And if I'm not mistaken it can operate only on one train. The park has another train but that's only to reduce the downtime as it's supposed to be open close to all year around.
It was awesome meeting you and Sarah at Fury on Saturday! Hope to see you at Carowinds again soon. Hope it wasn’t weird that I only had one quick queue to give Sarah for her birthday and not enough for your group.
Best theme park series of all time! I wake up each morning hoping you will post a new vlog. August is your best guest ever; he is insightful, respectful and very sweet. Thank you for the amazing content!
This is actually my homepark and whilst I hear second handedly it can sometimes get crowded, I never experienced it myself. Somehow I always pick a Sunday on which it's 30+°C outside (= hot!) and literally nobody's there! Best to do on a hot day is to stand in expedition zork's splash zone or go under the waterfall of djengu river, make sure to get completely soaked, and then ride Fenix. The warm wind it generates makes the water evaporate, which cools you down big time!
Probably because the main audience of Toverland is kids. I could imagine that going to a theme park with a group of kids is very ethausting for the parents, espacially when Its hot in the netherlands haha.
It's my home park too and the last three times that I have been it's was empty. Everything except Boosterbike (which had a 30 minute line) was a near walkthrough. So I marathoned Fēnix like 9 or 10 times and had a great time!
7:30 they retrack a part of troy every year. Its was this rough because of the heat. The wheels are like standing at a 10 degrees angel on the track because of the tempertures. its an older GCI and its not the smoothest but its also far away from unbarable imo.
These are all SO well done! The fact that on a lot of occasions I decide to watch one of these instead a TV show that costed loads more money to make says a lot. I love how before you leave a country at the end you have a small montage and thank the country. Such a great touch!
A park i have never been too but looking forward to visiting for the first time in early November. This park has grown so much from when i first heard of it. Looks amazing for families
Went to six flags fiesta Texas when it was 114 degrees over the summer and omg, you wanna ride the coasters wind but the wind is like looking over a boiling pot.
I love this park. I went to this for the first time during may break this year. Luckily the park was extremely empty because it was cloudy and a little bit of rain. I loved Fēnix so much that I went on it 8 times in a row and once I then decided that it was enough I could feel my feet constantly tickeling due to the amount of blood that was in them. But generally the theming of this park is so well done. Especially the new are they just added. I havent been there in person yet but I have seen it during construction and its so awesome how they added a Sky fly in the Helix of Fēnix its so awesome.
I've ridden Troy this fall and I didn't mind the roughness actually thought it was the perfect amount, just what I want from a wooden coaster, proper shaking but not painful in any way. My second favourite woodie after Colossos.
Kinda same. Yeah its rough but thats kinda the fun of it. The fact that it feels so raw makes it unique (aside from being out of wood) and i feel like tsking that away kinda takes away some of what makes it special. Well maybe i'm just a bit too hardened off when it comes to wooden coasters since my home park is movie park in germany and their wooden coaster is... really painful. Like if Troy was rocky, Movie parks wooden coaster would be straight up norwegian black metal from the 80's and 90's. The first time i rode it, i'm 99% convinced the car i was in actually broke because it made such weird sounds and the ride was closed for the day after i got off. I really felt like it was just a disguised torture device. Troy is butter smooth in comparision
My homepark! Saw Boosterbike valley during a test run with ride ops on my last visit last Sunday, right when I was explaining the concept of valleying to my uncle. The timing made it hilarious
Theres a good picture showing their expansion plans. In my opinion, seen the location of Toverland and the people running it. I can totally see this having surpassed Efteling in 15 years competing with Europa Park
Off-Topic: That actually reminded me that you also can get pieces of the old Colossos track in Heide-Park. Why didn't you visit Heide Park? On Topic: Toverland is such a lovely place. Hope they build a couple more coasters after the new flat rides that are coming. We had like 25 cars parked there when we went last September .. so we literally tried every seat on Fenix.
We actually visit themeparks on hot days on purpose. It's delightfully quiet on those days, and even though it's handy to keep a bottle of deodorant in your bag we always have great days. Last week I was in Toverland as well and had almost the same experience. Fenix, Troy and Dwervelwind were walk-ons all through the day and we've never been in line for more than 15 minutes. Mind you, that was absolute high-season in the middle of school holidays. We had the same experiences at Efteling (although a bit more crowded) and Movie Park Germany. Completely agree on Troy, I remember it as being smooth 10 years ago but jeez, I was thrown around a lot. Not much fun. Retrack or RMC it please.
Honestly the roughness on Troy adds to the ride for me. I was there in the fall on a pretty warm day and it was running like hell. The roughness doesn’t hurt me at all, it just shakes me a lot, which I don’t mind. It just makes it more intense
loved the vlog, love toverland. and they are doing a big expension to avalon with a skyfly in the helix of fenix and 3 more rides, looks awesome on the concept art on there website. did you guys know about that?
Very good family park. The Wing Coaster (fenix) is my favorite coaster ever. First wing coaster i ever did. Dwervelwind is a good spinning coaster.... Didn't like Troy & Booster Bikes.
Fun fact about Toverland. When I joined 30 min of the Troy 24 hour challenge in pitch dark 03:00 am. I was screaming shut down the trim brakes. An employee responded to me well, if you look good you wont see any trim brakes. Long story short: Toverland doesnt have any noticeable trim brakes. Pretty cool 😎
Darn it, I am spent with a one day park visit + a long drive. They visit every park EU... I would like to do it however i hate the long drives. I wonder how much money you guys spend for food/hotel/fuel
Booster Bike is the prototype even(and it always has 1 train, can't opperate with 2) First time i was there booster Bike was t back of the park. Troy was under construction (and fell over becouse of strong winds, not even joking) The swinging ship was not there.
Troy has been running like an absolute demon this year. It's as intense as ever but certainly not smooth! Still, it's no way the worst wooden coaster in a 50 mile radius...
I think wing coasters are the most aesthetically pleasing of any coaster, but Fenix is especially pleasing to look at it. The inversions over the river look amazing 🥹
How long to Wiener Prater that's the one I am most intrigued in your opinion for as I have been there myself and I believe that it has the best Flat Ride Collection and is one of the best parks in Europe.
@@CoasterStudios ah yeah, that's makes sense. I'll never get to go to these parks so I like to live vicariously through walk throughs lol. But at least I have 'coastin through europe' and those are amazing. Thanks for all the hard work.
3:30 Boosterbike actually was THE prototype of the motorbike coaster. The Vekoma Factory is only a couple of kilometers away
Everything is just a few kilometers away in the Netherlands 😅
@@HansTheGeek and somehow, 50% of the people in the Netherlands think that Groningen is on the other side of our planet 🤦🏼♂️

@@_bigblind In Belgium everything is just around the corner. 🤭
I need you to start another trip so that these videos never end...
I think they are doing a small Scandinavian trip pretty soon. Or some small trip over seas, and it's 4 parks they're visiting

Troy is getting a re-track of sections every year so some sections run smoother then others, but it is getting sections re-tracked every winter.
Yeah, one of the best maintained wooden coasters in the world. it's just because the hot weather.
Should it get titan track added at some point to smooth it out
@@joecandish3923 No. It was just extremely hot last summer.
@@DJWezzyK I see still an excellent woodie in fact its my second favourite woodie just behind El toro
