- We're pleased to bring you the latest installment of the American Roots Sessions, this time with folk punk singer-songwriter Eric Wilkinson.
Eric performed two original songs titled "Dirt Tough" and "They Peed On Your Rug, Dude" as well as a cover of the Rancid classic "Black Derby Jacket," a fitting song considering Eric's vocal style is similar to Matt Freeman's!

I have heard every Black Derby Jacket cover on TH-cam and this one is still far and away the best. I think I may prefer it to the original. You preserve everything great about Matt's vocals but bring out all the heart that was lying dormant at thrash speed.

I cant say Eric here didnt make it his, also. Although I wouldnt try to imitate Freeman's raspy sound.
