What size tip are you using for the 2K primer, it looked like it was going on thin. The end result still looks great so as long as it's working for you, guess that's all that matters. Nice car man, good luck on the build.
1.8 tip. I considered going larger and for spray polyester I do have a larger one. But the gun seems to lay it down better. This primer recommends 1.6-1.9. Appreciate the kind words. It’s alittle bit of a learning game but I think it’s turning out well. What size tip do you use?
I use a 1.8 and have tried a 2.0 but didn't like it, seemed like way too much overspray, could never get the gun to dial in like I thought it should spray. Usually thin my high build primer by 10% with acetone which allows the gun settings to be a little stronger. Not sure how much it impacts the buildup, but it definitely flows better. Either way, your work speaks for itself, looking good man.
@@kevinkendrick3954 I feel ya there. I have a 2.0 gun when I spray polyester filler it surges and isn’t happy. Still builds but it’s not pretty lol. This gun is a W400-WBX which is like a fancy primer gun that’s supposed to have a low over spray and good atomization. It does lay it really flat and I love this thing but I’m still learning with it. Ive never thinned it before but I’ve been told to thin polyester to help it spray. I’d say you don’t loose too much. If you think of anything else that might be something to try give me a shout. Thanks for the compliments on my work. I appreciate it.
