I am one for Living in India but its clear that no party in power (in the centre or states) ever brings about an improvement in Quality of Life. Vikas clearly does not include Excellent Quality of Life. Quality of Air, Water, Roads, Ease of daily living and commuting, Adulteration-free food, access to Excellent, Affordable Education & Health facilities for ALL, concerted crackdown on crime, genuinely working on unemployment, Corruption-free govt services (what happnd to Khaoonga nahi, Khaane nahi doonga?), Open/Green spaces, and so much more! If all this was genuinely worked on... it could all be definitely done. Unfortunately, every party has its own agenda... so how can we ever call ourselves a Developed Country just becoz the gdp figures grow?
pl remove the NRI Life logo with animation from your video, its disturbing...rest, very good content
Appreciate your effort to share information. I think the decision to leave India and then to return to India after many years is ultimately dependent on personal circumstances. I am not aware of how you and your spouse are coping with matters of profession. But from this video it appears that one has to maintain a significantly high income to have a good quality of life in India - in a city like Noida or Gurugram. Anything that effects your ability to earn even slightly can drastically reduce your quality of life. For instance, out of so many housing societies in Noida, you had to very carefully choose a particular society. The same seems to apply in choosing a school. And a hospital, when needed. What I am trying to say is, one can have a good quality of life in India - but in small bubbles that one has to create. The moment one steps out of that bubble - life hits hard. For instance, the pollution, the flooded streets in Delhi and Gurugrams, the lack of civic sense etc. These things cannot be replaced by a creating bubble. Rich people in India, who never had to set foot outside of India, have for long created these bubbles for themselves and been living in them. Have you thought about if your kids can live in those bubbles in India in the long run? Or will they have to take the same decisions that you took some years back - to explore foreign shores in search of a better life?
Very nice positive approach...hats off to you
Very nice Verybhappy and proud of India...there is no country like India I have left a job outside India just to be with family...that is our strength...very truly said
@4:47 Lose not loose.
Good bring as many as you can back. We want all indians back in India.
Hello, QQ - Is it a good idea to withdraw 401k amount before moving to India? What did you do?
what about air pollution? What about Health Care? What about governance Police system and dirty politics. In INDIA. I will suggest think before leaving USA.
Coming from Gujrati family, I have seen here in US many of has raised our kids as similar if not better than in india. It all depends on you. Its get difficult sometimes because our kids are influenced by other in school and college. But i would say it would be definitely stay in US for quality of life. I hope one day i would be able slpit my time between US and India.
Best way to do, stay in india and work remotely for us company.
I am living in America since 2001, u described the life in America very well, thank you 🙏
A similar situation… my ex boss, moved to India citing similar reasons.. kids finished college in India, but came to USA for higher studies n settled here.. now my ex-boss n his wife visit them here in US !!.. looking at this, I don’t get the point of moving back to home country, if your kids will end up in USA in future !!
It depends. Tomorrow your kids might move out of India… who knows🤷♂️🤷♂️
You are really great to make this video. It was really a conscious and planned decision and sticked to it. My best wishes to you for a happy life
....very thoughtful...👏👌

Schools are the best in America also coming back to India in middle age after kids start working is best choice ....doing tourism in indian with american dollars is luxury...india for young people are like vacation spots and if you have family in the USA the best place to live ....sir go and see all the embassies how indians are standing in huge lines to get into the US ... I spoke to 1000 indians all love the USA ...for old age india is the best ....but for young age and education clean atmosphere money technology america is the Best
I went to India to celebrate Diwali wid my parents. The amount of Toxicity i experienced this time, was phenomenal. People judge each other for everything. From clothes to Home decor, everything needs to be top notch. So much show off, so many expectations from u because तुम तो Dollar में कमाते हो। I wrote off some relatives because of so much jealousy i faced there. And don't get me started on Marriages. There is a function yo attend everyday and so much noise. A Couple with their two small kids had decided to burn Fire crackers for 100 days after Diwali. So every night, at 10 Those 4 were right there, showing (figurative) middle finger to everyone out for a walk. Disgusting. No Morals, No ethics and zero regard for anyone and everyone. I won't want to go back for a vacation, leave alone moving back. The only reason we visit is, Parents. ❤
Blame your primitive Hindu culture and not Indians. You live a decent American life because you live in a Christian majority country, and you’re Americanized. Being Americanized = embracing judaeo-Christian culture.
Only Hindus like yourself burn crackers, burn dead bodies, dump statues onto river beds, pollute river(ganga)for satisfying your gods. It’s absolutely primitive. I complain to my maa everyday for giving me birth in a hindu majority nation, it literally sucks!!!
Being a Hindu takes a huge toll on the environment. No wonder why india is highly polluted.
I appreciate your sincere thoughts. Very nicely explained your views, both pros and cons of returning to India. Circumstances would be different for everyone. In my case, I am 70 now and have been in North America for last 20 years. My mother and elder brother expired during this time. My kids and grandkids are independently settled here and happy in their own world. My priority is to be close to them, so that we are there to support each other in times of need. I like to visit India off and on, but every time I go there, pollution, adulteration, corruption and lawlessness bother me a lot. I would be eagerly watching your future episodes to know about your experiences and lessons learnt.
Thank you so much sir for appreciating my work and sharing your story. 🙏🏼🙏🏼
🙏🙏🙏For your honest analysis and sharing it with us ,Thank you 🙏🙏🙏🙏
I don't understand Hindi. Did you have a green card before moving back to India?
Thank you for watching even when you don’t understand Hindi. No i do not have a green card.
High population density, Government policy, less penalty for violation of rules needs attention from government
Spanish is uselss send your kids to sainik schools.
Chanced watching ur video n i find it so soul searching. We are in Canada since abt 40 years now but miss India n the warmth of its people. I don’t hv any family left there but I still want to spend my twilight days in India. Our girls n their families are rooted here n no question of them ever thinking of India but i think we now have to b selfish n think only of ourselves. Must say facilities for seniors here like free healthcare, free everyday transportation etc is unmatched but the winters are harsh n yes in those months we feel alone. My husband is very keen on settling in India n im still on the fence! Time wl tell
1 sawal hai : 10 saal USA mey bitaney ke baad ,jahan mia biwi dono working rahey ho IT related fields mey mid level career jobs mey, ushke baad kitna paisa bachake ke India mey ajata hai finaly total? My friends does not open mouth on this aspect, so asking, I assume 20CR INR ? Is it correct ? Sir

I moved from USA after 35 yrs at the age of 58.We don't have kids. So to spend Golden years ,India was a right choice but in last 5-7 yrs, things have gone from good to worst. Commuting has become a problem. Lots of high rise bldg. No green trees. Lots of adulteration in food ,which you never have to worry in USA. People are going like western after money. Everyone wants to get Rich in short period of time.Lots of cybercrime. At present I don't know if moving back was a Right choice???
Completely understand your challenges. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. Stay connected 🙏🏼
Moral of the Story "Your wife's Project Comes to deadlines , now visa is no longer valid😂"
I am living in Australia as an Australian citizen all my kids grand kids are well settled and have no intention to migrate back
Excellent decision nothing is like India where we get family attachments
I am also from a similar background as u (culturally and geographically too). apna ghar -is what u make as a couple and ur parents' place is also ghar but a second home. That is true. Because that is the common link between ur spouse and urself - which ur kids also see and feel like a family. Otherwise there will two or even more ghar and that creates a confusion and lack of attachment to the single unit of a family or ghar (for the kids especially).
Great information and research. I am a retired surgeon, with two sons. One in San Francisco, second in India having his own startup. Both IIT ians. I will forward your thoughs and views to them. Thanks.
Thankyou so much sir for appreciating my work 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 stay connected
bhaiya aapne shi kahan .
You are right India in 2024 is not same as it was in 2012 . That's why more than 2 lakhs Indians gave up their Indian citizenship in the year 2023 alone . Your main reason to coming back to India according to your video is that you didn't want to regret next 20 to 30 years of your life because of fear your kids going away from you after college or as soon as they enter college if you had stayed in America and "train nikal jaati usko permanently India wapis lane k liye" as you yourself said . That's why you didn't even wait for 2 more years as your kid would be in college in next 2 years . And its a no brainer that everyone knows before moving to any other country that they would be able to visit their parents once or twice in a year. You also knew it very well before deciding to move to America, still you didn't think about that your parents would regret it too by you letting yourself go away from them for years. You don't want to regret next 20 to 30 years of your life but you made your parents regret 12 years of their life while you were so far from them. And what if your kid want to go abroad for higher studies and he also want to be on a foreign land for financial stability for 10 to 15 years, then you would still regret it anyways
