    Hi there, I just stumbled upon your videos having just picked up traditional archery this year. Just wanted to say I really enjoy them and the way you host them. Ignore the haters and keep doing what you do it's appreciated.

    Hi Jim
    Came across your video's through merlin archery.
    Just had to say no I don't do archery.
    Not yet anyway.
    But listening to you talking about the people who say negative things about traditional archery in one of your previous video's . Just let them get on with it , they haven't got any thing else better to do. Doesn't matter what hobby / sport you do there will always be people like them out there.
    Ps love your video's.
    And to see you out with your friends having fun it's what it's all
    about .
    And nice shooting.
    Regards Paul

    Hi Jim, I have a question for yourself or anybody else who is interested,.. Does the NFAS consider a "thumb ring" as used thousands of years ago as a "release aid?" And which category.. bb, ht, fs etc do they fall into.

    Jim - It seems you like the Striker Sport and Classic over your Bodnik Signature Stick? How come? Does the Bodnik not meet 3D Worlds requirements and rules. Performance issues. Please explain. Thanks!

    • @icryostorm3727
      @icryostorm3727 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      i dont believe he can use it in the competition

    • @jeffbullseye5637
      @jeffbullseye5637 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Specifically why? Bodnik deflex reflex design (string touch limb) vs. a basic D-bow shape? Wood grain beauty marks that may help one aim better and potentially cheat during competition or just another bow chosen? Thank you.

    • @FishingWithBradders
      @FishingWithBradders 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      JeffBullseye there is decoration on the belly of the bow, on the signature stick, they deem that possible to be used as a sighting aid.

    Jim, why do you say you can't use a quiver with that bow? Do you mean there is a physical characteristic of that bow that prohibits the use of a quiver? Or were you referring to not being able to use a quiver for Worlds??

    • @ArcheryAdventures
      @ArcheryAdventures  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Caleb Wright not being able to use one at the world... :( but I get my boy back tonight and the first thing I'm doing is slipping on the old Selway ;)

    Hi! Great video! I know I’m two years late, but just a question regarding the WA rules for longbow. Isn’t a 58” bow a bit short for competing in the longbow class? Or did you use it in the instinctive class? :-)

    •  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ll have to take back my question. Heard in the video after you competed in another class. :-)

    • @ArcheryAdventures
      @ArcheryAdventures  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jonas Hellsén that’s correct. I shot a longbow in the instinctive class 😅

    •  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Archery Adventures Then you should still be proud. As you said, the “instinctive” class mostly shoot GAP-shooting, with 3 piece recurves and arrow rests and s**t...:-) I used to shoot in that class with my WhiteFeather/Uukha recurve, but from the shelf, instinctively with split finger and glove. At best that gave me a forth place in the National Championship here in Sweden (Field archery). I now gone completely to the longbow class with wooden arrows and my beloved Black Widow longbow. It’s somehow soooo much more fun when you hit instinctively. I don’t think you can compare that feeling with anything in the archery world. Anyhow, have a lovely evening! Of to do some archery blogging. :-)

    Another great video Grizzly. I'm slowly getting up to date with your videos which I learn something from from everyone.
    I have arthritis in most areas of my body so will never get up to 50lb bows but looking at 35lb AFB which with my 30" draw length should make it around 39lb. Do you think this will be OK for field, 3d and stumping. Looking at the Bear Paw black foot as it is a very smooth draw. Would love to know what you think.

    Good luck in the world's Jim.
    Quick question if that's alright. I'm quite inexperienced, but got the impression, the shorter a bow is, the harder it is to shoot consistently accurately. If I'm wrong, could you set me straight please? If I'm right, why are you taking such a short bow to a competition please?

    • @ArcheryAdventures
      @ArcheryAdventures  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're not wrong buddy... short bows do tend to be a little twitcher. But at the end of the day it's just all about what works for you :)

    • @8ballali
      @8ballali 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. Bought an original SF axiom riser in the hope it helps me if I decide to try a barebow competition sometime.
      I figured it might help me against people that are probably using that sort of equipment. My current bow is a ragim black bear. Extremely light as well as short. Shoulder been playing up too, so I will be able to lower draw weight easily in small stages of I have to.
      I think I will sell the black bear now I know.
      Thanks for the reply.
