I bought an '05 with 38k miles in 2009 with ~11k cash. I still drive it. I think it has 145k miles or so. No major issues. A couple recalls, notably the key fob one.
I had one. By 70,000 miles it cost almost $10,000.00 in repairs. Steering racks, ABS/Traction Control Module replacement, wheel hubs, intake gaskets, water pumps, head gaskets, and transmission replacements. All of this even with regular oil changes every 4000 miles, and transmission fluid changes every 25,000 miles. Coolant was changed every 30,000 miles. Still had problems. Was the worst Chevy I ever owned. I have had seven Chevy's. The front end subframe developed cracks at the welds due to faulty welds at the factory. They broke, and the engine and transmission were sliding around in the engine compartment when I was turning the car to the left. The dealer said I was lucky the motor was still in the car. GM fixed the subframe free of charge after the warranty expired. They found a silent recall for the subframe welds in their system. There was never a formal recall issued.
A nasty V-6. It likes intake gaskets. If it slightly overheats you are screwed. When that happens the entire top end of the engine has to come apart, and new gaskets installed. Do not use an after market OEM quality water pump on this engine. They do not last, and cause the engine to overheat. My mechanic only recommends a genuine GM waterpump purchased at the dealer. These are also known to have transmission problems, and the rack and pinion steering gear only lasts for three years. The rack and pinion is known to leak on all these cars. I had one, and never again.
