Good video Bob. Cleaned my ERG value and the inlet & outlet pipe on my 2015 GX460 with 58k miles last week. Managed to scrape all the carbon from the value and pipes. One of the pipes was super caked on with carbon deposits. I can tell it made a difference with silky smoother exhilaration. It also feels must more responsive and zippy. Used a whole can of cleaner for the EGR value and the throttle body. Super smooth idle. Very happy with results and plan to clean these two parts every 30k miles.
As a shortcut if you recently flushed your radiator- you could clamp off the two radiator hoses to the EGR and then remove from the vehicle to clean. That would take a lot less time and hassle.
absolutely. Hence why i didnt' release the driver side engine block. I wanted to see what difference it would make. Lots of trial and error but great lessons learned.

After you clean it, i guarantee you a quicker throttle response, you’ll feel it in your gas pedal. Word of advice, don’t drain out your radiator coolant. Just clamp the hoses that connect to your EGR valve. When you’re done, top off the coolant as necessary.
Acetone is a preferred cleaning agent for degreasing parts and machinery, not only because it is affordable and easy to use, but it has a high evaporation rate and significantly reduces any risk of damage caused by moisture. The Clublexus and Ih8mud forums have TONS of information for you. That said, the Premium package is the most common and best balance of options/price out there. It has everything you want without Air suspension and a few other high end bits. None of these trucks from 14-18 come with carplay or android auto, they are generation older than that. I got a Lux Model for the air suspension and towing a car trailer. It's not required for towing but makes things easier.
Well said Berry. I, myself, took a base model because i am using it to build from. If i were to purchase a truck to keep, it would be one without the air suspension (not a huge fan...i've replaced quite a few), but one with parking sensors and front cameras. The rest of the other accessories (carplay), you can handle yourself if you have the patience. Good luck Carlos.
