I just turned 30. 20 years ago, I started my Pokemon journey in the form of buying a Gameboy Color, Pokemon Red and Crystal; I mowed lawns and cleaned houses with my mom on the weekends to afford it. This music brings me so many emotions. The amount of chills and hair-raising moments listening to this makes me giggle and eyes water. Even though my past was humble and tragic, Pokemon always took to a new world and made me forget all the chaos. As I type this, while getting ready for this COVID school year (I teach) , I think of how simple life used to be. Just get home from school and play until my batteries died or my mother yelling at me :) Anyway, I listen to this everyday at work, and makes me so happy. I hope all of you loved Pokemon as much as I did. Much love, my fellow PokeManiacs.
Hey there, same same! I'm also 30 and I still play pokemon and listen to the music. Just bought Ultramoon (used on ebay lol) and all the new features still excite me and I have so much fun playing the games, even as the 30 year old weirdo that I am
I was born the year you started... wow 😅 I feel like a child haha 😂 Thank you for teaching during this hard time, and teaching at all in fact. I know teachers are getting a lot of flack right now which you guys don't deserve. I hope your students appreciate you!
Whenever I hear the ending theme of Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, I get overwhelmed by feelings of nostalgia, sadness, and a desire for a Generation 4 remake. XD
That was me with Gen 3. ORAS had me in tears every five minutes. I grew up with Gen 4 too (like 400 hrs on Diamond, yikes), but Gen 3 was my first and holds a very special place in my heart. If you're like me, Gen 4 remakes will have you bawling. XD
I'd just like to say that I really LOVE Pokémon with all my heart. I've been playing since eight years ago, during Generation 4's hayday. Pokémon really shaped my childhood, and I'd always be excited for each new generation. I just love it so much! It was one of the first video game series I got into, and I even watched the anime a bit when I was younger. So if you feel the same and want to pay tribute to this awesome series, shout it out! I'm never gonna get too old for Pokémon, no matter what anyone says!
I have played since I was 3, even though I really had no clue what I was doing at the time. But when I got a hold of Sapphire when I was 5, I played it to death. Then I got Diamond, and I played it for a very long time until finally Heart Gold and Soul Silver came out. I had thought they were completely new games, but lo and behold, they were remakes of my first game! It was amazing to go back to a revamped Johto when I was about 7 years older than my first journey. Then Black and White came out, and I had to wait a year to get them. It was awful. But I finally got it, yet failed to enjoy it fully. Then Black 2 and White 2 came. I am sad to say I did not play them until 2015, because I hadn't enjoyed the first ones all too much. But anyways, I loved X and Y, probably one of the most fun generations to play. And ORAS were amazing as well, and I am so hyped for Sun and Moon. And hopefully after that, Gen 4 remakes. I've had a long Pokémon journey, and I hope it continues until the day I die. Thanks for reading (If you bothered lol), have a great day peeps!
OMG, I am exactly like you, im from the 4th gen, and today i realised how much Pokémon means to me, and i almost dropped a tear. you don't now how much i would give to live in the real pokemon world.
Almost the same, 15 years playing since I'm 7, started with the 2nd gen and done the 1st one after. 22 years, still LOOOOOOVE it, I'm from Europe so I have to wait for the 7th gen 2 days before the delivrance. I would looove to play now :$ When I was children~young teen my parents used to say that soon Pokémon will not be something important anymore. Now I'm more implicated than ever in the community :') And they stopped to say it XDDD I think they are resignated lol ♥
OMG so many ppl from Gen 4 as well. DPPT was one of the best out there. I remember when I started off I kept getting my butt kicked (It's hard you know) and I think the most time I reside in the Pkmn center for that reason. Cynthia, Cyrus, Fantina and all sorts of gym leaders. It took me an solid year to beat Cynthia ffs XD. But still, it is the game that led me to Pokemon. And I love it from any angle, any time. And with the tradition in GF, I'm going to buy a 3DS sooner or later, cause I'm going to get my hands on DP remakes no matter what.
Unova holds a special place in my heart. It was my first game, first anime, first manga, and first TCG. Just listening to all the Unova soundtrack I grew up with makes me emotional...
hey man it was my first pokemon game, and it was the first time i understood something in the world of pokemon beside "Pikachu thunderbolt!". but I hope we can both agree... Unova is the best.
Gen 5 music is the greatest man. That story, those mons, awesome new graphics, & damn cool calming music✨💙 lacuonsa town, lacuonsa summer, skyarrow bridge, route 10, asperitia city, N's farewell.. 🥺
Not even gonna lie, I teared up at the littleroot theme. Omega ruby was my very first pokemon game ever and i remember being so excited when i got home to play it when i was 9. All the memories and nostalgia that song gives me are just wonderful.
My first game was the Blue edition(when i was around 6 years old), but I fell home to the Hoenn region on Saphire and Emerald, when i was about the same age as you were when you played omega ruby. To know that the younger Generation has the same feeling for this Pokemon Region makes me so happy.
I purchased sapphire used at a gamestop as a kid. I think DS games were out for a little bit but gameboy advanced games were still being played. Pokemon Diamond was my first brand new traditional style Pokémon game.
@@hudsondunbar7853 It’s funny because Pokémon actually inspired me to go into writing and making my own stories. I’ve been learning to write novels for the last three years and I actually started working on a fan Pokémon region.
yeah I really liked the mechanics, art, and the fact you could rebattle trainers. It gave me a lot of hope for future pokemon games because x and y was kinda shallow I just don't particularly like hoenn as a region. I love ruby, sapphire, and emerald though. its just the region design.
ORAS was pretty good, to be honest. I kinda enjoyed the water, primarily because of the diving mechanic, but of course, the Soar mechanic was godly, here's hoping US and UM bring something like that back
"Escape through the Snow" Has to be the emotional height of Red Rescue Team. It brings back so many teary memories of playing the game in the dead of night.
I just recently played the remake on switch and this part of the game brought tears back into my eyes. Listening to the old music today is even better.
I've never even played any of the Pokémon games, as I'm in 14 and didn't get a chance to play original Pokémon games, and.. I still feel a heavy mix of emotions from these soundtracks. I loved the Pokémon anime as a kid, and even if the tracks are not really related it still makes me miss childhood the more I listen to it. At the same time I feel relief, confusion and sadness. It's a weird feeling... thank you for putting this playlist out here, I think most of us need it now more than ever.
Twinleaf Town Girl Diya Oh! I do apologize, please pay no mind to my childish way of expressing, every now and then I forget how boring one must be in order to properly represent how old we are. Please! I dunno how many adults you know out there but I'm one of the few who still hold true to their hearts. XD
Y'know now that I think about it, HeartGold/SoulSilver did a good job making Lavender Town sound more sincere instead of eery and sinister by adding simple harmonies and changing the octave and key a tad. Makes me appreciate the GBA and DS era of Pokémon's music a whole lot more.
Every single track of HeartGold just reminds me of this amazing game again. It was my first Pokemon Game. I know all the melodies by heart and still know exactly to what town/battle what ever they belong. Crazy how things like that stick in your brain
Felix Gedrat Dinklage ikr listening to all this really made me think and remember everything i miss pokemon so much i can no longer have the same happiness and enjoyment pokemon gave me. like dp was my everything back then game and anime it makes me somewhat sad. but i love it :)
Yessss At the time I first didn't have a DS. My friend would let me play a bit on his. I loved the feeling of curiosity, as I hadn't played pkmn before. I love DP. Eagerly waiting for the remakes!
i love Diamond and Pearl! It was the first generation of anime I watched. Unfortunately, like any company, Pokemon is not as good as it used to me.... Maybe because i thought differently when I was younger? Either way, it’s so sad, pokemon is seemingly getting ..... worse :”((((((((
I really like this! The music combo in the video really brings out the theme. Speaking of theme, the wallpaper is an excellent background to show. Another thing is the snow particles, it makes you feel like your actually there, watching the scene! I guess what i'm trying to say is, Fantastic Job.
+Meezter Ah yes, thanks for reminding me. I'm a bit busy with school at the moment, but I'll see if I can make time to make a download link today or tomorrow.
It's so sweet to see the comments about everyone's childhood being full of this music, even if it's different generations. Pokemon has just had that charm since it first came out. I'm of the gold/silver generation, but fell in love especially with ruby when I was a bit older. Happy pokemon blessings for all of the friends here ^,^
For some reason when I listen to N's farewell I want to cry but instead my mind gets flooded with memories of the first pokemon game I ever played. I remember my 6 year old self playing through this game and all the enjoyment I had. This game just changed everything for me and gave me a way to have an outlet from the "real world". Now being a junior in high school I enjoy looking back at when the times were much more fun and I could enjoy myself. This theme just represents how fun childhood was for me. Every time I listen to it I can't help but think how I'd love to reverse time and play this as 6 year old me one more time.
just turned 19 this year, although i haven't really played aall of the pokemon games most of the soundtracks resonate in my heart, i can still remember the days when i got home from school and rushed to my mum and asked her if i was allowed to play with the DS. All of the time i used to play pokemon games on it and i can't even point out how many nice and lovely moments i've had with this series, be it from fighting arceus in Platinum fighting cynthia beating her for my first ever champion title and juts simply me hiding under the blanket at night and secretly play more pokemon, man i wish i could relive my childhood. i wish all of you people in this pandemic the best you can have and i really hope you're all doing fine, it was truly a blast playing pokemon with you wonderful people thank you for tradaing with me, fighting with me, digging up fossils with me, building secret bases with me, and most importantly brightening out my childhood and making it as fun as it was. i can't thank you all enough. also big thank you to braix for making this awesome collection!
I know that all of these songs have tons of nostalgia for me, but it helped me get through surgery. I listened to this while I had to be awake and it helped calm me down a lot. I have some sadder memories listening to it during 5th grade (in 8th now) but that’s fine. It helped me get through the tough times and whenever I come back here to study I can look back on my childhood memories. Thank you :)
Dream eater remix is the best lavender town theme you can get to if you have internet that is but it is worth it because the song is amazing and depending on the one you choose the art is awesome if you find the one with Gengar listen to the entire theme undertale players near the end you can kind of hear gasters theme slightly if you pay attention
Same! Gen 4 was amazing and my first generation, but Gen 5 was the region that really made me realise how much I loved Pokemon. These themes are making me cry in my room ugh
pokémon basically was my whole childhood, i’d watch it on the box tv when i still lived in a apartment complex with my mother and older sister. i would watch day and night and had stuffed animals of my favorite pokémon. now im older, but i still LOVE pokémon severely and i have over 400+ pokémon cards and items. i always love rewatching every movie and seasons, etc. i would always watch the movies and seasons when they would just come out, i would say more-but i’m in the middle of playing the pixelmon mod on minecraft.
No video game song hits me as hard in the feels as “Lake” from Diamond and Pearl. It hits me with nostalgia so hard that it makes me emotional almost every time I hear it. I love Pokémon. ❤️
pokemon HG & SS hold a special place in my heart. My first nintendo ds game and also my first pokemon. I love every song from them. Everything about these games was and still perfect. I can say it's my favorite game ever.
I am so glad that you included a few pieces from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates To Infinity, that makes me really happy because that underrated game's soundtrack doesn't get enough praise. All the pieces from it are truly beautiful. So thank you, thank you so much.
Words can't tell how much Pokemon has become a part of myself. The pure emotion I go through when listening to this music makes me happy and sad at the same time. Longing for my childhood I look back and only remember the good old days. Thanks for making me relive these emotions
The ending theme always gets me. Pokemon Pearl being my first ever exposure to Pokemon and having sunk 500 hours of my childhood into it. The culmination of childhood achievements in beating Cynthia and becoming Champion. There's nothing quite like it. The memories. The nostalgia. Why am I tearing up?!
The quality of this compilation is that of previously unseen measures. Time to stop attempting to sound smart and just compliment this video for all it's worth, which is a lot. The time links in the description, the *very* helpful annotations on the screen. Not to mention the quality of the music. I thank you with all my heart for making this.
16 years ago, I started my journey through Hoenn then to Sinnoh afterwards I traveled to Johto and Kanto before heading for Unova. Kalos followed afterwards, next came Alola finally I crossed over into Galar. I made so many friends whether they were a person or Pokémon but the partners I traveled with were more like family than anything. At first I thought the journey would be lonely but I never was alone, my Pokémon were always there. I honestly didn’t expect to come so far, meet so many people, see such amazing places! I’ll always cherish the memories made as well as the battles fought
Idk if this is just a coincidence but Sinnoh music has always been the most peaceful music for me as a longtime Pokémon gamer. Or at least 4th generation PKMN games
Gen four was honestly the peak for Pokémon. I’m talking from having platinum, pearl, and heart gold as a child. These songs bring such immense nostalgia that it makes me feel a new emotion. Thank you for this video.
I just wanna say, that volumes 1, 2, and 3 of these videos got me through college studying, when nothing else could. They helped keep me sane and these videos mean so much to me. I use them now as relaxing background music. Thank you ^_^
Gen 4 music is absolutely unbeaten, but Gen 5 is honestly a close second for me. Not a single bad track from either gen. This really takes me back to a simpler time that I wish I could re-live, especially with how the world is now. Listening to this music just makes everything feel okay for the moment.
I'm studying to be more productive when the semester starts, and I stumbled upon this. Just want to say that your effort is incredible. You make a routine so boring into an adventure that I can't resist to join. Thank you so much for this. I really love Pokémon and this is such a cool playlist to bring me memories. Hope you all have a great day. Greetings from Madrid.
Vaniville Town is so nostalgic for me. I remember starting Pokemon Y. Having to ask my mom to help me get out of the first house. This and lumiose city bring all those memories back.
I still remember watching my sister on Pokemon yellow when I was a kid and now finishing the crown tundra DLC yesterday. Pokemon has always been such a staple n my life, and although I'm finding it harder and harder to fall in love with the newer games, I hold Gen 3 to 6 particularly close to my heart. In my eyes they were the golden age of Pokemon, and while I'll likely never stop playing the newer games, they will never quite make me feel the way those generations did!
1:33:37 I just realized this song has quite references to Don't Ever Forget. Is just amazing how Pokémon has one of the best soundtracks in videogames history and how people can't realize that. Simply amazing :D
Thank you for these videos they are absolutely beautiful and hit the right chord in every sense, they never fail to make me giddy and sad at the same time. I appreciate the work you put in for these thank you again.
sure, i miss the past. back when my young friends and i played pokemon on our dses and had fun in the underground making bases. but i also look forward to the future, when i will be able to do the same with older friends. nostalgia, as great as it is, can let you see through rose tinted glasses. enjoy your memories of the past, but embrace those of the future as well.
Make sure to follow me on Twitter (@braixen1264) to partake in future polls to decide songs, suggest video ideas, and the like! Chances are, I'll be posting and replying to stuff a lot more often on there as opposed to here.
It's pretty sad bc i've listened to this compilation/others of yours so much that I already know what the next song in the compilation is going to sound like. (I've probably listened to this one 20 times bc pokemon is my go to choice of music). Also thank you so much for blessing me with these pokemon compilations they're honestly super relaxing (my cat approves of them too).
This is such a beautiful compilation. Thank you for making it available. It makes me so happy when I hear one of the songs I recognize from playing these games while growing up.
HG/SS music starts playing, instant tears flowin'. SoulSilver was my childhood, 2009 me loved that game SO much, and hearing this reminds me of my old friends, both pokemon and real life.
Suprise, a wild Viridian Forest appeared! Great video. If you're making more I'll put in a vote for Temporal Spire from PMD2. There is just something so soothing with its rhythm.
braix haha nope! I think that’s awesome and envy you for being able to make such great videos ❤️! I don’t know why my phone is now notifying me about this 😂
Just the fucking fact that they put little annotations at the top and went through this hour plus long video that they not only edited together. But uploaded for everyone else AND put time stamps like enough. This is what a respected youtuber looks like right here.
I'm 20 years old, and I've literally grown up with pokemon. I still remember playing yellow on my sisters gameboy as a toddler for the first time, and the franchise has had my heart ever since. I always thought I'd grow out of it, or grow to resent it as it changed over the years but I was so wrong. Every autumn when new games are released, I become that little excited toddler again. Nintendo allows me to feel eternally young, and I wouldn't have it any other way!
Just saw how this video was uploaded about 7 years ago. I can't even remember how many years I've listened this and the other Pokemon music on this channel while studying. Here's to many more years of listening to these gems of nostalgia and gaming history.
The national park gives me memories, not from hgss though. It was used in pokemon brick bronze as the Anthian park theme(I think it was named like that). This game was my whole childhood: I spent months grinding this game, MONTHS. It was my favourite to play with my friends, and I remember when i first heard it was an actual theme from pokemon after the game was taken down, I was so happy.
Hey Braixen1264 you should definatly make another one of these if possible:) Me and my wife have listened to both of your videos like this like 4 times now while playing games on my pc haha
+Muffin Man Of course, I'm planning on making a new one after the new games Sun and Moon release, and one last compilation of only the old generations' music. :)
Ok great man:) Ill subscribe to you for all your hard work and so ill be notified when your new playlist comes out, Btw I really love the falling snow effect! c:
@@buraikusu For you're old generations' music (which I'm guessing is gen 3 and before considering everything here is gen 4 +), can you please add Hoenn's surf theme? Thank you.
I grew up watching the anime Pokémon in Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos. Now, a few years later, I started watching the anime again starting in Unova. Watching the anime in Unova again made me SO nostalgic and the anime in Kalos... I just love it. Right now I'm in Alola, but I just want to get to Galar so i can get the hype of new episodes with everybody else. I have a Nintendo DSi since I was a kid but I never had a Pokémon game, but on my last birthday my parents offered me Pokémon White, SoulSilver and Pearl. I am happy for having the Nintendo DSi because it has games from gen 2 to gen 5 and I want to play them all. I love Pokémon!
The creepy pastas kind of. But I think the creepy pastas originate from the fact that the original unedited green version is beyond eerie AND the high pitched notes that alternate quickly between left and right ears while listening with headphones can cause headaches.
if you ever randomly check the comments uploader person, I just want you to know this compilation has been in the background of me doing homework/ actual work/ just hanging out for likely well over 50 hours of my life. It's just real cozy and nice and even visually it doesn't get annoying to look at and have going on one of my screens while I listen. It's just real nice. Thank you very much

I would looove to play now :$
When I was children~young teen my parents used to say that soon Pokémon will not be something important anymore.
Same with me, especially route 10, that song always hits me in the feels.
Same bro, good memories, Unova for life
Same except sinnoh was my first anime but unova will always be my favorite
To know that the younger Generation has the same feeling for this Pokemon Region makes me so happy.
the same here... ;)
same i loved this game so much
I purchased sapphire used at a gamestop as a kid. I think DS games were out for a little bit but gameboy advanced games were still being played. Pokemon Diamond was my first brand new traditional style Pokémon game.
My first game was Pokemon Moon. I don't even remmber my team, but on my sun I did rock an incineroar
The Aspertia City theme from Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 got me balling my eyes out man; I miss my childhood so much...
literally same. pokemon was my entire childhood. without it i’m incomplete. these videos are such a gorgeous homage to that.
@@riverb9783 this music especially Sinnoh had such a special place in my heart it drove me to study music
@@hudsondunbar7853 It’s funny because Pokémon actually inspired me to go into writing and making my own stories. I’ve been learning to write novels for the last three years and I actually started working on a fan Pokémon region.
@@riverb9783 Hell yes. Stay inspired my friend!
@@hudsondunbar7853 You too!! Best of luck to you.
Littleroot town really brings back memories
awful memories of how bad the gameplay was for QRAS and Hoenn's excessive amount of water
Caleb Campbell that's your opinion mine is that ORAS was good
Oras gameplay was good, it's the newest games except sun and moon
yeah I really liked the mechanics, art, and the fact you could rebattle trainers. It gave me a lot of hope for future pokemon games because x and y was kinda shallow
I just don't particularly like hoenn as a region.
46:07 will forever be my favorite. Something about it really takes me back.
same man, im sitting at my work desk right now this takes me back to simpler times :))
How is it possible that as soon as I read this comment, the song started
So good and so nostalgic !!! 🔥🔥🔥
mine too! its actually probably my favorite video game bgm in general.
A thank you, this was exactly the song i was looking for, lol
I've never even played any of the Pokémon games, as I'm in 14 and didn't get a chance to play original Pokémon games, and.. I still feel a heavy mix of emotions from these soundtracks. I loved the Pokémon anime as a kid, and even if the tracks are not really related it still makes me miss childhood the more I listen to it. At the same time I feel relief, confusion and sadness. It's a weird feeling... thank you for putting this playlist out here, I think most of us need it now more than ever.
i cant believe this came out 7 years ago, ive watched this video for sleeping since i was in middle school 😭😭😭
God gen 4 just has the greatest music
Maybe because 5 and 6 are too recent to be memorable and nostalgic, and 1, 2 you had no clue what you were doing
Tozé Nugueira No
Charlie Chuckles kden
And the greatest childhood memories...
or maybe because gen 4 just has the best Music.
In 10 years pokemon X/Y will be old school pokemon
Golden Pig oh my god
_THAT MAKES ME REALLY UPSET BECAUSE I TURN TWENTY-TWO IN TEN YEARS AND NEVER GET TO ENJOY THE OLD GAMES_
B*tch please! I was 10 when Ash Ketchum was 10 on the Indigo League. He should be 30-31 by now xDDDDD
xD cuz there be children here!!!
Twinleaf Town Girl Diya
Oh!
Hearing Mystery Dungeon music is always a treat. Love those games to pieces. Especially Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time, Darkness, and Sky.
Personally the PMD Explorers soundtrack is my favorite, followed closely by Pokemon DPPt and PSMD
braix UR ALIVE !!!!
Hadican yeah.. the music and the games will always be my favorite part about Pokémon. Especially with the remakes too
here's to hoping for a remake!
Little did you know, there would be a new mystery dungeon game
So, N's Farewell and Lament of Falling Stars simply killed me, but in a good way.
+Helena Black That's what I'm here for
Defend globe is totally amazing
Lament of Falling Stars. Oh man I remember that scene so well. Top 5 most emotional scenes in Pokémon games
Eterna City's theme made me remember of my childhood so much! Thank you for this!
Felix Gedrat Dinklage ikr listening to all this really made me think and remember everything i miss pokemon so much i can no longer have the same happiness and enjoyment pokemon gave me. like dp was my everything back then game and anime it makes me somewhat sad. but i love it :)
Yessss
At the time I first didn't have a DS.
Either way, it’s so sad, pokemon is seemingly getting ..... worse :”((((((((
Felix Gedrat Dinklage same
I really like this!
The music combo in the video really brings out the theme.
Speaking of theme, the wallpaper is an excellent background to show.
Another thing is the snow particles, it makes you feel like your actually there, watching the scene!
I guess what i'm trying to say is, Fantastic Job.
+Gastly Gaming Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
+Gastly Gaming Thanks, I'm glad you liked it!
No problem, keep up the good work!
Will there be a download link, like the first?
To anyone reading this just know that you are a Pokemon Master and I hope the rest of your days are full of adventure and wonder!
just turned 19 this year, although i haven't really played aall of the pokemon games most of the soundtracks resonate in my heart, i can still remember the days when i got home from school and rushed to my mum and asked her if i was allowed to play with the DS.
All of the time i used to play pokemon games on it and i can't even point out how many nice and lovely moments i've had with this series, be it from fighting arceus in Platinum fighting cynthia
beating her for my first ever champion title and juts simply me hiding under the blanket at night and secretly play more pokemon, man i wish i could relive my childhood.
i wish all of you people in this pandemic the best you can have and i really hope you're all doing fine, it was truly a blast playing pokemon with you wonderful people thank you for tradaing with me, fighting with me, digging up fossils with me, building secret bases with me, and most importantly brightening out my childhood and making it as fun as it was.
i can't thank you all enough.
also big thank you to braix for making this awesome collection!
The Azalea Town one is the hymn of my childhood. The best of the best. Gosh, I really want to get back to those days. Everything was way simpler
Pokémon is always gonna have a place in my heart. I grew up playing Pokémon as a child and this playlist of music really brings nostalgia.
Lavender Town is relaxing...yes...
yeah... for the other versions, however, it's really disturbing. god bless the 4th gen
Lavender Town has the most unbearable of all Pokemon town themes. It's grating and annoying.
Dream eater remix is the best lavender town theme you can get to if you have internet that is but it is worth it because the song is amazing and depending on the one you choose the art is awesome if you find the one with Gengar listen to the entire theme undertale players near the end you can kind of hear gasters theme slightly if you pay attention
i find the original lavender town sound track relaxing for some reason....
Gen 1 Lavender Town is the #1 creepypasta soundtrack.
listen back all the BW soundtrack make me miss my adventure at Unova,BW/BW2 always my favorite series
Same! Gen 4 was amazing and my first generation, but Gen 5 was the region that really made me realise how much I loved Pokemon. These themes are making me cry in my room ugh
Dreamyard is the best out of all the rest and that’s good bc BW is also May fav, it’s just so vibrant and the story was great
pokémon basically was my whole childhood, i’d watch it on the box tv when i still lived in a apartment complex with my mother and older sister. i would watch day and night and had stuffed animals of my favorite pokémon. now im older, but i still LOVE pokémon severely and i have over 400+ pokémon cards and items. i always love rewatching every movie and seasons, etc. i would always watch the movies and seasons when they would just come out, i would say more-but i’m in the middle of playing the pixelmon mod on minecraft.
Same applies for me with PMD Explorers of Sky. HGSS being my favourite main series game as well
1st Compilation: Ok fine, you can have Don't ever Forget and Emotion ;-;
2nd Compilation: Oh screw you for putting in N's Farewell ;_;
+1
don't forget bubbles by the sea xD
Don't you mean Mother 3's love theme? (jk jk)
The defend globe too....
National Park...
So much emotion when heard DP ending theme T^T
I am so glad that you included a few pieces from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates To Infinity, that makes me really happy because that underrated game's soundtrack doesn't get enough praise. All the pieces from it are truly beautiful. So thank you, thank you so much.
50:44 Laverre city's theme is soooo pretty. It's one of my favorites 💖💖💖
Mistery dungeoun explorers of time tracks are so inexplicably nostalgic and moving. So overwhelming yet calm
It took me a while to notice the snow falling and Kyurem and Articuno flying in the background,
I think the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series had the best music, personally. Great to see it on this list!
11:13 gets me EVERY TIME
National Park..... quite possibly the best piece of music to grace Pokemon... what is everyones favorite theme in Pokemon :)
Zinnia
Mine's Mt. Coronet. There's just somthing so atmospheric and dark about it, yet it is absolutley epic!
Professor Sycamore's theme/ most of the things with violin or glocken-notspellingtherestsinceIwouldmessitup
Cleverdinoboy is it glockenspiel you are talking about?
Pat Mats yes. Thank goodness you spelt it right.
I’ll always cherish the memories made as well as the battles fought
diamond and pearl - best pokemon game ever! with the best soundtracks!!
Bro, that's completely debatable, plenty of variables that alter people's views of a game.
My favorite Pokemon game is hey you pikachu.
JT Kim your right every other game sucks
BullWhip Griffin platinum is better
ok ok yessss
playing this in the background while i do some tera battles on a cool rainy fall evening.... ahhh life is good fellas. cheers!!
Idk if this is just a coincidence but Sinnoh music has always been the most peaceful music for me as a longtime Pokémon gamer. Or at least 4th generation PKMN games
Sympathy and Sincerity is such an incredible piece of music imo
choosing pokemon is a big part of my childhood, or at least the older versions of it are. good thing its barely changed. childhood feels overload!
Even the first time hearing aspertia city I knew I was at home... So much love for my Pokémon games
Gen four was honestly the peak for Pokémon. I’m talking from having platinum, pearl, and heart gold as a child. These songs bring such immense nostalgia that it makes me feel a new emotion. Thank you for this video.
I can't even imagine how much work is behind these soundtracks. Listening to them simply melts my heart
I struggle to find something more beautiful than the night theme for Eterna City.
I just wanna say, that volumes 1, 2, and 3 of these videos got me through college studying, when nothing else could. They helped keep me sane and these videos mean so much to me. I use them now as relaxing background music. Thank you ^_^
"escape through the snow" just brought me to tears. what an incredible song
yes
That Eterna City (Night) transition with Eterna City (Day) was perfect.
Gen 4 music is absolutely unbeaten, but Gen 5 is honestly a close second for me. Not a single bad track from either gen. This really takes me back to a simpler time that I wish I could re-live, especially with how the world is now. Listening to this music just makes everything feel okay for the moment.
When it comes to music, for me, gen 4 then 6. Gen 5 is a close contender tho.
Greetings from Madrid.
you're an amazing writer omg this comment is so well written
] y9yyy
b/w route 10 theme is probably one of the best of the entire series
THE RAIN WITH LAKE FROM DPP FITS SO WELL
OMG YOU MADE ANOTHER ONE YAAAY :D
ikr my same reaction XD
1:33:37 I just realized this song has quite references to Don't Ever Forget. Is just amazing how Pokémon has one of the best soundtracks in videogames history and how people can't realize that. Simply amazing :D
I must admit, the most amazing thing from pokemon after the amazing creatures is indeed the breathtaking music
Thank you for these videos they are absolutely beautiful and hit the right chord in every sense, they never fail to make me giddy and sad at the same time. I appreciate the work you put in for these thank you again.
sure, i miss the past. back when my young friends and i played pokemon on our dses and had fun in the underground making bases. but i also look forward to the future, when i will be able to do the same with older friends.
nostalgia, as great as it is, can let you see through rose tinted glasses. enjoy your memories of the past, but embrace those of the future as well.

braixen1264 I need that wallpaper!, is amazingly peaceful pleease!
+Khuy vega Description.
braixen1264 thank you
It's pretty sad bc i've listened to this compilation/others of yours so much that I already know what the next song in the compilation is going to sound like. (I've probably listened to this one 20 times bc pokemon is my go to choice of music). Also thank you so much for blessing me with these pokemon compilations they're honestly super relaxing (my cat approves of them too).
Shoot, even I haven't watched a video of mine more than 4 times. Thanks for the support!
(thank your cat for me too)
Love how Glaceon is in the picture and all the other ice types too!
Man, X and Y OST is so underrated. The saxophone in Coumarine is top tier
This nostalgic music makes me the happiest i could be. It just makes me absolutely love life. I almost feel guilty for feeling so blissful
Suprise, a wild Viridian Forest appeared!
Great video. If you're making more I'll put in a vote for Temporal Spire from PMD2. There is just something so soothing with its rhythm.
these are still my favorite pokemon music compilations, i've been listening to them for years. thank you so much for making them braix!
Thank you for this, it helps me work on my schoolwork while quarantined and pretty much preserved my mental health at one point
that moment ur listening to this as a lullaby to try to sleep and then lavender town comes on😭
+Siclali De Leon *suddenly wakes up and slams the skip button*
Same though
nah, i love the lavender town theme, especially the hg/ss version, is so calm, i love it
Anistar city music is also creepy, but tempting too
Dunno how people find Lavender Town's theme to be scary. I find it too calming to be so.
i’ll never get tired of this music
2019 Anyone?! Studying in college, and I still use these haha
🙋♀️🙋♀️🙋♀️
yes i listen to my own videos when i study is that a problem
braix haha nope!
We should hang on to the little things that made us so happy as children. :)
x and y already feels nostalgic
I made a Discord server! If you're a fan of my videos, make an account and join here: discord.gg/syqMx6j
Can you make a Compilation of Sinnoh music... I need it in my life ;-;
i like chur avatar~ she looks so relaxed~
braixen1264 I love the picture.
braixen1264 put route 1 of gen 1 in one of your soundtracks
Braixen do you ever use this yourself?
53:35 This will always be nostalgic for me, as I played Emerald on an emulator when I was a kid.
Me too😭🤧😥🥺😭😫😪
Just saw how this video was uploaded about 7 years ago. I can't even remember how many years I've listened this and the other Pokemon music on this channel while studying. Here's to many more years of listening to these gems of nostalgia and gaming history.
Honestly.. Anistar City has to be the 2nd best pokemon song of all time.
Me falling asleep while listening to this song will never leave my mind.
I love the art, and I love the music even more. Thanks for making these videos.
Gen 5 has the best music by far
TOS Gaming And Music thank you! Everyone beens saying gen 4 had the best ost when non of them have probably never even listened to gen 5's soundtrack
Their opinion is biast because of nostaliga reasons and first game and stuff like that
Obsidian Edge yes! Bw2 especially!
@@enigma7318 my first was gen one but I think 4 is best >:P
@@enigma7318 unlike u?
Thank you.
"Anistar City" hit me like a bullet. I listened to this soundtrack while playing X and Y countless times. Too many memories.
mystery dungeon hitted hard too :((
all of the pokemon games have great music but i gotta say the ds games music hits hard either right in the feels or just because it is good music
Bubbling over the sea ;3;
God how I love Explorers of Sky
I panicked when I saw Lavender Town on that list until I realised it was the HG/SS version!
+NovaNaut Yeah, I did too!!!
Same xD
Why do people find the original theme creepy? Is it due to all of the false creepy pastas attached to it?
The creepy pastas kind of. But I think the creepy pastas originate from the fact that the original unedited green version is beyond eerie AND the high pitched notes that alternate quickly between left and right ears while listening with headphones can cause headaches.
huh, im gonna see if i can find the unedited green version...
if you ever randomly check the comments uploader person, I just want you to know this compilation has been in the background of me doing homework/ actual work/ just hanging out for likely well over 50 hours of my life. It's just real cozy and nice and even visually it doesn't get annoying to look at and have going on one of my screens while I listen. It's just real nice. Thank you very much
Honestly Pokémon has one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard
OMG Anistar City gives me such a nostalgic Christmas feeling...
:)
really, thats what i wanted
