  • What is a WorldSchool Hub? | Alternative Education for Traveling Families
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In today's video, we're going to talk about a concept that's been gaining popularity in the world of education and travel - worldschooling hubs.
If you're a parent who's interested in alternative forms of education, or someone who loves to travel and explore different cultures, then this video is for you. So, let's dive in!
Essentially, a worldschooling hub is a physical location where families can come together to learn, explore and connect with other like-minded families. These hubs are located in different parts of the world, and they provide a unique opportunity for families to immerse themselves in different cultures, languages, and ways of life.
Now, let's take a look at some examples of worldschooling hubs.
On our most recent trip to the Dominican Republic, our kids attended the Human Hive. The Human Hive is a world schooling hub located in the town of Cabrera, on the north coast of the Dominican Republic. The hub is designed to provide a unique educational experience for families who are interested in alternative forms of education, cultural immersion, and community living.
The hub offers a range of programs and activities for both children and adults, including language classes, cultural workshops, outdoor adventures, and community projects. Children are encouraged to follow their interests and passions, and learn through hands-on experiences and real-life situations. The goal of the Human Hive is to provide a holistic education that prepares children for the challenges of the 21st century.
The Human Hive is located in a beautiful natural setting, surrounded by mountains and the sea.
To participate in the programs at the Human Hive, families must apply and be accepted. The Human Hive offers multiple sessions each year - ranging from 2 - 6 weeks for each program.
Overall, the Human Hive World Schooling Hub in the Dominican Republic offers a unique and enriching educational experience for families who are interested in world schooling and cultural immersion.
There are also hubs in Luxor, Egypt; Bali, Indonesia; Sintra, Portugal; Syros, Greece; Tuscany, Italy; New Zealand, South Africa, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Costa Rica, Turkey, as well as pop up hubs being offered in new locations all the time!
