I am living in USA since 1993 but I brought my 2 boys to India for school in mussorriee India
Now my elder son is doing regidency in emergency medicine in Miami and you younger son is software engineer in Dallas!
They are well rooted in Indian culture , spiritual knowledge and experience of our great land.. I’m also planning to move back to India soon when they get married.
I choose to live in rishikeah but belong to Punjab.

@sukhvinderkaur5304 ji did your kids go to St George's by any chance? Did they adapt well to Indian school? Rishikesh is an excellent choice, coming from a punjabi born and raised in Uttrakhand :)

Challenges lie ahead .... critical events to watch out for: 10th Exams > 12th Exams > College Admissions > Seeing your friends looking to go abroad for higher studies (a place that you gave up in past). That is where competition is killing in India.

Hi, great videos, as someone who plans to head back, I am curious about the following:
    1) amount of money you think is good to sustain
    2) when is the "right"/optimum age for a child beyond which one shouldn't make the move back home
    3) does your elder one plan to apply to US universities and head back?
    4) what did you do with your 401ks, 529, other investments, home etc. Any tax saving suggestions? Opening a trust etc.
    Thanks,
    Kumar

Good content with good real perspective. Towards the end you mentioned the kids are getting independent in India and in previous video you mentioned that one of the reason (to move to India) was kids become independent in USA and are at their own after college (which is very true for majority of cases). I can understand your meaning of independence of kids in India versus USA is from different perspective but some people may take it wrongly. You did great job to point out everything in an excellent way. Kudos to you.
One point No one discuss about pros for USA is about the life expectancy in USA. There is discussion about air quality but that relate directly with life expectancy. India has average life expectancy of about 68 years: whereas USA has about 78 years. That is 10 years of productive more life expectancy in USA. Again, thank you for sharing your wisdom and experiences...
