To be fair, Oogway only knew Po for like one second before making him the Dragon Warrior, at least with Po, it took like two nights to get to know Zhen Granted Oogwag sort of saw the future, so it make sense
Well to be fair, Oogway didn't see any future for Po being the dragon Warrior. It just happened and he just went along with it, for when he meets Po he says "interesting". Plus it's also foreshadowed early on when Shifu asked who would get the Dragon Scroll and Oogway said he didn't know.
He lived for at least 1000 years and saw many things, some even mystical. Of course, he's going to believe in fate. On a side note, pandas were the ones who taught him Chi, so he's going to hold their species in high regard because he saw what they are capable of.

It would have been nice for Po to pick Tigress. Help their story end nicely. Then Zhen could have become a new member of the next Furious Five. Zhen could still become the next Dragon Warrior eventually.
Honestly I feel like Tigress probably wouldn’t even want the title of Dragon Warrior anymore, she’s over it and is Po’s trusted friend and right-hand. It makes sense to have someone new be the Dragon Warrior like how Po himself was pretty new to this stuff having the grow into the role
Not a bad idea honestly. Tigress probably would have turned the role down anyway because even if it's she wants that considering her companionship with po.
Literally my thoughts, you can't say she is better than KAI. At least Kai was actually threatening and his theme is the best from all the movies. What did she do threatening, push someone down the stairs?

I think in order to remedy the furious five's lack of involvement in this one the next movie if any can center around the training of the new five, they can even call it Kungfu Panda Furious Five, and keeping with that theme of inversions as any good saga should they message in this movie should revolve around returning to your roots or rekindling old relation ships like Po reconnecting with the Five and Zhen learns to not to abandon who trickster ways but to combine them with Po's teachings, showing that as step back can still be a step forward without backtracking the characters
I still feel like this movie missed everything that made the first Kung Fu Pandas such great movies, which is the overall message being conveyed and understood by the end and having a resolution everyone feels good about Bringing Tai Lung back just for a nostalgic cameo is such a waste for his character, which is one of the best in KFP, it would have been amazing if he was brought back and was defeated, his defeat couls have wounded him deeply emotionally convinced maybe he was always a faliure, then through out the film he decides he has to help Po defea the villian and you coudlnhave some insanely deep moments with Po and Tai Lung sinply talking, outting Tai Lungs views on the world and himself into question then in the final battle when it looks like Po might lose and Tai Lung is given the opportunity to betray Po he refuses and helps Po in the final encounter showing how he has evolved past his anger and hatred and his humbling makes Po decide to make him the new Dragon Warrior. Thsi would have been the best arc in Kung Fu Panda is this was how things played out. This would have fit into the message of change the movie was going for and would have helped finish Tai Lungs character arc with him coming back as a better person and reuniting him with shifu at the end and both apologising for each of their mistakes. The little fox character was just annoying honestly but i would have prefered it if in this movie the furious 5 were disbanding to pursue their own future. Po would have a hard time reconciling with this since he doesnt wa t everone to leave him and in the end when he accept that he too must change to pursue his own future this would call Po to create a new furious 5 with Zhen possiblly leading the new team being trained by Po. Had this been the story we could have had many character fo through their respective arcs and possibly had one of the best Kung Fu Panda films Po learns to accept change and embracses his role as spiritual leader and teacher Tai Lung learns where he went wrong and changes to put aside his self entitlement and brutality for a slighly more gentle nature And Zhen puts her life of crime behind her to better herself and become more than what she was Also cutting out the whole sub plot with Po's two fathers (it really didnt add anything to the plot beyond bad slapstick comedy)
Finally someone not totally hating kung fu panda 4 . I just watched it the other day and i absolutely loved it. Movies were made to be enjoyed not nitpicked
So, if there is a fifth film, i have a take that i think will really develop Po and Zhen's dynamic. Because Zhen's a fox, they can delve into how sterytoped foxds are as untrustworthy and the village sees this as a bad move on Po's part to give the Dragon Warrior title to a shifty ex criminal fox. This will give Zhen a great story that shows her insecurities and how she's desperate to prove her worth to Po. Then, for the big bad, we have someone who can use toxins like a giant scorpion and manifest it into fear toxins; the main theme of the film would be conquering your fears. This would give great scary visual elements and give Po and Zhen a great story where Zhen is exposed to the toxin and we see her worst fear is letting Po, the one person who believed in her, down, and abandoning her. This would give Po great development as a master to Zhen who helps her overcome her fears and assures her that he would never abandon her. They could even bring parallels in from the previous films where we see Po teach Zhen about inner peace, and for what keeps her from finding it is the fear of letting Po down. And there could be a great parallel of Zhen having the inner peace scene that Po had where this is her using it to clense herself of the toxin. It be a great way to reintroduce the things Po has learned to help ttain his successor without feeling like it's rehashing plots. What do you think?

Fair review and I generally agree 👍I like your positivity among all the negative videos. I'm glad to see someone finally appreciating the chameleon as a villain. Her motives were pretty clear to me. And her ability to shapeshift was what made her threatening. People are complaining that she only pushed someone down the stairs. But she really didn't have to do anything more than that. It was already enough to intimidate the crime bosses because it was just a warning. They knew she was capable of much more.

Umm, Chameleon kinda sucks as a villain. The small size thing kinda flops when you remember Masters Frog, Chicken, *Chipmunk* and even Mantis himself! Plus her powers are kinda copied off Kai, but arguably less so as he could use a whole army of masters.
If she could open portals to the spirit realm all along like we were lead to believe from the trailers she'd be up there with the rest of the big 3 villains but unvealing that most of what we saw from the trailer happens by the end and it was all due to Po and giving his staff away makes her fall extremely short. It doesnt help the fact that she was so easily beaten by Pos staff the reason for this charade in the first place. The last 3 villains Po had to struggle to beat, but here he was clearly holding back all to let Foxuafina shine...
I personally was neutral about the film. The decisions they made for the plot went in directions that I wouldn't have chosen. Biggest one being that Po needing to retire when we don't even know how long he's been the Dragon Warrior in the first place. At most it feels like a year or 2 since Po was Dragon Warrior in story to me. Though there were still parts of the movie I did enjoy though. Li and Ping's scenes were fun to watch, even if their inclusion probably harmed the story because it left less time for Po and Zhen's master/student bond to really flesh out. It's a darned if you do, darned if you don't situation and I choose to be grateful that Li and Ping's scenes were entertaining. The actions scenes were enjoyable and there were other funny moments too. However, I just couldn't help but feel when I left the film that I don't regret watching it, but I wouldn't rush to see it again. I love the series and setting too much for me to say I'm done with the franchise and just sticking to the 3 movies and the Secrets shorts. So I still look forward to seeing whatever comes next for the series, my meh feelings for the film isn't going to stop that. Though, I'm happy to see that you had a more positive review of it compared to my neutral feelings. Your positivity is always a breath of fresh air. :3
I always love how they always make good villains another one kung fu panda villain would love to see is fang wong an master who can fight through time would be really cool
To be fair about Po choosing Zhen despite not knowing her for long Oogway literally knew Po for like second before he chose him. Although, if done right I probably still would have preferred Tigress, Shifu or even post-redemption Tai-Lung or even a scene where they refuse for whatever reason. I think it'd make the most sense for Tai-Lung to refuse the title. Since it'd be a good way for him to complete his character arch and show he did learn the lesson in the first movie. That he didn't need the scroll or title to be special and was already special. Also, it would use the lesson in the 2nd movie, The past doesn't matter, it's who you choose you choose to be now since he no longer needs to try and be the Dragon Warrior. The Lesson also works if he becomes the Dragon Warrior since what he did, while bad is still forgivable. I mean Po was ready to Forgive Shen for the attempted genocide of his race and the Chameleon for all that she's done. I think it would have made more sense for Po to elect Tigress and have Zhen replace her in the 5, that way the Furious 5 still contains 5 members. Shifu becoming the Dragon Warrior would also be cool since he is the guy who trained 3 separate people to become the Dragon Warrior, 7 if you include all of the 5 and not just Tigress however, I don't think he ever thought Viper, Mantis, Crane or Monkey was going to become the Dragon warrior. Shifu is also the 2nd strongest warrior in the Valley Peace. That being said I'll still take this over a bad handing of the torch to any of the other characters.
Oogway can see the future and read ppls souls. Po was pure kind hearted Panda destined to defeat Kai which is why Oogway chosen him unlike Tai Lung who had Darkness to overcome. Zhen was a tainted dark soul from the start and Po couldnt see that cause hes so gullible and naive which is what the enemy used to their advantage. How are we supposed trust his decisions in chosing the Dragon Warrior when he cant even trust himself? This movie essentially admitted Po is at fault for this entire charade. The vision he saw of Chameleon is a result of his actions because he let it happened. Po ignores Shifus advice and warnings, breaks a criminal (A FREAKING CRIMINAL) out to find the villain before looking for other options. He turns into a stooge for that criminal and then gets backstabbed by her by lending his staff so easily. Thats Oogways Staff a staff that must be given to unlock its secrets. Po traded his most prized possession for the sake of what little bonds and trust he has with a stranger hes only met for a day. Thats like Shifu outright handing Po the secret to limitless power because hes been deemed the Dragon Warrior. Worst depiction of passing the torch I done seen in fiction 🤦♂️
@@SiNKarnage I don't get why you are bad that she's a criminal. Remember the 2nd movie where Po literally forgave the man who tried to genocide his entire race. While I will admit that the movie wasn’t as good as its predecessors, I still had a lot of fun with it!
Whens mario part 3
Huh, so, the Movie is out?
Pretty fair Ranking, you did this very well,
So, is it confirmed if this is the Last One?
By the way, would anyone like to see a Furious Five Movie? I have had somewhat of an idea for one.
The chameleon was trash😅😂😭
While this was probably the weakest of the 4 movies, it’s by no means a bad movie. I had fun with it.
I honestly forgot the reference fire were thaer
The movie is fine but it was a little to predictable and compared to the rest of the trilogy. It’s a noticeable decline in quality
Of course jack black is the best part and the villain is pretty cool
Hey, just for the record the super Mario Bros 2 is coming out in April 3 2026😊
No
It was a pretty fun movie.
underrated movie
This is what I call complacent. Because you won't put anything in this mediocre movie below C, your C actually means F to me.
Hi
What about Han, he was a pretty memorable new character
I feel like ppl r being way too nice to this movie. We all love kung fu panda but I mean come on this mess should never be held up to even kung fu panda 3. It’s nice to be positive but we should still keep our standards.
Thanks to this movie I realized just how good Kung Fu Panda 3 is, even if it doesn't compare to the first and second. Like, you can't say the Chameleon is better than KAI. At the very least Kai was threatening and left a lot of impact on Po. The first 3 villains had a theme
Tai Lung: Strength
Lord Shen: Mind
Kai: Spirit
Chameleon: whatever the hell she has to be
I was really disappointed when I left the theaters, I feel like I had wasted my money.
@@SkylerDemness same and it was dishonest too unlike megamind that looked bad from the get go. In the trailers they showed iffy but decent stuff and the movie itself was much worse it was hiding
"I feel like ppl r being way too nice to this movie."
Every other reviewer is hating on it.
@@jeremychicken3339 this comment was made when all those vids weren’t out yet they have been steadily trickling onto TH-cam like since the day I posted this
How did no one know who Po was?
I'd say Cee Lo Kung Fu Fighting is still the better song. One More Time is definitely a strong 2nd.
Well hey at least someone liked this movie.
Why would you put chameleon over Kai.
Pls do an Amphibia stream
The movie wasn't great
For me the weakest part of the movie was definitely The villains from the previous movies not really doing anything they're there but only one of them actually speaks and even then there was a lot more that should have been done with him he doesn't even interact with his old master at all
in the first movies villain was actually the villain that had the least to do with po Po they barely interacted he only learned the panda existed when he arrived for the final fight Still they knew each other for I think two minutes at best 5 being generous
and the villains of the second and third movie you're just There silent shen even bows At the end despite their intense personal hatred of each other
8:28 I ship it
Mike mitchell ruined the movie
Am I the only one who ships Mr Ping and Li after this movie?
Movie two iis my fav
10:11 uhm…
Sorry I didn't watch when the video dropped. I hadn't seen the movie yet...
Everything: F tier, end of story. 😂
