I doubt there's ever been a musician like B. Like Les Claypool said, Buckets rythym pocket is the deepest he's ever seen. Meaning it never ends. Its why Bucket can put out a new 30-45 mins album every week or two and still NEVER make the same song twice. Even by accident. He literally has a neverending supply of harmonies and melodies in his head that he's actually able to get out through his guitars. The likes of which no one has ever seen nor heard. I mean, the guy is a literal music making machine. That also goes to show just how much B loves music and how much he loves creating music for the sake of making great music. There is not, there's never been, and there won't ever be anyone like him. Ever.
For all the focus placed on his lead play, for me his rhythm playing is even more astonishing. That's not to dismiss his phenomenal lead work, but most of what he does can be done by others(though maybe not for 30 minutes straight!), and there are others who can do things he can't, or doesn't. But I honestly don't know any guitarist with anything approaching his level of rhythm guitar, in either quality or variety.
@@VenLon for real! I’ve recently had a similar realization! Just for example listening to Florrmat so often and other pikes where he plays little or no lead work. He’s seriously a Rythym machine it’s some seriously amazing stuff!
A talent like Brain Patrick Carroll only comes ago every 50 years or maybe longer! He has a signature note that is reconized with only a few legends in our life time. His libary of work is extraordniary and he is not through by a long shot!God has truely blessed this Buckethead!
A talent of our life time... Classical Composers can't touch his Sh!t.... we are truly blessed to be within ear distance of the Mosart of our time... just remember when you first heard his songs... 500 years from now
FOR FUCK SAKE!!!!!! this is WORLD CLASS MUSIC, BUCKETHEAD music that is WAY, WAY, WAY BETTER THAN ANYTHING ELSE in the MUSIC INDUSTRY or the HISTORY OF MUSIC
There used to be a bar with a stage here called "Circle in the Square" back in the 1980s. That bar/club played a HUGE part in the history of Pantera...Dime, Vinny, Rex, & Phil. At the time, Phil wasn't part of the band. Terry was still singing. The thing was....every time they came here to play a show, which was often since we're 2 hours from their hometown, their friends here would tell them about this guy named Phil that sang for Razor White and that they needed him in Pantera. Eventually, they finally gave in and agreed to meet up with Phil after a show at Circle in the Square. The rest, as they say, is history. Phil & Dime hit it off instantly and Phil joined the band that night, here in Shreveport, LA. A week later, they played their first show together, at Circle in the Square with the historic lineup we all came to know and love with Phil out front.
Pantera Shreveport LA? You’re on wrong comments. I haven’t listened to pantera since after vulgar display released 92. Favorite guitar tone in 1992 - 1993 fin.
I was just thinking the same thing... I feel sick and my roommate wont stop blasting shitty rap. Had to put headphones in and lay down. I feel instantly better.
Oh. That's so sad. I saw him live recently and it was phenomenal as usual. I knew he'd had a chronic pain condition that interfered with his playing for a while. Get well soon, Brian.
he will not get well, it is a chronic condition. May his heart be arrhytmic but he will someday leave us with our hearts broken I just hope he can live his live happily with his beloved ones and making music, the thing that he enjoys the most. WE ALL LOVE YOU BUCKY WE TRULY LOVE YOU
woaaah! im usually listening to his soft and smooth stuff, listening to Scalp Assail just beat the shit outa the slow morning! god knows how many things that song changes into every 20secs, insanely put together though!
Simply one of the great guitarists he should have been around in the early 70s when it was all about the guitar my era he would have a much larger following you young people don't realize what you have here
Oh, I know some young people who adore the old music: Hendrix, Deep Purple, Yes, Rush and more. I think you are doing them wrong limiting their interest to Justin Bieber or Britney Spears.
Have U no idea this may b the only guitar player ...............ever better then JIMI........BUCKETHEAD OS THE BEST OF AAALLLLLLL GENRES CAUSE HE COVERS. DEM ALL...... IF U DONT GET IT BY NOW U AIN'T BEEN FUCKIN LISTENING THIS CAT IS DA MF SHIT ........PERIOD END OF CONVERSATION......PEACE .......JOHNNY2BRAIDS 2-11-2019... C. U. N. HEAVEN.......OR ...HELLL!!
That whole composition is the baddest of the bad. Thie Squaring IMO ranks up there with the Triptych and ths leads on Pike 65. In any case Bucket is an amazing musician and one filthy lead guitarist.
this is BUCKETHEAD THE MASTER GUITARIST he is NOT a beginner so he DOESNT NEED ANY GUITAR TEACHERS giving him advice on how he should be playing the guitar and how he should be doing things and question the thing he did that you thought he didn’t do right he’s BUCKETHEAD, NOT someone learning the guitar for the first time, HES FUCKING BUCKETHEAD THE MASTER OF THE INSTRUMENT, ok, he used to have a guitar teacher (Paul Gilbert) but he DOES NOT, I REPEAT, DOES NOT NEED or WANT ANY NOW, so stop trying to be a GUITAR TEACHER to him, he’s doing COMPLETELY FINE WITHOUT ONE so PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE LEAVE HIM ALONE TO DO WHAT THE FUCK HE LIKES WITH HIS MUSIC

He has bad heart arrhythmia and it can potentially cause him to have a stroke. He has done an interview about it.
Oh. That's so sad. I saw him live recently and it was phenomenal as usual. I knew he'd had a chronic pain condition that interfered with his playing for a while. Get well soon, Brian.

You are absolutely correct!!
I wish I lived in the seventies.

Yeah, totally. That's two of my favorite things ever. I think there's some chemistry here.
