Every woman EVER will always have the same reaction to this song. They involuntarily close their eyes and start swaying back and forth, while a dreamy smile dances across their lips. It’s powerful stuff. Lol.
There never was or ever will be any singing duo like The Righteous Brothers. Bobby, with his amazing counter-tenor voice and baritone to G5 and higher range, Bill with his wonderful Bass-Baritone...incomparable. Another thing that set them apart, the feeling, emotion, and love they put into every song they sang.
This is called blue-eyed soul. These guys were the best. Bobby Hatfield with his beautiful tenor voice & Bill Medley with his deeper voice. They were magic together. And remember this is done live. No auto-tuning crap like today. And the songs had meaningful beautiful lyrics.
Blue Eyed Soul actually was a Phrase Coined in Philadelphia that also had alot of Blue eyed Soul singers. Len Barry (123), Vicky Sue Robinson (Turn The Beat Around), and Karen Young (RIP) with Hot Shot.
Just sit back and be amazed at what youre about to hear, nothing like it before or since then i garentee you that. they was known sa the Blueeyed soul with there music.just enjoy the experiance just like we did wn we first hear them live on tv
After sixty years, women still get dreamy-eyed and then that smile creeps over their lips and they begin to sway to the music, and sixty years from now that reaction will be the same. Bill and Bobby must be responsible for so many babies being born!
This was done on a 1960's American Show called Hullaballoo. Before Music Videos Rock & Roll Singers did US Music Shows. The most powerful was American Bandstand, then Where The Action Is (Both Hosted By Dick Clark). They got their name when they were performing in Navy Bases in San Francisco, and the Black Sailors would clap and say "That's Righteous Brothers". That Week's Show was hosted by Nancy Sinatra (Daughter Of Frank). Bill was heavily influenced by American Blues Singers like BB King, and Ray Charles.
Just an FYI … that week’s show was hosted by the Righteous Brothers… Nancy was a featured act and introduced this song. The series is available on DVD … Kaleidoscope Video
@Peacesent Makeover They actually got tje name Rightous Brothers when they were doing a concert at a southern black club back then and there was a table of black United States Marines and when they were done singing one of those Marines told them they were Rightous Brothers.
They borrowed (were inspired by) the black music. So did Elvis. Interesting how this music is being revived and appreciated by a young modern audience.
The lady in the middle is fantastic. I could listen to her all day , The 2 ladies on her sides are terrible. The middle woman is speaking cleary with enthusiasm while the other 2 sit like statues. No emotions from the side girls. too quite. I don't think their right for a reaction video.

@Zanhar76 I stand corrected. I saw her in a Clip describing them as two fellows who did inspired interpretations of Soul Music
@@zanhar7688 Can it be bought through Amazon?
Great background music
If these two returned on their prome today....they would easily top charts for a while.
Absolutely amazing😊
The sexiest women in the world listening to the most romantic song.
American men were a different breed back then! Stylish and respectful of their women!
