I'm Unitarian and Pagan, I recently found a Unitarian church in my nearest city that I started to go to, I live out in the county and the majority of churches are Catholic or Protestant out here and I didn't feel comfortable going to them as I'm queer and trans. I'm really happy that I found a church that accepts me and that I'm safe in. I grew up Christian and didn't have a real connection to my Sri Lankan culture, I grew up saying ''auntie and uncle'', we say this instead of Mr Smith or Mrs Smith, it's how we show respect. I've started to learn about Sri Lanka recently and I hope I'll be able to have a traditional wedding one day as that's something I dreamed about as a kid.
I'm 22, Catholic, American. I was born and raised Catholic but made the decision to live my faith more deeply when I was 20. It's been the best decision of my life. I'm studying business and am in my fifth and final year of college. I'm discovering my style and trying to dress more modestly, which has been a fun experiment and journey. I actually have known about your channel since I was a junior in high school, but somehow lost your channel until a few years ago. As other channels I loved for years changed into something I couldn't love to watch anymore (or maybe I changed too), your channel has stayed honest, especially in regards to trends and fashion. I love to see your faith in your videos because it reminds me of my own Catholic traditions and devotions, and you set a beautiful example for the women following along your journey. You've reminded me to thank God for everything (which I know I should do but often forget) which is something I can do through frequent prayer.

Hii, I’m 22y, Brazilian 🇧🇷 and I am catholic! I was born into the religion and by that I mean that I met God through my mom and was baptized an all but my parents weren’t really actively in church. So when I turned 17 I decided that I wanted to get deeper into it and haven’t stopped since! Nowadays it’s the thing I dedicate most of my time to other than college and it makes me really happy. I found your channel because of the thrifting videos but it was the way that you live your faith and raise your daughters that made me a fan! Also wanted to share that I am on the path to dressing more modestly as well and it’s very exciting to see someone who is young and also loves fashion and have that same goal ❤

Hey Haley! Have you tried looking at the rug with your back facing the mirror? It can be a direction thing depending on the angle you are looking at it. We have a rug at home and it does the same thing: it looks lighter looking on one end and looks darker looking at the other end. Hope this helps!

if I'm being honest the entire reason I subscribed is because of your faith and family values ❤ the fact that you thrift, cook and decorate are all just added bonuses. I am a believer and grew up in a Bible based faith environment. Even though our faiths may vary a bit I love that you shared your morning routine! I too wake up everyone morning and the first thing I do is give thanks, read a book (currently Roman's chapter 5) and just listen to what the Lord has for me that day 😊 I love you, and your family I believe it's not about converting people but living your life as an example and letting your light shine ✨ and you do this in every video!! Haley, Today is the first time your channel was recommended in my feed. I’m a an old/young 🤣 60ish American Jewish woman, and my mother was a holocaust survivor. I have a lot of Israeli relatives, as does my husband, and our two grandchildren were born in Israel. In the turmoil we are living through today….I can’t tell you how seeing a young jewish woman, with such a beautiful family, honoring our religion brought tears to my eyes. I’m going to binge watch from the beginning, and look forward to watching your family going forward. BTW: Your husband’s Hebrew is pretty good😂🙏❤️❤️❤️
I’m Roman Catholic and practice very faithfully. In learning more about my religion and practicing it, I’ve come to learn how many similar things we have with the Jewish faith bc Christianity is derived from Judaism. I even took Judaism courses in college and had the opportunity to attend service at a synagogue with our professor. Last year we went on a pilgrimage to Israel, specifically Jerusalem, and I absolutely loved it. So my heart hurts with all that is going on over there. Thank you for sharing about your religion. As a practicing Catholic, I also do morning prayer (called lauds) and many other daily prayers that also make everyday life more intentional and makes me feel gratitude for things in life. 🩵

Hey! The reason the rug looks like that is because of the weave. When you’re seeing it in the mirror you’re viewing it from a different angle and so the grain is different. Same with some fabrics like satin where when it looks the same front and back but once you put it on a 45 degree angle it’s darker! Magic of fabric and weaves! (For context I make costumes for a living) 😅
@@HaleysCornerr the only way it would’ve worked would be if you placed it at a different angle but I don’t think it would fit lengthways! At least you know for next time when buying a new rug to look at it from all angles. Also remember to turn your rugs every once in a while as rugs in high traffic areas could change the direction the pile sits, and so it’ll change the way the light reflects on it, which will change the colour! :)

You’re so observant I love it! So it’s a few reasons really 😅 1. In our last house we have the tv mounted in front of the couch and honestly? We just barley used it! I don’t remember having a time where we just chilled on the couch and watched a movie lately 😅 busy time haha. I love showing shows/movies and usually watch on my phone as I go about my daily tasks! 2. We actually find alot of value in reducing screen time especially for the girls and not having all our furniture pointed towards the tv and just having this sole focus that a tv is the centre of it all if that makes sense! We try to opt for spending more quality time with them doing activists as we have the capability to do so! No judgment so mamas that allow screen time often! We’ve all got to do what we have to do sometimes 😂 I get it hehe ❤

And it’s really interesting to see how the practice of religion may have looked like in early times. It’s very inspiring to get closer to my faith and a little more down to the simple things and values

Haley, Today is the first time your channel was recommended in my feed. I’m a an old/young 🤣 60ish American Jewish woman, and my mother was a holocaust survivor. I have a lot of Israeli relatives, as does my husband, and our two grandchildren were born in Israel. In the turmoil we are living through today….I can’t tell you how seeing a young jewish woman, with such a beautiful family, honoring our religion brought tears to my eyes. I’m going to binge watch from the beginning, and look forward to watching your family going forward. BTW: Your husband’s Hebrew is pretty good😂🙏❤️❤️❤️
I’m Roman Catholic and practice very faithfully. In learning more about my religion and practicing it, I’ve come to learn how many similar things we have with the Jewish faith bc Christianity is derived from Judaism. I even took Judaism courses in college and had the opportunity to attend service at a synagogue with our professor. Last year we went on a pilgrimage to Israel, specifically Jerusalem, and I absolutely loved it. So my heart hurts with all that is going on over there. Thank you for sharing about your religion. As a practicing Catholic, I also do morning prayer (called lauds) and many other daily prayers that also make everyday life more intentional and makes me feel gratitude for things in life. 🩵

Hey! The reason the rug looks like that is because of the weave. When you’re seeing it in the mirror you’re viewing it from a different angle and so the grain is different. Same with some fabrics like satin where when it looks the same front and back but once you put it on a 45 degree angle it’s darker! Magic of fabric and weaves! (For context I make costumes for a living) 😅

@@HaleysCornerr the only way it would’ve worked would be if you placed it at a different angle but I don’t think it would fit lengthways! At least you know for next time when buying a new rug to look at it from all angles. Also remember to turn your rugs every once in a while as rugs in high traffic areas could change the direction the pile sits, and so it’ll change the way the light reflects on it, which will change the colour! :)

You’re so observant I love it! So it’s a few reasons really 😅
1. In our last house we have the tv mounted in front of the couch and honestly? We just barley used it! I don’t remember having a time where we just chilled on the couch and watched a movie lately 😅 busy time haha. I love showing shows/movies and usually watch on my phone as I go about my daily tasks!
2. We actually find alot of value in reducing screen time especially for the girls and not having all our furniture pointed towards the tv and just having this sole focus that a tv is the centre of it all if that makes sense! We try to opt for spending more quality time with them doing activists as we have the capability to do so! No judgment so mamas that allow screen time often! We’ve all got to do what we have to do sometimes 😂 I get it hehe ❤
