Hi Matt. We are almost ready to open new trail going right through Shawnee, Ohio. We'll have about 20 miles of new trail for you by next year if you do the whole Buckeye Trail!
As a parent of 4 kids, I can recognise which one I can hear walking, without seeing them. Funny now that I've watched so many of your trips, I can recognise the sound of your footsteps, the rhythm.
Very nice one ! Great views , wild- and stocklife , food and ..... video of the Mississipi ! Ah memmories... Concerning Utah , when i look on my map the distance between ressuply towns is HUGE . As you said : it will be fun . Keep it on !
The food carry’s will be long but there are towns and such out there. Post Moab it’s needles outpost and then Hanksville which is a cdt style 26 mile hitch.
Thought of you yesterday while I was bagging what to you would be a minor peak, since it was only 2,800 feet in elevation. Not bad for eastern NY though and a county highpoint. Anyway, right next to the hiker's lot there was an open area behind some trees and a tent set up in the middle of the day. I thought well Matt would never dream of setting up here. Some of what you showed today looked a bit familiar as I visited Grand Junction for a couple days about ten years ago. It didn't strike me as a garden spot. Looks like you are heading through the Colorado National Monument. I thought that place was pretty cool.
I share your love of Mexican food. We don't dine out much since moving into an adult living community but when we do, it's most often at a Mexican restaurant. Muchas gracias. amigo.
They work well for me. I’ve never noticed a difference from zero drop vs anything else. The new balance hold up a lot better as far as the outer material though I still only get 300 some miles out of them before the foam on the bottom has collapsed and I’m feeling every rock
The 80s sounds like a nice break from the slippery squish of the last couple days. I love Mexican Food and have a special place in my heart for good chorizo.
Totally off-topic (since I have not had enough trailtown time to watch): What are you going to do on October 25 when new season of Lower Decks comes out? Download and watch on trail? Or do you have to stop hiking first so you can watch with Jen?😂
Blows my mind how quickly the temperature and terrain changed. I like the pic of Jen on the Mississippi in the background 😎✌
The Mississippi highlight reel videos are my favorite thing I’ve ever produced and I like to watch them and remember the happy times

Congradulations on getting across Colorado, lots of ups and downs along the way.

@@FirstChurchofTheMasochistHikes Thought it would be Beaver or Milford .😄
I rode through Grand Junction on a train once. It's a good deal more urban than I remember

Your mention of shoes reminded me to ask how the New Balance shoes are wearing compared to the Altras?

Day 164. Another late night watch. Quick changing scenery…love Grand Mesa but the desert has its appeal as well.
Great video be well
Wait! How'd the bathroom visit go🙃😄
Feels like if it had been eventful we might have heard about it. [emoji thing]
@@DrDavidThor lol!! Probably :)

We have things categorized as watch together / watch apart so sadly I will have to wait on that one as she really likes the show also.
@@FirstChurchofTheMasochistHikes We do the same! 😅
Were those football helmets on those fence posts?
Yep. Not sure what the deal was but I kept thinking how very heart of darkness
@@FirstChurchofTheMasochistHikes at first I thought they were skeleton heads!!

Welcome to the grand junkyard!
What phone case do you use?
I use a minimal ish one from Oberon Designs. Leather back, grippy rubber sides

Here's a Dave joke for the occasion:
You say you're such an experienced stealth camper. Then how come we've never seen you do it?
It is weird how tent camping in wilderness full of wild animals is safer than tent camping in a city.
Somali pirate screen saver!
Down hill from here man. It's almost over with
Lol..not fishing..probably Tweakers....thanks
