This is such a charming video! I kept cracking up, the energy was clearly just THERE while this was being recorded. And I always like seeing Pokétubers raising each other up, plus I'm a big fan of Bird Keeper Toby's channel, so this was sweet to see.

I actually really liked this Region Review a lot more than the old ones. With the old reviews it was very simple and more like a reaction than a review, so I didn't really like watching them, but here you went into more depth and gave each mon the time and constructive critique it needed. This is exactly what I'd expect from a Region Review and I hope that if you do any more they're as thorough this one.
For someone who doesnt draw themselves, I think youre really good at seeing what design elements are successful and which ones arent. Reminds me of my art teacher.

I think that middle stage starter Pokémon keep getting better and better. Paldea’s middle starters all have unique personalities and designs from the rest of the line with quacwell being a ballerina,floragato havjng a yo-yo, and crocalor with the egg and sombrero.
17:43 no you were right it's vigoroth, the tempest dex there is a lot of typos like this one and another were one of the primordials having a wrong type when toby showed the dex entry.

I think I might have the same ideas as you in my Ireland based region i accidentally made 2 out of the three starter lines the same type as the final evos in the cornera region and one is also the same animal being a deer there are some more simular mons but just a funny coincidence i didn't even know about your channel when i designed them

My own personal critique is the difference in art style when it comes to Pokémon we see earlier in the Pokedex versus the ones we see later on. I don't know 😭 it's hard to explain? Some look wonky as if someone has just started designing Pokémon while others look like they came from someone who has experience making them. (the regional Togepi line looks like someone just edited the official art instead of actually drawing them 🤐 which could be why the grassy bits on Togekiss aren't really your thing) I get that this is a fan project! So you get more freedom because of that but certain designs (like Hypmothic) are too busy/over complicated. I'm really sorry if any of this seems mean! No hate towards the artists because they all did a good job. Even if I'm not a fan of some Pokémon here. 😅
Since I haven't seen a comment on it, Gululabi is based on a type of goat (Damascus Goats) that have long curly ears! They are extremely cute when they are young, but when they reach adulthood they become incredible old and frazzled looking, which is likely what is referred to through the evolution.
This question may have been answered, but Keoke Keoke is based on the maned wolf. Which is neither fox or wolf but fits this perfectly. The legs are long due to it walking over the tall grasses where it lives. It is from different areas of South America!
Am i the only one thinking that a fighting type would be hella busted in this Region? So many fighting weaknesses haha. But overall very cool and creative designs. Love it.

And I really liked it a lot. I really like yours a lot as well. Also, I do remember the Power Ranger movie. In fact, I’ve been a Power Ranger fan since it first aired on TV the classic Power Rangers and I’m 38 years old in 2023.
Yeah, I'm showing my age too. Those things were like suits of armor the rangers had to fight to get their powers back or whatever 90's bs they were on LOL. But to comment on the druidigoyle, it looks like a statue come to life, powered by draconic energy or something. It definitely has a slight uncanny feel to it, as uncanny as a pokemon can be I guess

So I wonder what mega evolution would be like if it was more tainted by the pokemon's emotions like it's more controlled with the trainer to mega evolve but what if the mega evolution was tainted by hatred or some sort of darkness in the pokemon
Whats a good program to use to start designing my own pokemon? I assume most people use photoshop but i was hoping to find a software that isnt expensive or maybe even free. Any ideas would help I really want to get into it on my free time
