  • A FEW WEEKS AGO I HAD A FRONT STEER TIRE ON THE LITTLE DODGE START LOOSING AIR. I PULLED THE TIRE OFF AND FOUND A DRYWALL SCREW. I REMOVED IT AND PLUGGED IT. TODAY I STARTING GETTING THIS VIOLENT SHAKE IN THE WHEEL. I FOUND A BAD TIRE. I HAD 2 MATCHING BRANDS AND MODEL OF TIRE ON TWO ALUMINUM FORD WHEELS (DIFFERENT BOLT PATTERNS). THE DODGE HAS LT235/80R17 AND MY TIRES ARE LT245/75R17. THEY ARE ABOUT 3/10" DIFFERENT IN HEIGHT....NOT A PROBLEM. THEY ARE ALSO WIDER. THIS TRUCK IS A 2 WHEEL DRIVE AND I WILL KEEP THEM ON THE FRONT ONLY. AFTER MAKING THIS VIDEO I CALLED THE LOCAL TIRE SHOP AND THEY WANTED $12. EACH TO DISMOUNT AND MOUNT, $8. EACH JUST TO DISMOUNT AND $6. EACH TO BALANCE. THAT IS A SAVINGS OF $44.00 IN ABOUT 35 MINUTES OF WORK.

I am a 70-year-old man that has busted my ass all my life and have self-taught myself many different trades. I admire you and your wife and am envious of your ability. Thanks for your honesty, you are a person with the talent we all wish we had. Also, what is your wife's name?

Good job. My 3500 chevy dual has 16inches tire. I gave up tonight trying to mount a bud wheel. Ty for posting. I going to try your technique tomorrow

The ones making comments like the Silver spoon are ones who don’t know how to do shit, probably can’t even put gas in their cars. Keep up the great work J.C. It’s people like you who keep this world moving! 👍

Don't even give a second thought about any of these insecure negative people that are trying to feel better about themselves by putting you down - I think 99.9 % of your viewers think of you as a Good Man !

Its obvious from the way he talks, Mr Smith came up the hard way. you can tell by his enthusiasm for what ever particular job he is doing at any one time. great attention for the smallest detail. makes for great films for the rest of us to watch !

Some people get a perverse thrill out of saying things that are degrading just to get a rise out of people. They are known as jerks. To hell with 'em!

I can relate to what you say. I grew up very poor myself. I’ve struggled most of my life. Today I’m in very good financial condition. I have no debt including my home. I’ve never made a car payment either. I learned how to make things happen when I needed to. I learned HVAC and went into business for myself 10 years ago. I could pay someone to do things but that “poor” part of me won’t allow it. The struggle is what makes us strong.

could have went oldschool and stuck 3 golfballs in the tires. Airsoft bb's and even really fine sand will work just like balancing compound. Use the charts to get the correct weight for the tire size. We use shag carpet at work to keep the faces nice.

We used to have a slide hammer bead breaker. Had a heavy bar inside a pipe with a spoon on the end. Worked great but it would kick your ass if you used it all day. Worked great on split rims.

It's an interesting conclusion they came up with "this guy is buying 10+ year old junk and fixing it, must have inherited money"

Only silver spoon I see is when the tire spoon slips when your tired, and hits you in the mouth. Amazing how people hate on hard working people!

JC, even if you were born into money the fact that you're willing and able to do the work that you do only proves that you've earned it. People used to say the same about me, yet I never received a dime I didn't make on my own and I work 16+ hour days. So they automatically assume everything I have was given to me because they don't have sh!t. I bought my first truck for $2500 and ran it on my days off with the permission from my old boss because he knew I wouldn't take his work and it was the only way he could keep me around. Plus I didn't steal and pocket money like a lot of guys so he was cool with it and things grew from there. I'm glad I stayed on too because in turn I bought the company from him so he could retire and that is where people think I came into money. But the reality is he gets a BIG payment every month from me because he financed the deal.
