Tell her to drop ,with treat in ur hands .give it only when she drops the ball off mouth and say positive compliments like good girl and give the treat. Wait till she drops it .Do it every now and then it takes time . Beagles r selfish so they wanna play but dont want us to touch their stuff lol.
Thanks a lot for showing how to learn the beagle those tricks. I will learn my beagle that cute sitting trick. Our beagle learned the play dead trick in a few minutes. But as soon as we did not practice it every day, it is difficult to get her to do it properly. Or she is so eager about the treat that she doesn’t have the time to fully roll over. Instead she does it half way, jumps up and does two fast spins to get the treat. Beagles are truly funny. What I like most, are the two barks when she wants to play a game where I throw something and she gets it, and then runs around me expecting me to chase her for it. Finally she puts it down and barks when I get. Then you understand how much energy these little dogs have, I get exhausted.

My old boy isn't a big face kisser, just once in a blue moon, but he is a big hand licker, especially when he's getting belly rubs. He loves rolling on his back, getting his rubs, licking your hand in gratitude, and then rolling back on his side to trap you into an eternal cycle of belly rubs.
My boyfriend has gotten him to howl along with him. As soon as bf goes off, so does our boy. But when I try to join in, he just stares at me like I'm crazy and gives me a short little _huff_ like "Stop that, you're doing it wrong."
His previous owners taught him most of the other tricks. His "shake" isn't really a shake but more of a punch; he has no chill with it and seems to be smacking your hand away to get his reward instead. The "Bang" command has a maybe 50% success rate, and maybe 25% success when followed with "Dead dogs don't move" to get him to stay "dead." Like many Beagles, he knows the command, but he only does it when he wants to do it.

my favorite not on the list is "leave it". Its vary valuable. Imagine dropping a human medicine, the dog sees it and starts running to eat it! One quick leave it command can save a trip to the vet! It's not an easy trick, but you can teach them and it is a life saver literally! To teach it, have the dog sit and just out of reach put a treat on the ground in front of them. If they go for it block them with your hand. After a while they will watch you because they want it but know your going to block it with your hand. Repeat a ton of times until you can drop it in front of them, say leave it and they just watch it until you tell them it's ok. I like to use 2 different types of treats and give them the better one, and never give them the not so good one. Keep doing it until you can leave the room and come back and the treat is still there. Best trick!

Any tips on training 2 at the same time? They are bonded sisters and have to do everything together. We reward as each one follows a command but teaching new commands is harder.

Beagles r independent so mostly they wont obey to everthing .but still knows what is right what is wrong .
Some beagles obey well ,and some dont ,its up to their character .Mine is a thug ,he behaves like some rowdy and does some bad stuff even knowing it is wrong cos they like messing with u sand seek our attention.

How to make our dog quiet
Is the peanut butter we normally use for sandwiches or is it for dogs only?
I'm using a doggy peanut butter. My Merlot goes mental for it
I know this is late but as long as the peanut butter doesn't have xylitol in it, it should be ok. A lot of common grocery store brands would work but may have a lot of sugar in them, so to be safe you could always go for specially-made doggy PB.

Make sure no xylitol bc it's toxic. 1x = death

You can start teaching then tricks when they are 8 weeks old. However make sure to use their own food as treats.

How can i teach 10 week old female beagle some obidience
Starting with basic ,give treats when she obeys u ,compliment her when she does smt right amd say no when she does smt bad it takes more than months for beagkes to understand and adapt since their r new borns after all ,till it reaches 1 years of age keep close attention of her and train and maintain some level of disclipine and after a while she will follow her habits and be a good girl
Beagles r selfish and learn stuff only for treats like small chicken or packaged treat.
Train her to sit and call her by her name for 2 first months follow a correct schedule for feeding her ding the bowl she eats with when its supper time .
There is a beagle I know he’s spoiled fat and lazy he won’t get his butt up for anything except Rosogolla or anything sweet
