I LOOOOOVE From the Underground and Below. I feel like that's the album that they found a modern part of themselves. If you listen to the modern breakdowns they have, that's basically what FTUAB was.
From the Underground And Below is killer….they have some great songs and crushing riffs on that one. I was surprised to see it’s the last ranked album on this video. Immortalis for me is the least favorite Overkill album. My top 5 are 1. Years of Decay 2. Horroscope 3. Ironbound 4. Bloodletting 5. Under The Influence

@@trevertravis8963 Load and Reload are great. Try being more open-minded - just because something isn't thrash or traditional metal doesn't mean that it's not good.
@@thrashgod1189 I liked Load and Reload. They could have done another the next year and called it Overload but they didn't. Not one praises them for that. So unfair ;)
1. Horrorscope 2. The Killing Kind (I’m surprised this is usually low on people’s lists) 3. The Years of Decay 4. Under the Influence 5. From the Underground and Below 6. Killbox 13 7. Bloodletting 8. ReliXIV 9. The Grinding Wheel (was disappointing initially, but going back, it’s better than I remembered; still a bit long though) 10. White Devil Armory 11. Immortalis 12. Necroshine (the only Overkill record I don’t like) Overkill is my favorite thrash metal band. I've got to listen to their entire discography sometime, after all, I still haven't checked out Feel the Fire, Taking Over, I Hear Black, W.F.O., Ironbound, The Electric Age, or The Wings of War, but I heard great things about them.
Taking Over is fucking great - I didn't like the band that much until I heard that album. Big Metallica influence on this album, and a youthful kick-ass energy and attitude.
One day WFO will finally get it's due, but unfortunately it's not today. The three albums with Gant and Cannavino really brought the twin guitar attack to the fore in a modern way (after the single guitar output of the entire previous catalog from Gustafson) and this was the culmination of all that had been learned and worked on. WFO is simply bursting with riffs, of all varieties but it never skips a beat (except for the short breather on RIP). It's progressive, complex and melodic as well as relentless. In fact it's such a shock (and a shame in my view) on the following album (Killing Kind) with it's far more simple approach that I am lead to believe that Gant and Cannavino must have had more impact on the songwriting than the credits allow. Perhaps their employment was contingent on giving up writing rights. But the change from WFO to From The Underground is so drastic, I simply refuse to believe the same person that wrote something as harmonically dense as "The Wait A New High In Lows" is behind the basic approach of "From The Underground. I get that From The Underground dropped just as nu metal was getting going (therefore complex, fast and intricate guitar parts were on the outer) but for mine it's a shame they went with this totally different approach after all they achieved on the Horroscope / I Hear Black / WFO trilogy, especially WFO of course. WFO is their best in my opinion, which is really something because the never miss.
It is SO nice to hear a deep, well thought out perspective on all of these classic metal bands and their albums. I have VERY little Overkill exposure and appreciation and now I'm digging into their discography with a new passion and zeal! So thank you so much for making this happen and I'm excited to see what you rank next! See you on the next one :D *Edit* If I'm going to suggest an artist to rank, it would likely be Annihilator they're like Megadeth with only one true guiding vision and their material has varied WILDLY!
@@RuthlessMetalYT Deeply welcome! Was lurking for a couple weeks but I've been subscribed for a month now and look forward to every post. Keep it coming :D
@@thrashgod1189 I understand your point, but Jeff Waters was and is the driving vision behind the band and I think they've had some VERY exciting music as a result of all of the different members influences.
Been waiting for this one! Whatever else you want to say, Overkill has incredible consistency. They've never had a truly "bad" album. There's no God Hates Us All here or Risk here. When you buy an Overkill album you know what you're getting before you even put it on, and you know that at minimum there's going to be a high standard of quality maintained there. Oh yeah, and Years of Decay is the best - the very variety that doesn't appeal to you is what makes that album great. Plus props to them for still killing it year after year. There's no 5 year waits between albums like you get with most veteran bands. They're still delivering the goods, year in, year out. Overkill > Your Favorite Band!
Idk..I really liked God Hates Us All. I THOUGHT I really liked Risk but then I gave a it a listen for the first time in years and I was like, “why did I like this album again?”
I agree with your rankings apart from the top 5. I'd personally have :- 1. Taking Over 2. Under the influence 3. Feel the fire 4. Years of decay 5. Horrorscope Classic era is definitely the best though.
I'm of the mindset that whenever you get into a band that has been around for a while, you should always just go in order of album releases. It gives you the opportunity to hear the bands growth as musicians.
Hello again! Yes Overkill has been around for the better part of 40 years with a lengthy discography. Another one of those 2nd Big Four of US Thrash and kick ass as well! Here is my ranking for them. Also can you do some Canadian bands like Razor, Voivod, Annihilator, Sacrifice, etc next? Thanks Brother, you're doing a very good job with these rankings ever since they took off. 1. Feel the Fire 2. Taking Over 3. The Years of Decay 4. Horrorscope 5. Under The Influence 6. Ironbound 7. The Killing Kind 8. The Electric Age 9. White Devil Armory 10. The Grinding Wheel 11. I Hear Black 12. W.F.O. 13. The Wings of War 14. Killbox 13 15. RelixIV 16. Immortalis 17, From the Underground and Below 18. Bloodletting 19. Necroshine I always go back to the classics though when I listen to Overkill, with a few of the better modern day Overkill at times when listening to this band. I think they are one of the only bands beside Megadeth in the thrash genre that has more than 15, close to 20 albums in their discography.
I'll admit, I really haven't listened to much Overkill after Under the Influence, so all I can say is that Feel the Fire is one of the best debut thrash albums ever, right up there with Kill'em All, Show No Mercy, Fistfull of Metal, The Ultra Violence, etc., and Taking Over is solid as hell. Two great albums that are still on regular rotation with me. Keep it up with these videos! I love'em! \m/
1. Feel the Fire 2. The Years of Decay 3. Horrorscope 4. Taking Over 5. Under the Influence Overkill is a top 5 thrash band of all time imo with some of the coolest album covers I’ve ever seen
Awesome ranking. Ironbound is one of Overkill's best from their later years. I Hear Black was the first album i heard by them. Different, but quite good. Nice job with those ranking videos.
My favorite album is From The Underground And Below. I think its because i got that album back when it came out while i was getting into Overkill. So i have a lot of nostalgia with it.
Under the Influence is super underrated by most people, glad to see it made your top 5 at least. Funnily enough, the most popular track from that album (Hello From the Gutter) is my least favorite and the only one I occasionally skip. Every other track is a total banger, and I definitely prefer Bobbie's voice in this one compared to the previous two albums. Also, Overkill makes great doom tracks. Skullkrusher, The Grinding Wheel, Horrorscope etc. are all amazing bangers. Also, can you please do a video on Manilla Road? They are my favorite band by far and it's criminal how unknown and underrated they are. Anything to raise their popularity would be a great plus.
The thing that I think some people have an issue with UTI over is the mix. It was recorded live off the floor with the solos added later. They did it old school.
I only know the old stuff, but Horrorscope was always my favorite by far, solid all the way through. It seemed like most of their albums would have a few corny songs that dragged things down for me. I had no idea they had a renaissance after 2010, I'll have to check out some of their newer work.
Horrorscope is what got me into Overkill, but Ironbound is my go to when I need some thrash. That album IMO is up there with some of the best thrash albums of all time. I know Im in the minority but I prefer the middle years over the early stuff. I'm older (49) so maybe they sound dated to me. But I love them all. Oddly enough, your bottom of the list albums are all the ones I still need and are harder to find. I also read somewhere that Bobby Blitz said FTUAB was his favorite Overkill album. Great vid.
Yay! Overkill, Finally😀!!! Thank you! Taking Over will always be my no. 1 too! Everything just so came together on that record! Horrorscope is my second though! It is anthem driven like Taking Over!
Our lists are very much different. I appreciate their groovier/heavier era since they had a tendency to delve back more into their punk roots along with thrash and more modern sounds. 1. The Years of Decay 2. Taking Over 3. Horrorscope 4. Necroshine 5. Feel the Fire 6. ReliXIV 7. White Devil Armory 8. Under the Influence 9. I Hear Black 10. Immortal15 11. From the Underground and Below 12. The Electric Age 13. Killbox13 14. The Wings of War 15. Bloodletting 16. The Grinding Wheel 17. Ironbound 18. The Killing Kind 19. WFO 20. Coverkill
I serve at the army GR, 9 months, 275 days. Now I have 4 more months to serve (127 days). Every second day you post videos. Keep me company man. Those videos make me relax and avoid the pressure.
Once again I couldn’t agree more with your number 1. I recently started to dig into overkill’s discography and when I put on “taking over” it was just amazing. Such a perfect thrash record. I was listening to it at work and I was like “damn this album is just killing it”.
I think Overkill treats the covers album, Coverkill, as a regular studio album rather than their debut EP. That gets you to the numbering scheme of Killbox 13 and ReliXIV.
Prior to late last year, I didn't own a single Overkill album. One night I got drunk and bought their entire discography (both box sets that span 1986-2007, the Feel The Fire/F You and Then Some comp, and the latest 2010-2019 albums, plus the latest live album). Working my way chronologically, I just finished the '90s. Holy shit, what a band. Kicking myself for waiting so long to get into them. Can't wait to hear the rest, I'll have a ranking after.
Had no idea they’ve released so many albums. I’ve got some listening to do. Years of Decay is my current favorite. I’m gonna listen to some of their newer stuff based on your list. Nice video, you consistently put out entertaining content.
Overkill are famously prolific. Not only do they release albums fairly frequently, but the quality of the material doesn't fall from album to album. One of the most underrated bands out there.
I agree on the list you have put together. My favorite is Taking over. But to hear them years later and reinvent themselves on Ironbound and sound better than ever was truly awesome. And keep going for the next releases was cool.Great band good times. No rest till Social Security for these Thrashers. Definetly looking forward to the new release. Thx RM🤘😎✌
From the Underground and Below, a fucking masterpiece! My top 5, depending on the day and my mood. 1. Years of Decay 2. Horrorscope 3. Ironbound 4. From the Underground 5. Taking Over. Thanks for your list fellow Earthdog!
Again you took the words right out of my mouth. Although I always see every thrash/speed/heavy band I can live when they come to town, for recorded albums, I had written off Overkill after WTO. Once again I see that I am not necessarily biased in favor of the illustrious Taking Over [With FTF right on its heels]. Thank you for giving me some pointers to check out some newer Overkill. I guess you could say I’m iron bound, lol [English pun,’ bound’ meaning that it is the target of my destination like Vienna bound or concert bound].
Give this video a thumbs up great rank em all I agree with all your rankings but the killing kind is growing on me also for some reason I think you should do annihilator or nuclear assault sometime
I personally didn't really like the first 2 albums as much, as D.D. hadn't gotten his signature clank bass tone, but I still think they're top 5 material. I also have an ENORMOUS soft spot for The Years of Decay, as it was the first metal album I ever bought with my own money, and my third ever album I ever bought (my first 2 albums were Love Pump and Kansas' Greatest Hits.)
So we completely disagree on Overkill and Anthrax, but that's just another reason why I like watching your videos so much. I like hearing those kinds of opinions on bands I love, different perspectives and opinions are refreshing, after all.
Great list, mine would have the same general flow as yours. Do Kreator, Artillery, or Paradox. Or do a megalist of all the smaller Bay Area bands with only a few albums like Forbidden, Heathen, Vio-Lence, Possessed, Blind Illusion, Sadus, Defiance
Overkill were my first concert, on The Years Of Decay tour in 1990. The show was nothing short of awesome, the venue was packed and the floor was a giant mosh pit. I can see why they replaced Bobby Gustafson with two guitar players - he could really shred!
01 - Taking over 02 - Feel the fire 03 - The years of decay 04 - Iron bound 05 - I hear black 06 - The electric Age 07 - Horrorscope 08 - Under the influence 09 - killbox XIII 10 - White devil armory 11 - The grinding wheel 12 - wings of war 13 - W.F.O 14 - Necroshine 15 - Bloodletting 16 - From the underground and below 17 - The killing kind 18 - Relixiv 19 - Immortalis Probably, this order will change along the years, because there are some of this albums that I need to listen more times.
Yeeessssss!!!!!!! "Taking Over" is number 1!!!!!!! That was the first Overkill album I ever bought, and I have been chasing that experience ever since. Overkill is one of my favorites, and "Taking Over" is just so hard to top.
Also I’ve always considered Coverkill as a studio album personally. I think a covers album can be a studio album personally if it’s newly recorded, but I understand the alternative argument Maybe it’s just an excuse to listen to THE BEST cover album of all time
Horrorscope is my favorite Overkill album, and one of my favorite albums of all time. If I hav to choose only one Thrash album I will choose Horrorscope, I like it more than any big four albums.
Wow, Rank Em All Overkill looks great. But we can't wait the metal bands we can rank probably outside US or probably more bands in US. Feel the Fire Ruthless Metal🔥🔥🔥🔥🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🔥🔥🔥🔥
Fortunately, we disagree. I'm not just searching for the classic oldschool tunes in the overkill catalog. I'm very glad that they did some of the great heavy stuff like 80 cycles, little bit o' murder, burn you down... Dig a lot!
My Ranking of Overkill, My 2nd Favorite Thrash Metal Band. 19 - Bloodletting 18 - ReliXIV 17 - Immortalis 16 - Necroshine 15 - I hear Black 14 - The Killing Kind 13 - The Grinding Wheel 12 - From the Underground and Below 11 - W.F.O. 10 - The Wings of War 9 - Killbox 13 8 - White Devil Armory 7 - Ironbound 6 - The Electric Age 5 - Under the Influence 4 - Horrorscope 3 - The Years of Decay 2 - Taking Over 1 - Feel the Fire I don't really know where to put the EP at.
A few surprises here... To be honest, my opinions of FTUAB and the Killing Kind might be unfair because I rarely listen to them... maybe I should give them a spin or two and see if my memory is not wrong!!!
@@chrisconlan751 I can get with that. It's above on my ranking too. I've got a real soft spot for it. First off, the production is awesome on that one. It's one of Blitz's best performance too... he screams up a storm on that one. Devil by the Tail, Damned, Sound of Dying and Struck Down are all great fun!
Big fan of overkill! Awesome video aswell \m/ speaking of overkill,I have a video about the rat skates former drummer of overkill in a documentary called Born in the basement \m/
I never got into Overkill because of Blitz's voice, but listening to Taking Over right now I should reconsider. Killer album. Could you do Amorphis next? I know it's not Thrash or Death Metal but they have a damn interesting discography with some stile changes (not as bad as In Flames though).
Oh man was I waiting for this one! Overkill is my favourite band and I dare to say that I make a great Blitz impersonation vocal wise lol I had a feeling this one would be a band where I'd disagree with you because my taste has been said to be weird plenty of times. 19 - From the Underground and Below 18 - The Killing Kind 17 - Immortalis 16 - Relixiv 15 - Necroshrine 14 - I Hear Black 13 - Bloodletting 12 - WFO 11 - The Wings of War 10 - White Devil Armory 9 - The Grinding Wheel 8 - Killbox 13 7 - Under the Influence 6 - Feel the Fire 5 - Taking Over 4 - The Electric Age 3 - Ironbound 2 - Horrorscope 1 - Years of Decay
OverKill for me was always just one of those bands that seemed to escape my attention. None of my friends would really say listen to "this" or strongly suggested them. I never got around to personally purchasing or owning any of their albums. Of course there was that one kid with that "Years of Decay" T- Shirt. One night while watching MTV's Headbangers Ball I got to see "Hello From the Gutter" I had one friend who used to lend me his cassettes and we would hang out at each others house listening to everything thrash and heavy Metal. One day I was going through his collection and there it was Overkill "Years of Decay" I was like, how is this, is this any Good? He was like, I like them, but go ahead give it a listen. Trying to remember today my memory is a little hazy, I mean I listened to the whole album, but sadly nothing caught my attention as far as any of the tracks like being anything close as a Masterpiece. "Time to Kill" and "Elimination" are Alright. The Songs could be better and the lyrics were always silly. However Bobby does have a great voice. I wouldn't give Overkill another try till "Horrorscope" Coma and definitely Horrorscope are the best tracks. Just thee other day though I watched the video for "Goddamn Trouble." Hey Perhaps Overkill did predict Covid-19 in their Song "Elimination." Thank you. Great video Ruthless Metal. Brings back a lot of Memories. 🤘
I remember buying Under The Influence in the summer of 1988. I had no idea this was going to become such a favourite band of mine. I got each subsequent album upon release and Overkill was the only metal band I kept listening to for decades, having dropped off the scene completely to focus on classical. To me, these guys were the heirs of Black Sabbath. The Years of Decay and Horrorscope did that. I was disappointed with I Hear Black, too soft to my taste in spite of undeniable qualities. For two long years, the spirit seemed to have gone away, but W.F.O. fixed everything and pushed further. I was never disappointed again. Love them.
I just listened to From The Underground And Below for the first time and I changed my mind about The Years Of Decay - this one is now my new favorite Overkill album. Totally fucking killer catchy wicked heavy groove riffs mixed with thrash and some really cool and interesting instrumental parts (like that awesome bass solo in Half Past Dead) and arrangements. Also, Bobby's vocals are really varied. It's a shame your so closed-minded about heavy music (namely anything that has groove) - you're missing out on a lot of great stuff.
Nice video, although I was kinda disappointed not to see The Years Of Decay in the #1 spot...but that's ok :) other albums I like from the band are Taking Over, Feel The Fire, Under The Influence, Horrorscope, Immortalis, Ironbound and White Devil Armory...I also liked the albums I didn't mention but not as much as the ones I mentioned...
I'd Have to say 1.Horrorscope, 2.Under the Influence, 3.Years o Decay, 4. White Devil Armory, 5. I Hear Black Been listening to them since '86 & they're Still my fave band, Goin to see em live March 11th (5th time) can't wait...

I agree with this ranking in very large parts, especially with the raking of the 3 eras (1. Classic era, 2. Recent era, 3. middle era). And I guess most of us know that 1993-2007 was not exactly a glorious era of classic thrash, although I think that W.F.O. was surprisingly good, especially after I hear Black. My ranking is the following: 1.Feel The Fire (clearly and doubtlessly!!) 2.Taking Over 3.Horrorscope 4.The Electric Age 5.The years Of Decay 6.Ironbound 7.White Devil Armory 8.Under The Influence 9.W.F.O. 10.The Grinding Wheel 11.The Wings Of War The other albums I dont like and dont care about.
I felt a little pushy and off in the weeds when I commented a request for a Rank 'Em All for Carcass, but now I see I was addressing the exact man for the job.
I'm always interested in hearing what people think I should cover but i won't always give people what they want. I rarely listen to anything more extreme than thrash metal so I wouldnt be the right man to rank their catalogue. Cheers!
My favorite Overkill Albums are Horrorscope and Tracks that i loved is Coma, Blood Money, Horrorscope, Bare Bones, New Machine, Solitude, Live Young, Die Free and Nice Day... For A Funeral. Load and Reload are great. Try being more open-minded - just because something isn't thrash or traditional metal doesn't mean that it's not good.

Overkill is my favorite thrash metal band. I've got to listen to their entire discography sometime, after all, I still haven't checked out Feel the Fire, Taking Over, I Hear Black, W.F.O., Ironbound, The Electric Age, or The Wings of War, but I heard great things about them.
I thought it was the worst for a long time, but maybe it's not their worst album. haha Cheers!
@@RuthlessMetalYT Your first impression was right, it's their worst. ;-)
Overkill wrecking your neck live deserves a mention.
Taking Over is fucking great - I didn't like the band that much until I heard that album. Big Metallica influence on this album, and a youthful kick-ass energy and attitude.
Horroscope definitely number 1
WFO had a strange production, the bass is just insane.
From their '90s albums, I have to go Horrorscope, but for me WFO is a close second. Really strong album.
After W.F.O both guitarists got replaced thats why late 90's albums were terrible
If it make you feel any better it’s in my top 5 lmao
It is SO nice to hear a deep, well thought out perspective on all of these classic metal bands and their albums. I have VERY little Overkill exposure and appreciation and now I'm digging into their discography with a new passion and zeal! So thank you so much for making this happen and I'm excited to see what you rank next! See you on the next one :D
*Edit*
If I'm going to suggest an artist to rank, it would likely be Annihilator they're like Megadeth with only one true guiding vision and their material has varied WILDLY!
Thank you Sir. I appreciate it. 💚🖤💚🖤💚🖤
@@RuthlessMetalYT Deeply welcome! Was lurking for a couple weeks but I've been subscribed for a month now and look forward to every post. Keep it coming :D
I second that, an Annihilator ranking would be cool! I’m only familiar with their first couple of albums.
Annihilator changed singers and other band members too often - they never had a consistent sound. Can't get into them.
Overkill > Your Favorite Band!
necroshine and from the underground and below is almost on that god hates us all level. ;)
Completely agree. Overkill is the most consistent reliable thrash metal band of all time, if not the best....
The Years Of Decay is the closest they came to Metallica Master Of Puppets level greatness, which very few thrash metal bands reach.
Idk..I really liked God Hates Us All. I THOUGHT I really liked Risk but then I gave a it a listen for the first time in years and I was like, “why did I like this album again?”
I agree with your rankings apart from the top 5. I'd personally have :-
1. Taking Over
2. Under the influence
3. Feel the fire
4. Years of decay
5. Horrorscope
Classic era is definitely the best though.
Cheers!
I've been trying to get into Overkill since some days ago and I think this video will be very helpful to start with their best records
I'm of the mindset that whenever you get into a band that has been around for a while, you should always just go in order of album releases. It gives you the opportunity to hear the bands growth as musicians.
Thanks for doing this!! Overkill is so underrated, I think. One of my faves.
underrated? I thought everyone loved Overkill. ;)
@@RuthlessMetalYT thanks for keeping metal alive

Hello again! Yes Overkill has been around for the better part of 40 years with a lengthy discography. Another one of those 2nd Big Four of US Thrash and kick ass as well! Here is my ranking for them. Also can you do some Canadian bands like Razor, Voivod, Annihilator, Sacrifice, etc next? Thanks Brother, you're doing a very good job with these rankings ever since they took off.
1. Feel the Fire
2. Taking Over
3. The Years of Decay
4. Horrorscope
5. Under The Influence
6. Ironbound
7. The Killing Kind
8. The Electric Age

14. Killbox 13
15. RelixIV
16. Immortalis
17, From the Underground and Below
18. Bloodletting
19. Necroshine
I always go back to the classics though when I listen to Overkill, with a few of the better modern day Overkill at times when listening to this band. I think they are one of the only bands beside Megadeth in the thrash genre that has more than 15, close to 20 albums in their discography.
yeah I'll probably do some Canadian stuff in the future as well. :)
I love'em! \m/

Feel the fire has to be one of the best thrash metal debut albums ever imo.
Awesome ranking. Ironbound is one of Overkill's best from their later years. I Hear Black was the first album i heard by them. Different, but quite good. Nice job with those ranking videos.
thanks boss
Taking over is highly underated!!! Between TO and TYOD are my favorites. My mood will change #1 daily. Bro, your killing it on these videos 🤘
thanks boss, Cheers!
My favorite album is From The Underground And Below. I think its because i got that album back when it came out while i was getting into Overkill. So i have a lot of nostalgia with it.
💚🖤💚🖤💚🖤💚🖤💚🖤
For me it's definitely in the top 5, great stuff.
I probably will some day.
Great vid.
51 and same Horrorscope was my first also.
Feel the Fire, Taking Over, Under the Influence, The Years of Decay and Horrorscope are classics
💚🖤💚🖤💚🖤
Definitely, but the Gustafson-era albums are the best.

Once again I couldn’t agree more with your number 1. I recently started to dig into overkill’s discography and when I put on “taking over” it was just amazing. Such a perfect thrash record. I was listening to it at work and I was like “damn this album is just killing it”.

Thank you!! I like how you gave higher rankings to some of Overkill's more recent albums.
yeah, some are pretty good.
Great stuff Ruthless! These rankings are so hard to make, many of these bands kick lots of ass!
true, cheers!
I think Overkill treats the covers album, Coverkill, as a regular studio album rather than their debut EP. That gets you to the numbering scheme of Killbox 13 and ReliXIV.
Cheers!
The 90's was their worst period, the 80's stuff is legendary!

Overkill are famously prolific. Not only do they release albums fairly frequently, but the quality of the material doesn't fall from album to album. One of the most underrated bands out there.

Horrorscope takes the number 1 for me hands down.
Overkill were my first concert, on The Years Of Decay tour in 1990. The show was nothing short of awesome, the venue was packed and the floor was a giant mosh pit. I can see why they replaced Bobby Gustafson with two guitar players - he could really shred!

OverKill for me was always just one of those bands that seemed to escape my attention. None of my friends would really say listen to "this" or strongly suggested them.
I never got around to personally purchasing or owning any of their albums.
Of course there was that one kid with that "Years of Decay" T- Shirt.
One night while watching MTV's Headbangers Ball I got to see "Hello From the Gutter"
I had one friend who used to lend me his cassettes and we would hang out at each others house listening to everything thrash and heavy Metal.
Just thee other day though I watched the video for "Goddamn Trouble." Hey Perhaps Overkill did predict Covid-19 in their Song "Elimination."

I Hear Black is also great.
they have an overall good discography but some of those groovy 90s albums are kinda skippable. ;)
I think the early material is a bit more straight forward than the years of decay.
Great, great, great...cheers! 🍻
🍻🍻
A Napalm Death Ranking would be interesting :)
I've hardly even listened to them. :)
@@RuthlessMetalYT fair enough :)
Alright you DID overkill awesome!
thanks boss
Taking Over is my favorite as well! Followed by Horrorscope, which was one of the greatest Thrash Metal albums of the terrible 90s!
good stuff!
Yes! Overkill, next state over! Absolutely Taking Over!
I'd Have to say 1.Horrorscope, 2.Under the Influence, 3.Years o Decay, 4. White Devil Armory, 5. I Hear Black Been listening to them since '86 & they're Still my fave band, Goin to see em live March 11th (5th time) can't wait...
Yes, definitely one of the top thrash acts. Have fun! Cheers!
From 1 to 6 are definitely the best records. Good work.
Overkill is an awesome band to see live. My favorites are Under the Influence, W.F.O. and Horrorscope. I want to try to find The Years if Decay and Feel the Fire.
💚🖤💚🖤💚🖤💚🖤
I saw overkill with death angel. Awesome show. I’m going to a show in New York in a couple months and it’s going to be death angel testament and exodus. I can’t wait.
Great List, The Electric Age is criminally underrated imo. Sodom next please and Thrash On!
1- Taking Over
2- Horrorscope
3- The Years of Decay
4- W.F.O.
5- From The Underground and Below
6- Under the Influence
7- Killbox 13
8- Ironbound
9- Necroshine
10- Feel the Fire
11- The Wings of War

The Best Thrash Metal band of all time!
My ranking is the following:
1.Feel The Fire (clearly and doubtlessly!!)
2.Taking Over
3.Horrorscope
4.The Electric Age
5.The years Of Decay
6.Ironbound
7.White Devil Armory
8.Under The Influence
9.W.F.O.
10.The Grinding Wheel
11.The Wings Of War
The other albums I dont like and dont care about.
Cheers!
My top 5 for Overkill would be
5)Ironbound
4)Taking Over
3)Feel the Fire
2)Years of Decay
1)Under the Influence
Horrorscope needs to be number three. BUT FINALLY SOMEBODY BESIDES ME WHO THINKS UNDER THE INFLUENCE IS A MASTERPIECE!
Taking Over, un disco que disfruté bastante en su momento, bestial. Un saludo.
saludos
I love the early stuff of Overkill including Horrorscope.
