I am an actor and content creator with Hollywood credits including roles on Lucifer (Netflix), Starlight Christmas (Hallmark), JT Leroy (Universal Studios), etc. In this channel, I offer insight to Kpop performances using my 10+ years of training in dance, acting, singing and overall performance. In dance, my forte are contemporary and musicals and have done most of my performances in theatre. Although my channel is mostly known for dance analysis, I am currently inactive in the dance community.

I'm really agree with your opinion on J-Hope's flexibility.. I've seen a lot of his dance from a long time ago.. I'm always impressed.. He is really born to dance! Btw I really love this dance from 3J.. It has been a long time since we got something from them ^^
Hobi is like a spaghetti man, lol. His bounciness and fluidity is crazy. He is flexible but insanely controlled too.
Jimin´s always defined by his elegance through contemporary schooling.
Jungkook just transforms depending on what he needs to express and what style of dancing is expected from him - in here, super sharp, angular, crisp clean and powerful.

@@baddecember491 I did not see it as a compliment either because Jimin also showed his flexibility and his high knowledge of hiphop and poppin here and also has precise and powerful movements that is all in one.
@@sel483 well you have your own opinion and pov but nobody said that jimin doesn't any have knowledge and skills about hip-hop because it's obvious he is versatile dancer, as I've said jimin's background about contemporary dance was dominant when he is dancing.
We all know when Jungkook touch the choreo it becomes him his self , his style of dancing alway grab my attention, simple moves he make it always different level, his craft always the highlight for me.
I totally appreciate you highlighting and giving spotlight to J-Hope. His attention to detail in his dance is so technical yet very natural. He is definitely in his element with this choreography. 💜

I take it's just not as noticeable for non-dancers because he makes it look SO easy and effortless, but time and time again I find myself blown away by his absolutely flawless control over his body. I'm out here taking notes and watching in slo-mo just to attempt to decipher what he's doing 😂😭. I wish he got more recognition for his talent in dancing, he's absolutely insane! 🔥🔥

This was j-hope's idea! I love it.
Jimin's dance is a mix of Hobi and JK. Smooth and clean with a touch of his own style-sexy and oozing with appeal and magnetic. Your eyes will get easily dragged until the end when you start looking at him. He looks charismatic when he dances and he shows elegance and grace in every choreo point. He appears like he is telling a narrative when he dances. Jimin does not dance by the book, he listens to his body and on the message he wants to deliver. What a delicate performance he always has.
HOSEOK's body control is insane?! You don't need to be an expert to see that he is an exceptional dancer. The way he makes the moves look effortless when in fact it is very hard to execute blows my mind! Hoseok in his element hits differently 😎
JHope practices his flexibility constantly to this day. If he wants to keep it like that he has to. Just like an athlete training everyday or a vocalist keeping their vocal cords stretched vocalizing everyday.
I love how each of them have their own unique style. When they perform, you have the chance to see what each of them bring to the table along with their attractive visuals.

Jimin is so clean, sharp, smooth, and precise. Just has sm control over his body. There’s really no style of dance he’s not gonna devour! Hobi is swaggy, smooth, and has no bones. Jungkook powerful and smooth. All their expressions on point. 3J KILLED IT!!🔥

He can just go from contemporary to hip-hop is insane to me. Cuz that ain’t easy to do. FYI I’m Hopekookmin biased no one and nothing will change that. Just bc someone praises one certain member doesn’t mean they are a solo stan. Solos, antis, haters all disgust me. U assuming I was a solo stan just bc I praised Jimin naw wtf. I appreciate your comments as always. 3J completely ROCKED this! I'm glad that this remix brought them back after so long. Although I do agree that yes, at first viewing, it may seem like this mostly suits jhope and jungkook style of dancing, but let's not forget that Jimin trained in popping and isolation hip hop as well as contemporary. I think many tend to forget that fact and only focus on his contemporary expertise, so he rarely gets recognition for those others skills. ARMY know Jimin is also famously known for his expert popping and isolation, which we saw in this performance...neck movements, hips swivels, etc. First viewing had me focusing on jhope and jungkook, I just couldn't take my eyes off of them...jk and his playfulness throughout the choreo reeled me in, while jhope's flexibility and flow got me hooked. But after the second viewing, I focused on jimin and how smooth he makes each isolation movement look...like butter haha. Maybe because he's too smooth that it gets overlooked more often? Idk, but I just hope we could get to a place one day where jimin gets a bit more recognition for those skills as well, which are difficult to master, and not just pigeonhole him as contemporary only.

I knew how clean and dope looking of Jungkook's center pose but I did not know why I felt or why it looked so cool until you have explained it. I enjoyed your reaction! Jungkook dances with so much power and swag, my eyes are drawn to him all the time. He makes me feel the vibe of the song just by looking at his facial expressions. He is so underrated as a dancer. Jhope is a showman not only with dancing but singing. I love his groove when dancing & I enjoy both his rap and vocals.

@@MorePara8 J Hope's dancing is very agile and extremely subtle . While others do extremely clean and crisp which is why quite noticeable unlike Hope's which is subtle and effortless.And since he doesn't take the centre stage it becomes easy to miss much of it.

I love the way jimin is easily the most versatile dancer, and I also hate it when people put him in the 'contemporary' box. Before he even started doing this style, jimin had already learned and perfected hip-hop and popping. He is a very complete dancer. 3j killed it. They popped off🔥🔥 been waiting for a 3j comeback(:
Jimin didn't learn and perfect hip hop before joining. He did it for a short time before joining the academy. And we need to stop spreading this narrative. He's an excellent dancer but he's said repeatedly that he struggled before debut because it was a style that he wasn't used to. It's the main reason why he almost didn't debut. He had prior experience in it but he wasn't an expert.

@@karlafrancis8471 Thank you! Jimin himself even said these were his weak points. Now that doesn't mean he didn't do good and he certainly has improved, free style was very hard for him too.
I know people keep spreading this misinformation about him winning all these hip hop competitions, he won a competition against other classmates in his class at that time. You're absolutely right in that he didn't perfect those styles like so many others seem to think.
I think some people think that you or me or anyone stating this somehow diminishes Jimin's talent, but those people would wrong. Jimin IS crazy talented in dance, and he is quite versatile and he's gotten even better over the years, but Modern dance is what he trained in the longest, that's his specialty. It doesn't mean he can't do other styles because he does and he does them very well.
But these Jimin solo stans need to stop staying things like "He was experienced in Hip Hop, and Pop and lock before he joined BTS." and "He won so many competitions for hip hop dance." Because those are not true facts. And as you said, if he was as experienced as these stans say- He would have been Dance leader from the start and not Hoseok.
I do want to stress again that none of this means Jimin is less than an amazing and crazy talented dancer. Everyone starts somewhere and not everyone is an expert at everything.
@@karlafrancis8471 Jimin started from learning Hip hop as an after school activity but in junior high school, he joined Just Dance Academy and learned popping-locking and hip-hop style. In 2017, the cademy shared a video of Jimin's first stage in 2007 when he was 12 years old.

I think you explained it so well why Hobi gets overlooked on certain things...it looks so effortless for him even when doing high level techniques. It's why dancers notice his talent so easily but non dancers very easily miss it.
this makes total sense, and I think think a similar dynamic happens with Jungkook where he sings so effortlessly that people forget he's singing live. I think certain fans/viewers want to feel needed, so they will only compliment an idol if it looks like he/she is struggling/trying really hard/"needs" the support. Whereas Jhope and Jungkook never look like they're struggling, so people don't feel needed enough to praise them. It's kinda sad when you think about it.

Jungkook dances with power, swag and composure. His dancing skill just hit different. So captivating like always.
The fact that Jimin is also flexible and that he completely masters this dance style because it is his base after all does not detract from his merits, he also demonstrated flexibility, precise movements, fast, powerful and hard even his facial expressions while dancing for me marks A big difference is that he is the best, most complete and most versatile dancer and I love seeing him exploit his full potential and I have always thought that he can do even more.

@@sel483 when I'm typing a quite long sentence in English I can get lost in the words too plus the mobile's corrector always screws up words because English it's not the language of the settings. It happens when we aren't using our first language

3J are so incredibly freaking talented!!! Also, yess, I really do agree with the fact that we don't give them the hype they deserve for being the incredibly talented dancers/perfrormers they are, especially hobi. I remember when I first got into BTS how their technicality and separate styles blew me away, but now I realise that BTS has grown to become the standard for me lmao - no one compares. Their fluidity is so hard to replicate!!
Love the breakdown too - I do agree, JK does have the most MJ-esque style, and Jimin is too smooth. Hobi is an absolute monster of a machine tho - literally, I slowed the video to dissect their moves myself, and I kid you not this man hits every single beat right on time. My man IS the beat.

@@gertlykke4119 Yes I do! ARMY loves giving cutesy nicknames to all the members. Hobi is J-Hope's nickname, and it's one that BTS members use themselves! Jungkook's nickname is JK/kookie (or Bunny, for having many rabbit-esque mannerisms), Jimin is sometimes referred to as chimmy (pronounced similarly), V's is Taetae (short for Taehyung - his real name), Suga is widely known for having cat-like reactions to things, so he's referred to by ARMY as meow-meow, Namjoon/RM often refers to himself as Joonie, and Jin is short for his full name Seokjin - of course, his favoured moniker is WWH - World-Wide Handsome.
I might have missed more than a couple but these nicknames are the OG nicknames all widely known by ARMY.

@@savitawankhade3147 I just mean that this particular dance style is Hobi and JK’s forte, in the same way that Jimin especially stands out when they do choreography that is in the contemporary dance style. Hobi and JK are great at that too, but Jimin really shines with that style. All three of them are excellent dancers, but they each have a distinctive dancing style that lends itself especially well to certain kinds of dancing. That’s all. 💜

I’m just saying that Hobi and JK are especially good at this kind of choreography, and that they really stand out to me in this video for that reason. It’s just my own personal take. There are plenty of dance videos where Jimin particularly stands out. All three of them are incredibly skilled, and could probably win most any competition they entered at this point in their careers when it comes to this kind of dance.

Thank you for reviewing this 💜 Love to hear your thoughts. I also fangirling about j hope's ankle 😂 I just think this choreo fit his style so much. I hope 3J will do more of this. I also would like to share my favorite moments. For the footwork in the beginning, I don't know why but Jimin's is my favorite. I think it's because the space between his feet is not as much big as the other two so it was so satisfying to watch. Also the body rolls when he moved forward 😘 As for Jungkook, I love how powerful he was during the Big Boss verse. His is my favorite. And just like you said, his control during the isolation part, I think that was my most favorite part from the whole video. He was "controlling" Jimin and j hope with his hands. And again, I love how powerful he was during this part.
I'm so glad you stopped the video at j-hope`s ankles to discuss his flexibility and strength. More people need to hear it.

I don’t think jhopes talent is overlooked at all lol I always find that confusing bc I constantly hear people saying that… but legit anytime I see people talking about their dancing… Jhope is always mentioned as being the best dancer and certain things that he does and the way he moves that is gushed about bts everyone. It’s like when people talk about how so many people are hating on jimin… I don’t think I’ve ever heard anybody hating on jimin or seen it on social media at least for like the last 5 years… he’s definitely one of the most loved and adored members… and honestly in the last 5 years so is hobi lol Jhope is the kind of talented that it’s impossible to overlook … it’s nuts… he can seriously move the smallest parts of his body individually … like even his finger… I saw him recently doing a wave with his hand and fingers… and I’ve never seen anybody be able to independently move the three sections of their finger like that lol it’s insane… he seriously moves like he has no bones or that everything from his joints are detachable lol it’s insane and so much to be amazed by… same with jimin… he’s got a very smooth and connected style… even his pops are somehow fluid and feel like he never stops moving even through his pops…. It’s crazy and somehow almost elegant even here with how he moves…. Jk just has insane strength and control… his movements are sharp, strong and dynamic…. He’s honestly the one who is extremely underrated when it comes to dancing and it seems like it’s bc jhope and jimin are the main dancers and he’s the lead dancer… it’s like ppl tend to get unhappy about jks dancing being complimented which I don’t get. Jhope had been seriously dancing for like 10 years more than jk and jimin like 6 years of legit hip hop and contemporary dance training and somehow fetus jk became part of the dance line with these two dance icons…. I’m proud of him and don’t care who has an issue with that… you can see so clearly his dancing is a mix of jimin and Jhope bc he looks up to them so much when it comes to dance… and wish ppl would stop having that attitude towards him and his dancing. Saying he does something good does not mean the other two aren’t or that he’s better … he’s not… technically Jhope and jimin have those details that dancers will notice… it’s crazy and I love watching them all dance together bc they’re so different… but truly a special dance line who randomly threw this together for us as a surprise… and all 3 killed it and shine in their individual strengths at the same time !!!

Yeah, I think everyone loves to victimize Jimin, Jhope and Tae especially. However I feel like those members are the most avidly complimented members by the fandom, and Jimin/Tae/Jin stans are the most defensive by far.
Whereas compliments about Jungkook get a tonne of passive-aggression that no-one talks about. The difference is JK doesn't get outright hate, he gets indirect hate. You'll notice how compliments about Jungkook are always at the bottom of the comment section because they get the most dislikes. People target comments about Jungkook for irrelevant flaws like "you're not OT7 if JK is your bias" and make whole crusades over it. They also shame reactors for liking JK.
It's like Jungkook's haters have mastered the art of hating on him without drawing attention to themselves.
@@maridalmada4267 Then you should come to twitter. Theres so many news about Hate Blogs that ORGANISEDLY spread hate on Jimin. They have agenda. Some blogs are exposed, having like >200 members that will 4ttack him/send hatefull message at his vlive.. or spread false/missleading info about him etc..etc.
Thats why some korean army asked Hybe to take legal action towards those blogs admin, but we dont see any result about it yet.
Also taekookrs probably one of the biggest shippers. They make lots of delutional analyse video. Sadly some taekookrs took it out of proportion & confuse with reality. Each time jimin & jk interact.. like friends do. They will hate on jimin. So weird

I couldn't take my eyes of JK and they all are amazing dancers 3J's are back I am so happy and I think they all our flexible, but J-Hope does have more in hip hop dancing while Jimin is more ballet and JK trains really hard and learns quickly.

OP never said Jimin "trained" in ballet, she said his style is more like ballet, which is accurate because contemporary is closer on the dance spectrum to ballet than hip-hop. Arguably all western dance history derived from ballet.
