Almost 35 years old and looks brand new
Never seen more of a beautiful bike in my life. The designing in this bike is so a head of it's time. It looks fast but not so hot boy so it's just a classic look.
I watching this video yesterday and forgot to give it thumbs up. I totally agree with you... it’s beautiful.
Awesome! There should be a weekly feature hosted by Billy. What a interesting guy 🤘🤘
Owning a few cbrs like the 900,929rr and 1000rr this bike is a legend 🙌 love these old Hondas
What a time piece ❤
Had a poster of this bike on my wall when I was 14!
I bought this bike in 1987 and every single person who pulled up along side me wanted to race. Big bore Harleys were the most fun. I'd even give em a gear or two head start...hahahaha...do true.
Man I miss my 98 600. Nothing is as smooth as a Honda
Bought it. Keep an eye out for it on the streets of Las Vegas
So awesome hearing from billy, Kaplan has the best bikers/ racers/ people!!
Then all the best bikes!!!
Awesome!!!
God bless America!
God bless Kaplan!!!
What a beauty!
Had a red-white-blue one untill the early nineties. Best bike I ever had; fast enough, agile and nimble.
I had a CBR600FK with the red, blue and white colour scheme. I put a micron slip on race can on it and had a stage 2 Dynojet kit put on it as well. It only put about 5mph on the top end (155mph), but boy did it accelerate. It had 48 1/2" holes drilled into the air box and you could hear it sucking the air in. The guy who tuned it used to be in a team that used to go to the TT. Those were the care free days and i mss em.
Always the best of the best. Kaplan Cycles, the NEMM and Kaplan America are THE BEST IN THE WORLD!
My dad had one of these, and with the stock exhaust it sounds exactly the same here as in my memories.
I have the 1990 CBR 1000. I've owned it since 1999 and before that my brother owned it. Still a silver bullet!
I owned the same model - same color scheme - wish I still had it! A bit of work to keep the carbs in order over the years but an amazing bike !
Great machine good story 👍
"Look at it… Will you just look at it"? I've never seen anything so beautiful. Look at the front fender on that thing… Look at the whole thing! "Look at it… Will you just look at it"? My God they don't make them like that anymore!!!! Gorgeous… Just gorgeous!!!
for 40,000 plus miles bike is pretty clean
yea
An absolute beauty of a motorcycle ❤
I can't believe how clean this bike is, even the swingarm is perfect. The year 1989 was when the insurance companies were cracking down on oft-crashed sportbikes, so Honda stopped calling it the Hurricane and only used CBR600 as the name. Because insurance companies (and the Kawasaki Ninja 600) know: "All things must hide from the Hurricane."
Absolutely amazing specimen. I have a 1987 cbr600f, its it pretty good condition, not museum quality for sure but its in very good condition and it purrs like a kitten but roars like a lion from 9500 to 12000 rpm
contact me i have a 1986 vfr 700 mint under 11 k miles all stock-- never down .
I never knew these hurricanes came in this color scheme until recently. I went to purchase some parts for my sons old Suzuki quad sport and the fella was a machine and parts flipper that had stumble across one of these (in this color) for ($250?) Idk some CRAZY price. And it was almost as crispy as this example. The guy must’ve dropped it and got scared because it had sat since ‘93? Or something and it has CRAZY low miles only problems I saw were cracked windshield and a missing left side rear view mirror. I was in awe over this machine. It’s actually on Marketplace as we speak for trade to a Honda Grom…. The whole reason I found this video.
I have one myself a 1987 Hurricane 600rr black and red 😍👍👊
So glad you put this video together. I had this bike in that color. never saw another one like it. Wish I would’ve kept it but it’s nice to see! I loved it!
we call that the jelly mould here in the uk
These are gorgeous and overlooked sometimes make no mistake these are a pure quality honda
I had the 1987 Hurricane red with black. If could have it back.
You will NEVER find this bike ANYWHERE!! My friend had one back whenn I was still riding my '82 GPz550 (62 hp) and when I got on this thing, thought I was about to drop it on the first turn, (it turned on a dime) and that power-to-weight ratio...WOW!!
Well I just found it, I’m picking it up tomorrow. Beautiful beast..”behold a pale horse”..that’s what I’m calling it. “Pale Horse”
@@Ishbikes You bought it from Sr.?
I bought a 1989 model yesterday (red and white). Needs a bit of tidying up and off I go. I bought a brand new one in 1989.
A real gem!🌟 sounds great..😊
My favorite motorcycle of all time. Did it sell at auction?
Sounds sweet as a nut Ken,cracking!👌🦾🦾🦾
That bike is Mint!
i just bought one for 250 buck it needs carb bought that for 75 waiting on shipping now its a gem i dont know how i paid 250 bucks lol 😂 its a 88 second owner
Way cleaner than mine
CBR 6's ruled Bridgehampton. Commies made it into a freaking golf course / condo what ever. Need more tracks and less ,freakin golf balls if you ask me
Sad they took away the Hurricane name during this year .
88 honda cbr600 looks a lot like the 88 Suzuki gsx600f miss my gsx600f my first fearing sports bike I've had a kz650 and my gs750 and currently have a cb650 four all fun bikes I prefer older sports bikes
I have this exact bike it was my first motorcycle ever. I can't believe the quality of that cbr.
same it was my first bike to it in 2012 took it from 29 000miles to 110 000miles in 9 years. amazing machine
Mine too, back in 1991. Black red. Awesome bike.
Your service department should be commended. Hardly anyone has the attention to detail anymore to line up the tire balance dots with the valve stem. Small details like this I notice. Great looking bike. Front brake lines are aftermarket, but other than that, a well preserved example.
beatiful scoot, Ken 🥰
one of a kind fer sure
Stunning
Looks like a 5000 mile garaged bike not 44,000
What a great interview and tribute to a real classic!
I bought a 1990 CBR-600f new off the showroom floor and still own it.
It’s pearl white and silver, running Dyna ignition, V&H pro super sport pipe, steel braided lines, Ebc green pads.
Would love to find a rear pillion cover like that 1989 has, if you run across one please let me know!
my 1990 hit 110 000miles awesome engine
Wow!!
Cool bike, incredible bike in the day!!
Awesome bike!!
Nice colors!
looks awesome and sounds electric🤣😂🤣😂
Awesome bike, just bought one myself and I'm starting to restore it. Never seen a rear seat cowl like that however. Is that custom made or did it come stock with the bikes?
Bill earns you a thumbs up! I bought a new leftover 1986 VFR 750 instead of the the 87 CBR 600 they had at the dealer I worked at. I always wondered if I made the right decision. It was back and orange if I recall. It was the 17" rims I wanted as my Interuptor had the odd 16" front that was in fashion for a time.
750 was way faster . you worked there ?? and did not know? vfr 750 did 152 - cbr 600 did 142-
I never said anything about which was faster..wtf are you talking about?@@unclealzbbq2185
Um abraço do Brasil!
This bike is beautiful. ❤
Thanks for the bike! Bought at auction and LOVE it. Las Vegas
Right on!
may i ask how much money you paid?

Great stories Kenny, i love it!
Missing the bible verses from the times we were all in lockdown, kept me going, and now we all came back stronger, bring them back! G.
I had one and it was a wheelie machine
Heck Ken you got a pot hole ... or is that a micro motocross track???
I had one exactly like that. In my opinion, the very best paint scheme for those gen 1 CBRs. I have to know what this sold for, does anyone know?
Bill Blath, was that the name of the ex cbr600 racer?
I had this motorcycle. I regret selling it.
Would it be hard to find parts??
😍😍😍😍😍
Nice!
Awesome video, brother. That is one gorgeous bike. Loved Billy telling you the story about him racing them. 170mph for a CBR 600, even though I know it wasn't stock, is mind blowing. Puts into perspective, how much power the new CBR 1000's must have. Great Video! PS. If I remember correctly, in the 80's Honda made a Hurricane that was red, white, and blue, like some of their old interceptors, if I'm correct in thinking?
Yes they made this bike in this color scheme as well as red, white and blue and the one I remember from my childhood red and black
I had a stock CBR600f and it went 230km/h.
Can you find this part # and tell me what the part is ? 53H-02
WOW love the bike but that powerband most likely caused a lot of problems. Sitting on that and looking at straight road is too intriguing.
You guys putting the Vfrs up for sale soon?
Soon
How much do you want for
Wants to sell..?How much?
$5k
I'll fill that pothole on the cheap.
Ugly compared to the fzr600
To you, and in what way is your opinion correct?
It’s not a video about a fzr
Why does everyone think they gotta share their opinion???
The world doesn’t care, what you like better!
Please try and keep up!!
Please.
@@metalted6128 it looked like an overweight plastic pig!
Sweet memories. I bought an identical ride at 20 yo. in 1990. The annual insurance cost as much as the bike. Lol.
