    See you next time!
    from-
Just kidding, that's not all HAHA.
    Personal Updates:
I first have to apologise for the EXTREMELY BAD upload schedule (it's been over a year T_T). Last year of high school got extremely busy... and I couldn't keep up, nor have enough time to arrange and upload. I am very sorry about the rusty upload schedule. Now that high school is finished, I'M FREE AGAIN. Or...a lot more free than I was. So...hopefully I'll be able to upload A LOT more and more frequently :D
    About this arrangement:
I've been actually working on "Tracing that Dream" by YOASOBI for a while actually and been practising for almost 3 weeks. However, I'm about to go overseas very soon (tomorrow lol), and I really REALLY wanted to at least upload something for you guys. You guys deserve it, especially with all the waiting...
So with that mind, I found this song, titled "Summer Haze". I actually found it last week, and came to love it so much. The song reflects on the memories of romance, and the...really bittersweet times that once existed. It's more about looking back at it in hindsight, rather truly regret in the end.
This song took the shortest amount of time that I have ever arranged. I somehow managed to speed arrange this in 5 hours. All the ideas naturally flowed in my head and in the end, I was very happy with it.
I was really worried if I couldn't practise this efficiently enough so that I can finish it in a week. However, after 5 days of practising, here are the results! (this video). I'm really surprised that I managed to finish this so quickly :cries: and I am really glad that this could be released.
Some notes of the arrangement itself:
In 0:39, I introduced a mini three hand section. The right hand pattern (F sharp, G, D), foreshadows the later accompaniment notes in the pre-chorus (0:57). Playing this three-hand part is a little tricky, especially with the rhythms between the right hand and the left hand.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE PLAYING THE PRECHORUS (0:57). It is really satisfying, especially with the low bass notes, and the twinkling right hand pattern. I think this is my favourite part of the arrangement.
At 1:15, I really adore the melody of this chorus. You can really feel the emotions throughout this song. I've also tried to replicate the rhythm of the drums on the left hand.
At 1:45, THIS JUMP IS LIKE, HARD TO GET DOWN CONSISTENTLY. It's basically almost a blind jump (and so as 3:06)
In 1:45, cool electric guitar part. truly a bop.
At 2:03, I could imagine the broken-up couple singing to each other in imagination and in a reflection-like way. Singing about the pain, hoping that one can understand each other. You can see this in how I arranged this part, like a "call and response." They finally come to an understanding at 2:18 when the lower and upper voices play in unison, "think[ing] [they] do".
At 2:20, is a cool instrumental part, with the vocals showing off (man her voice sounds really full and resonant). I tried replicate this run through the arpeggios going downwards (2:27), as she sings "yEAHHHHEAHHH".
At 3:05, this was literally the first idea that came to me. I don't know why, but hey, it seems to work HAHA. Very fun and satisfying to play.
In the end (3:22), the voices unite again, and I added a cute little countermelody on the higher register in the end just to finish it off.
Well, that's about it! I hope you guys enjoyed the arrangement (and the read if you did)!!
The next upload (hopefully) will be "Tracking that Dream", by YOASOBI. It's by the far the hardest arrangement I have done, but it's taking a while. Stay in tuned for that!
With that said, I hope to see you guys next year (2024) ! Again, apologies for the crappy upload schedule this year, I am really trying my best.
Anyways~ see you guys next time!
    sam.
