- Scenic drone clips and cinematic clips of the town of Mahahual in Mexico and the state of Quintana Roo. I had been in Bacalar for a week but took the bus up to Mahahual and enjoyed the nice beach town in Riviera Maya close to the Great Maya Reef and the border of Belize. I had previously been in all the most famous places in Quintana Roo and Yucatan including cancun, isla mujeres, playa del carmen, akumal, tulum and many more places.
Now I was finally in Mahahual and I truly enjoyed the town to the fullest.

I just got back from Cozumel and I always have an amazing experience. This time was actually the best because of the fact that the sea life was flourishing from getting a break from humans. I go alone and always have a happy safe time! I am going back soon for a lengthy amount of time.

I loved the there! We drove down from Tulum and was surprised. It’s a sleepy beach town but the way the shopping and actives are setup on the beach is amazing. Not commercialized yet which was so nice. Great prices!

Great video. I can’t wait to visit that area of Mexico. When I first started going to the Yucatán in 1982 that was about the size of Playa Del Carmen! I prefer the smaller less known places and it’s actually great now with no cruise ships. You stayed in an Airbnb?
Tell me about it. We stayed in Playa del Carmen in 2001 and it was still okay. We stayed at the then Real Playa Del Carmen which is now Panama Joe's. That was at the north end of town at that time. We return to Playa del Carmen in 2019 and we were fortunately staying a little north of town. The town itself is overdeveloped and has lost its charm. Where we stayed in 2001 the beach is completely eroded and deteriorated. So mahahual looks like it is still okay. You should also check out Xcalak which is south of mahahual just about at the Belize border. It's the End of Line, probably pretty difficult to get to. We almost stayed there a few years ago. It looks beautiful. Probably worth the effort. See you there!

Just watched this William, thank you. We were in that cruise port in January and we will be stopping there again this year. When there we walked out of the cruise compound and up the road to a Mayan temple replica, contemplated going into town but decided to head back toward the ship. This year I think we might take a bus or taxi into this town and have a look around, maybe spend some time at the beach. Cheers🍻

I think right now would be a good time to Travel to Mexico Small crowds .Business are wanting your business and you can't forget the exchange rate .If you exchange your USA $$$ Dollars into Mexican Pesos your already ahead of the game .
Yes a US dollar is about 22 pesos now. Still very high! It's a good time to go to Mexico now!

Loved your Mahahual video. Definitely need to add it to my list to visit in Riviera Maya. You need to try the food the tricycle vendors sell, they are way cheaper in price and very delicious, I make it a point to stop even if we're on a taxi ride and if i see one of the tricycle vendors.We are definitely stopping.

We we supposed to gonto Xcalak but were advised the federal checkpoint did not want to authorize the reservations we had there due to current red light conditions.
Did you get questioned at all on the ADO ? We have our own car here and only speak some Spanish

NO it seems like the ADO busses go just like normal. No questions, and the colectivo also go like normal all the way from Cancun and down to Chetumal, stopping in Puerto Morelos, Playa Del Carmen, Akumal, Puerto Aventuras, Tulum, Bacalar and Chetumal

Also if you are staying a few nights and the ship come in. Identified yourself with the hotel key to get Mexican prices, since you are not just passing by for the day. ATM is at Mexico lindo hotel and money exchange is at the south’s end of the block of hotel Mexico lindo. There your turn left and you’ll see the money exchange place. On your right side looking at the beach.

I cant remember the name but it was the main restaurant there the name was something that said "lobster" You will see advertisements for it there. It was the biggest restaurant

We are going to be in Playa Del Carmen from Aug.3-10. Super excited. Question, was that video recent? If so I did'nt notice any one wearing masks. Is it that free and easy in Mahahual?
I go every year. I dont recomend playa del Carmen. You can take the bus AND visit many cenotes AND pyramids from there. Tulum Is nice Also. Whatever you do dont miss out On visiting the Uxmal pyramids, youll never forget It.
@@warneringles3129 thanks for your thoughts. I was in Playa Del Carmen 2 years ago. That will simply be our hub close to the beach and 5 minutes from our favorite dive shop.
Yes there are many places up and down the coast I'd like to see.Last time we did several Cenotes, the Talum ruins. Cozemel drift dive and swam with whale sharks.
This time we will dive 4-5 straight days with Ronnie.
I may return Sept and stay for several months

You can take the bus from Cancun also but I think flying to Chetumal is also a great option!

Yes the weather is a bit bad now in the rainy season. Better to go between December and May!
