is changing should be checked out by a dermatologist.
