Ever since we arrived in Malaysia, we had Kundasang, Sabah as one of the main bucket list places we wanted to visit. Known as one of the most beautiful places in all Malaysia, we wanted to see it for ourselves to witness the magical beauty of Kundasang.
We stayed at a hidden gem called "The Cloud Kinabalu" for 2 nights and had the most amazing experience and the sunrise every morning was the highlight of the stay. If you wake up early enough, you get an incredible views of Mount Kinabalu and stunning 360 degree views of the area of Kundasang.

This is why i applaud foreign utubers here. They showed/revealed us things that we always take for granted, underappreciated and underrated especially for us Malaysian who havent explore there yet instead grinding to went overseas for the sake of fame, luxury and sort. I mean it depends on individual but why not, be patriotic and start with our homeland first, no regret.

That dome comes with a million dollars view, breathtaking n mesmerizing, stunning. D pine trees r absolutely wonderful. Beautiful skies n rainbow in day time, lovely rain in night time, now, what else could be better than that.

Kundasang reminds me of either Mammoth or Yosemite. Even the weather is cool, I googled it. 61 F . Great find in Malaysia. It also looks like you guys have the entire place to yourselves

you maybe wake up early around 6am to see mount Kinabalu. if after 7-8am, the cloud already cover the mount view

One of the best views of Mt kinabalu in kundasang is from Crystal Hill R. I didn't stay there but went up there for the breath taking view.
Maybe we'll get the chance to check it out next time we're back in Kundasang 😉

I live about 2 hrs-drive from Kundasang back home in Sabah, Malaysia and been to and driven past by it countless of times before but never knew about this spot. just a question?which do you prefer?glamping on the montain or glamping on the side of the river instead of the tent?the sound that the river creates is something else.so relaxing and conforting.
We think the river, like you say the noise of the flowing water is just super relaxing for us! But for sure both were great spots 😁

@@sunkissedbucketlist but the truth is the roads are not so good. Hopefully the budget allocation is approved for proper maintenance.
So are you going to.live there in the future? From sabah you can fly to vietnam or philippines or singapore or kl but yet can enjoy 140m years of rain forest. Kundasang is not hot. Cool weather.

Thank you! Evenings were kind of rainy so we mostly stayed in but of course it was slightly cooler once the sun went down but not cold. It was mostly 28-30° in daytime if we're correct 😊

@@sunkissedbucketlist sure. Sabah or north borneo is well known for the islands, rivers, mountains, fish spa(moroli), and believe it or not canyoneering. Of course kawasan falls is more well known. Yes sabah has canyoneering and white water rafting.
Canyoneering place is called taralamas canyon.

This is one of those place, you check the weather forecast ahead for some afternoon rain, then hope the rainbow appears, and you go down on your knees and ask her to marry you. If you get rejected from all the planning and that rainbow, you head back to Penang and stuff yourself with Nasi Kandar or Langkawi with cheap booze.

Why u guys didn't climb d Mount Kinabalu...ur visit to Sabah wouldn't be complete without climbing d Mount Kinabalu....it's look interesting on ur first impression on d peak of d mountain....
It is very expensive to go up mount kinabalu. Even for locals. For foreigners it is more than 400usd per person minimum. So backpackers on a budget is tough.
When climbing the mountain you have to book your spot and those spots are booked up months in advance so we weren't able to do so 😊
@@sunkissedbucketlist yes the lodge up there has limited accommodation. Porters too need to carry stuff like at mount everest.

You guys made it to the exact same spot as JETLAG WARRIORS weeks ago in the glamping Kundasang camp...they didn't climb all the way though ...now they left Malaysia to Indonesia

@@sunkissedbucketlist yeah jetlag warriors are in jogjakarta. Steve and ivana both canadians. But ivana is from jakarta originally. They were there as well few weeks ago. Same spot. They tried to climb mount kinabalu but had to give up at the base camp cause it was raining when going up, they did not bring any dry clothes to change at the highest base camp. It was wet and cold to reach the peak, they decided not to risk it.

Bring extra dry clothings when hiking mount kinabalu and rain coat as well. We must not assume weather is fantastic up there.
Also perhaps train by jogging daily to improve leg muscles.
