Early effectiveness of COVID-19 vaccination with BNT162b2 mRNA vaccine and ChAdOx1 adenovirus vector vaccine on symptomatic disease, hospitalisations and mortality in older adults in the UK: a test negative case control study
    khub.net/docum...
    Objectives
    Real-world effectiveness of the Pfizer/BioNTech BNT162b2 vaccine and …
    Astrazeneca ChAdOx1 vaccine against….
    Confirmed COVID-19, hospitalisations and deaths
To estimate effectiveness on the UK variant of concern.
    Setting
Community COVID-19 PCR testing in England
    8th December 2020 and 19th February 2021
All adults in England aged 70 years and older (over 7.5 million)
All symptomatic COVID-19 testing in the community in over 70s
    Test negative case control design
    174,731 PCR tests
156,930 of these (89.8%) linked to vaccination data
    44,590 (28.4%) were positive tests
    112,340 (71.6%) were negative
    Interventions
One and two doses of BNT162b2 vaccine
    One dose of ChAdOx1 vaccine
    Main outcome measures
    Symptomatic PCR confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection
    Hospitalisations and deaths with COVID-19.
    Symptomatic disease infection risk Results
Individuals aged more than 80 years vaccinated with Pfizer BNT162b2
Higher odds of testing positive in the first 9 days after vaccination (odds ratio up to 1.48)
Vaccine effects were noted from 10-13 days after vaccination
Reaching an effectiveness of 70% from 28-34 days, then plateauing
From 14 days after the second dose, vaccine effectiveness was 89%
(Fewer than 10 over 80 sent to ITU every day in UK)
    Individuals aged more than70 years
    Pfizer BNT162b2
Vaccine effectiveness reached 61% from 28-34 days then plateaued
    AZ ChAdOx1
Vaccine effects, were seen from 14-20 days
Reaching an effectiveness of 60% from 28-34 days
Further increasing to 73% from day 35 onwards
Risk of emergency hospitalisation and death results
    One dose of BNT162b2
Additional 43% lower risk of emergency hospitalisation
Additional 51% lower risk of death
    One dose of ChAdOx1
Additional 37% lower risk of emergency hospitalisation
Insufficient follow-up to assess the effect of ChAdOx1 on mortality
Combined with the effect against symptomatic disease
Single dose of either vaccine is approximately 80% effective at preventing hospitalisation
Single dose of BNT162b2 is 85% effective at preventing death
Single dose of ChAdOx1 unknown protective effect against death
    Conclusion
Significant reduction in symptomatic SARS-CoV2 positive cases in older adults
Even greater protection against severe disease
    Both vaccines show similar effects
Protection was maintained for more than 6 weeks
A second dose of BNT162b2 provides further protection against symptomatic disease
Second doses of ChAdOx1 have not yet been rolled out in England
There is a clear effect of the vaccines against the UK variant of concern
    Professor Jonathan Van-Tam
Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation
not immunologically plausible the vaccine would work in younger age groups and not older ones.
Dr Mary Ramsay, PHE's head of immunisation, said it could.
If anything we would expect it to be a stronger protection from the vaccine
Lower down in the age range is that people's chances of being hospitalised and dying are much lower
    France
Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine, can be given to people with underlying health conditions in the 65-74 age group
    1.1m doses in country
    Germany
Still not giving the AstraZeneca to the over-65s
    Now under discussion
Large stocks of that vaccine waiting to be used
    (Belgium, Poland, Italy, Sweden)
Professor Andrew Pollard, Oxford Vaccine group
    Findings were stunning
5,000 people dying every day in Europe, important to increase confidence in vaccines
    disappointing in some senses
    really high levels of protection
    support their decision making
Oxford vaccine distributed to low-income countries, Covax scheme

@Peter Mortensen I stumbled upon Dr. Campell around March 2020. At that time I was like all Americans trying to figure out why anyone would eat a bat. Well about the same time I at 67, learned a new word: comorbidity. It was through Dr. Campell's teachings that I was brought on board with the potential seriousness of COVID19. I would religiously listen to him daily. He was the FIRST to promote masks, cleaning of hands, and a litany of other imperative information. A most generous man with his knowledge. He prepared me for my "new world". I'm still alive and currently waiting for my turn at a vaccine, but make no mistake about it Dr. Campbell got me through the first year!

Have a dose of awareness and ask given the daily death count from so called Covid cases where is the daily death count for these experimental vaccines?
Why is it if one dies within 28 days of a PCR test of any cause it gets rubber stamped as a Covid death?
Why if one suffers a severe adverse affect incl death post vaccination excuses are made and its passed off as coincidence or to be expected?

This disease is easy to treat. Eliminate D3 deficiency, prophylax with HCQ or IVM. Treat early for inflammation, resp distress and thrombosis prevention. That’s all. Problem solved.

Professor Cahill in Ireland claims taking Vitamin A,C,D Zinc we should remain safe against the virus. Add to those vitamins already listed resveratrol, they should keep us safe from any adverse effects from the vaccine. All they are doing is ensuring our health is in the best possible position to cope. We have been taking them since the start and will add resveratrol when it arrives next week.
It's very interesting listening to Professor Cahill's interviews on Covid. She is well qualified.

@@vickyhill8156 I read as many opinions on the subject as possible. You need to see her credentials to be fully aware of this person's credibility. Wearing masks are useless unless we use N95s (P2) or higher, even then you just remain sterile, putting on and off correctly and not continuously handling it. But I doubt you have done a study on masks and the usefulness or lack of being useful. In fact, over an extended period you can be doing harm to yourself by continuously wearing a mask by limiting your oxygen supply. They can also cause medical harm when used at times when they shouldn't.
No one can do harm by adding appropriate vitamins or supplements to their regime, when done in conjunction faith their Doctor to monitor the levels in your blood. Anything you do should be after discussion with your Doctor and following his advise.
We have a Government in one of our States where the leading authority thinks he knows what is best over any medical advice also. Unfortunately not all Governments approach this Pandemic using correct medical advise. Many are causing so much harm in our communities by wanting only to Act on their own advice.
Aren't you curious as to why all Covid Vaccine developers have ensured that they won't be held medically liable for any medical harm caused by their vaccines? Shouldn't we be wanting more information about the testing phases of the Vaccines? Like the fact that they haven't tested their vaccines reactions against other medications that we are likely to take.
Are you aware that all the Covid Vaccines are for Emergency Use Authorisation (EUA) because they are all Experimental Vaccines. None have a licence.
Masks and lockdowns are doing nothing but forcing us into compliance. Also you should be staying aware of the medical harm that people are suffering from these EUA Experimental vaccines and the deaths that have been caused. Authorities are relying on us remaining ignorant of these vaccines in order to make vaccinating us easier for them.
Btw, I follow Dr John also.

      Story at-a-glance
John Edmunds is a key government advisor on COVID-19-related policies
Edmunds also happens to be the spouse of someone who, at least until April 2020, was an employee of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and held shares in the company
Edmunds was a co-author of one of the primary modelling papers that have been used to convince the masses that vigilance against new variant B.1.1.7 should be their top priority
GSK is collaborating with mRNA-vaccine company CureVac to spend 150 million euros - approximately $180 million - to make vaccines for the new variants; this effectively gives them first-entrant advantage in vaccines for the new variants
The intricate web of money and influence surrounding Edmunds and other modelling-paper mafiosi, and their effect on the public good, are explored
John Edmunds is on top of the world. He's one of the modelling-paper mafiosi. The London, U.K., professor is a key government advisor on COVID-19-related policies. Edmunds also was a co-author of one of the primary modelling papers1 that have been used to convince the masses that vigilance against new variant B.1.1.7 should be their top priority.
And Edmunds co-wrote an influential January 21, 2021 report2 that concluded, "There is a realistic possibility that VOC B.1.1.7 is associated with an increased risk of death compared to non-VOC viruses."
In addition, he speaks often to reporters about the deadliness3 of the new variant.4 Edmunds tells them, for example, that a "disaster"5 would ensue if lockdowns are eased too soon, because what first must be done is to "vaccinate much, much, much more widely than the elderly."6
      Follow the Funds
Edmunds happens to be the spouse of someone who, at least until April 2020, was an employee of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and held shares in the company. (Edmunds doesn't disclose this in any of his media interviews that I've read and watched. He also doesn't disclose his own stock holdings.)
According to an April 2020 Daily Telegraph7 article,8 Edmunds's wife is Jeanne Pimenta and she works for GSK. The Daily Telegraph article states Edmunds asserted his partner had recently resigned from GSK. So it's unclear whether Pimenta currently works there or not.
I did a little digging and found that the only Jeanne Pimenta LinkedIn profile9 indicates she's currently director of epidemiology at GSK, while Jeanne Pimenta's ResearchGate profile10 says she's an epidemiologist at BioMarin Pharmaceutical. (More about Edmunds being married to a present or former Glaxo employee in the next section of this article.)
In any case, GSK's financial success is skyrocketing. On February 311 the company announced it's collaborating with mRNA-vaccine company CureVac to spend 150 million euros - approximately $180 million - to make vaccines for the new variants.
That effectively gives them first-entrant advantage in vaccines for the new variants. And that same February 3 news release12 touts the new-variant vaccines as also able to serve as "booster" shots after the initial rounds of vaccination. In addition, GSK joined forces with CureVac to pump out, later this year, 100 million doses of CureVac's "first-generation" COVID-19 vaccine called "CvnCoV."13
Not only that: this fall14 GSK together with another international pharmaceutical firm, Sanofi, are scheduled to start producing what could turn out to be up to 1 billion doses of their COVID-19 vaccine annually.15 GSK's understated February 3 announcement16 of its Q4 2020 financial results said it will "continue to expect meaningful improvement in revenues and margins" because they are "building a high-value biopharma pipeline."
Note that GSK and other pharma companies17 like Moderna and Pfizer18 are not responsible for damage and compensation payments to people seriously injured and killed by COVID-19 vaccines. Governments19 will pay instead - that is, if those injured and killed and their loved ones are able to beat the long odds20 and get any compensation at all.
And a remarkable February 8, 2021,21 investigative report in the German news outlet Welt Am Sonntag (which translates to World on Sunday) reveals another impetus for the wildly inaccurate modelling governments use to keep populations in a state of fear and control.
The German article shows that in March 2020 government officials enlisted "leading scientists from several research institutes and universities. Together, they were to produce a [mathematical-modelling] paper that would serve as legitimization for further tough political measures."
These scientists obediently wrote a modelling paper tailored to the government's instructions. The then-secret paper asserted that if lockdown measures were lifted immediately, up to 1 million Germans would die from COVID-19, some "agonizingly at home, gasping for breath," after being turned away from overflowing hospitals.

Looking forward to more evidence coming in and more vaccines given across the world. We got this. Greetings from Serbia

Your comment is under mine highlighting marks out of ten for the French President’s comments last year about age groups and the Astra Zeneca Vaccine. That has nothing to do with silver. Also, your perspective on silver is a little wide of the mark. Those who have undertaken meaningful research on the bacteriostatic, bactericidal and virocidal properties of silver have done so using colloidal suspensions of silver ions in water. Perhaps you should start your own TH-cam channel and tell us all about that? There is some useful information to report. Finally, you would be wise to give references, as done by Dr John. This week's allowance wasn't delivered at all by AstraZeneca and we were told it was due to "rebalancing"? Whatever that means. Here is an article in the Guardian explaining why in France and Germany they had only used a relatively small portion of the vaccine. In Germany the problem was because they were having to find people under-65 in the priority groups to vaccinate with AZ. In France they are still vaccinating the second dose at the 4week mark unlike the UK. Remember France and Germany were not in the crisis that the UK was in as the death rate in the Germany is less than half that in the UK. Even though they have relatively few people vaccinated they also still have a lower infection rate. The same with France and they have all their schools open. So it might be useful to look at the data. Germany's success in curbing Covid is to be admired not sneered at! So I would be inclined to listen to their public health specialists especially as their population has a higher life expectancy that that of the UK. Well done them! www.theguardian.com/world/2021/mar/02/covid-germany-and-france-under-pressure-to-shift-oxford-vaccine

John, you have done great work educating people on vitamin D. I would love it if you could talk with Paul Marik or Pierre Kory about ivermectin!
