Yeah, the subs can be sort of all over the place for Haikyu, especially in the first season, sometimes so much that it changes the meaning of what someone's saying.
The translations really ruined that part :(

You know I just realized that as a setter, Suga is very similar to Oikawa. Unlike kageyama he doesn’t have the innate talent and needs to work harder than him, and at the same time he brings out the best of his teammates both in abilities and their spirit/mood. This took me 3 rewatches and a ridiculous amount of reactions to figure out xD
But, oikawa is oikawa
Orikawa does have talent it's just not as much as kagayama

don't sleep on Sugawara. He's not a genius, but he's an excellent setter and an excellent observer who pays attention to his teammates and knows their strengths to utilize them to the best he is able to. everyone is not a genius, however when you do the best you can and am positive it affects those around you! That and I LOVE how Asahi made the last point score so Suga will go out well! They did good. I love Suga's vibes!
When I used to watch collegiate volleyball, I think I saw a team that made it to the finals that have two really good setters. It helps a lot.

@@mikeysano3213 agreed.😔 That and I think they are joking so much, they really are missing alot. Volleyball is all about connection, therefore, in this show "side characters" matter ALOT! Its not the typical show where the main does everything and no one else really adds or matters. This show is more about volleyball, with the focus on a team and specific characters, and its connection with others. And this is from someone who LOVES and plays volleyball! I got into Haikyuu bc of my love for volleyball. I couldn't believe there was a show (and manga) about this sport- and they portrayed it so well and so accurately! They truly captured the feelings of it!!- the hype, the quickness, the connection with teammates, the feelings, EVERYTHING! Im so happy about how this show portrays volleyball! They truly do it justice!! ...with that, I wish they would watch the show with fresh eyes and not fight against Haikyuu's (and volleyball's) core of doing your best and connection with others- ex. "...We don't cheer for other teams here, don't do that..." *sigh😔, I dont know.

Momentum in volleyball is an important thing. When suga got put in notice how he hypes up all the players and see how their momentum shifted when suga got put in. Every team needs a suga which brings the team up when everyone is on their low

Here I am again, so bare with me.
I love that the spotlight is back on Suga for a while! His dynamic with the team is so great and I think especially Tsukki is very unsettled by the sudden change from the bold Kageyama to the sugar sweet suga.
I also love seeing that while Kageyama might not have completely outgrown his soloist habits just yet, his growth is definitely there and can be seen in the internal monologue he has about being put on the bench in junior high versus being put on the bench now - it’s great that he sees it as a way to improve! And the fact he admitted to himself that the reasons for him getting benched are different now just makes it better.
This episode is the reason why they keep showing shots of Suga observing and analyzing the game from the sideline before.
KAGEYAMA-SUGA SCENE
Suga was going to say "Go Win This", but instead he decided to say "Let's Go Win This" Suga's message to Kageyama is basically that Kageyama doesn't have to put it all on his shoulders, and he can rely on his teammates. Also, Suga ended up saying that because after that time in the court, he truly feels like part of the team again, after being on the bench for so long, so he's including himself in "Let's win this" or something to that effect. I think it was a translation thing, but basically Suga saying they're winning this together, rather than just Kageyama. This make more sense if you hear the japanese dialogue.
THE FEELS:
1. When Kageyama said, "Let Me feel out of breath, let me feel the stress of the court." while Suga wants to playing more and feels the same too coz they both want to keep playing on the court.
2. When Asahi won't let Suga's last set before he get subbed out be on a missed point.

A quick is a real thing in volleyball. What Sugawara did to Hinata is a normal quick that usually happens in real life. While Kageyama's quick to Hinata is a little bit not impossible but not usually seen or done.

4:05 Sugawara didn't do it. He was taking advantage of Aoba Johsai's fixation with Hinata. Oikawa stupidly announced that Tobio isn't in the game, so setting Hinata is unlikely, and they should watch the antennae for Asahi or Tanaka. So Suga opted to quick-set. Any setter can perform a quick set, it's just that Sugawara didn't essentially shoot set Hinata at the peak of his hit with his eyes closed for that fictional "freak quick" attack.
