    DUDE!! This father/daughter day brought back so many memories of me and my daughters of 30 years ago, that you got me cryng like a baby. Why? because they grew up and I will never have that moment again except in my memories. (sniff...sniff)

    • @MikeKincaid79
      @MikeKincaid79  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Sorry to stir up emotions. Sounds like they are all good memories. The older my kids get, the more I think about what you're saying and how these moments I'm spending with them now will only be memories someday. Time is fleeting. I will do my best to honor all the dads who've come before me and spend every second I can with my girls.

      It's funny how we value places far from us and make plans to go see them, but we forget about the places right in our own backyard. Glad to re-open your eyes to it. I know the feeling though. I live right at the base of Mt. Rainier and haven't been to it in a few years. I'm also within a couple hour drive of the Hoh rainforest, the largest temperate rainforests in the U.S. People come from all over the world to see these places and I just walk right by them, lol.

    Beautiful gardens ,so glad you were able to go & great to get to see a botanical garden I haven’t been to. If you get a chance & get to the East Coast the Washington D.C. arboretum & many huge botanical garden in the Philadelphia area are amazing. I admire both Benjamin Franklin & Thomas Jefferson for collecting plants and seeds all over in their Europe & US travels to bring back specimens to American gardens and establish our gardens in the Philly & DC areas especially as a cool international mixture. There is also a very interesting garden belonging originally to a man who collected trees & I can’t remember ever seeing a larger collection.

    You would not like the grackles if you had them in your yard They take over on the small birds ,they eat all the bird seed till there isn't a seed left and a fun fact is they lay their eggs in another birds nest like a robin or sparrow so those birds can feed their babies Not saying they don't have a few nests of their own If you ever saw Alfred Hitchcock movie The Birds you can then visulze how they can flock together and takeover one area . Anyway thanks for the tour ,the koi were pretty cool I guess if you were a few weeks earlier the all azaleas may have been blooming That would have been a beautiful sight to see I think Allie is interested in horticulture as well Any ideas as what her future career may be? Well I cant wait to watch another episode of The Kincaid Building Project Thanks for the great tour ,it was a pleasure walking with you two🌺🌳. 🇨🇦🦩

    • @MikeKincaid79
      @MikeKincaid79  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sure the grackles could be a little overwhelming at times, lol. It was fun to hear their sounds for a few days. Ally loves spending time with Dad. The two of us are attached at the hip most of the time and I have a feeling she'd go and do whatever I wanted to do. She is very intelligent and academically driven, so I talk to her a lot about college. She says she wants to go to college to be a vet or a doctor, or maybe the CEO of a company. All I can say is she's a bossy little thing and is determined to get what she wants, hahaha. Watch out world! We'll see how it all turns out but whatever she does, I'm sure she'll be successful at it. I'll be working on the first part of the framing video soon!

    • @lizl6606
      @lizl6606 ปีที่แล้ว

      If she becomes a vet you could get a load more of animals to your hobby farm and they'd all be taken care of. 😁💫 Thanks for the info I'm always interested in how people manage their life and the road they take I wish I could help all the people that need a hand up but unfortunately I haven't won the lottery yet 🤑💰. 🇨🇦🦩
