He definitely top 3 in Kickboxing(not Muay Thai) at 70 Kgs. People keep examining guys that retroactively not realizing the important stuff. Everyone saying hes not the best because he got knocked out recently is ignoring the fact that hes been fighting the best guys in kickboxing for over 20 years and has only been ko'd twice(which is very rare). All the big names in kickboxing had there best years in the mid to late 2000s. The fact hes still fughting competitively at this age is a testament to his greatness.

@@Suplex479 he had a draw with Buakaw in MT rules and I think it would got the same way in kickboxing rules so I'm unwilling to make a GOAT over Buakaw or any heavyweight in K1
@@kaliduncanel3356 that was very early in Petrosyans career, in muay thai rules which favour Buakaw, you have to compare their other wins with eachother, in kickboxing Petrosyan had the better career
@@Suplex479 I kind of agree with you but, when a watched the fight they were so respectful of each that it was a wash. I don't see how I could pick between the two because of that alone. They also have the same number of championships in K1. It is too close to assume either way for me.

I love kick boxers and MMA fighters who are good at boxing. Their attacks tend to be much more crisp and their use of angles and correct timing are impressive. Giorgio P and Gabriel Varga are perfect examples.
Would love to see Varga in One fc... And its amazing when two guyz with crisp boxing fight each other.. Like Allazov vs Gregorian match

He was 32 when this fight happened 5 years ago. He fought one more time after superbon. He no longer competes
Maybe one of the best... hard to say "the best" when Ernesto Hoost, Buakaw, Rob Kaman, Peter Aerts, Badr Hari, Andy Hug, Semmy Schilt, Tenshin Nasukawa and many more are on the GOAT list
Except for Tenshin who's carreer isn't that long, no one in the list's fight record comes close to the win loss ratio of Petrosyan.
Allthough all of the fighter you named are great.

and after saying farewell to the brothers he sailed for Syria,
together with Priscilla and Aquila.

This Giorgio guy would not last 1 round in mma, it’s easy to do kickboxing and Muay Thai anyone can do it but it’s not easy to do mma, there is a reason if in kickboxing u can go for 44 win streak easily but in mma even 4/5 win streak is considered a lot! Nothing special
The point is that you might be undermining Giorgio’s accomplishments a little there.
The mma guys wouldn’t last a minute in a kickboxing or Muay Thai ruleset…
Isn’t Petrosyan a multimillionaire he has his own huge gym a hair a salon a huge house nice luxury cars he seems to be taken care of really well

After beating Naruepol Fairtex, Kem Sitsongpeenong, Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee, Jo Nattuwat (x2), Sorgraw Petchyindee, Petchmorakot Petchyindee and numerous other top fighters including Chingiz Allazov, Andy Souwer (x2), Jordan Watson, Enriko Kehl, Robin Van Roosmalen, Davit Kiria (x2), Arthur Kyshenko, Cosmo Alexandre, Yoshihiro Sato, Mike Zambidis and Fabio Pinca (x2). And taking a prime Buakaw to a somewhat controversial draw.
Alongside winning x2 K-1 Grand Prix's, the GLORY Slam Tournament, and the ONE Featherweight Grand Prix.
Even Buakaw doesn't have a record to match that.

Thais fight Muay Thai. Most of them do not take kickboxing seriously and plenty of them get knocked out in that ruleset. Giorgio fought to a draw with Buakaw and Buakaw is the best Thai to ever fight in kickboxing rules. Thailand is a non-factor in Giorgios legacy.
