Many thanks, strange that I have never realised there was this tool specifically for gimbal calibration, and it's already 6 months old and there are so many people complaining about jello on Zino Mini Pro and trying to change PID parameters and even hardware changes to fix it but never heard about this tool before.. Will have to try it for sure ;)
Interesting, on the second step the gimbal turns slightly left and shakes, slightly right and shakes, rotate clock wise and shakes, rotates anti-clock wise and shakes (until now it seems to never reach the end of course) but when it tilts up, (just like your video at 9:47) it seems to bump on end of course and then tries again to bump to most up position bumping again at end of course... I wonder if is this the desired operation or a bug...
And... and... the ZMP & ZMSE have slightly different gimbal covers... They fit but definitely slightly different. In my 1st ZMP video I mention how frustrating that cover is.. Thanks.
Hello All good I really liked your video. On my Ace Pro drone the Gyro calibration message appears Calibration failed. Could you tell me what could be going on?
The Hubsan Tool App is a funny beast. Sometimes it would not work if I had another Hubsan App on the same phone or device. Try another cable and try just connecting the phone first and wait for the green icon to appear. Then connect the drone. I had to play with it a bit at first. It's like anything Hubsan... hit and miss stuff!
@@TerjeNormann : I watched the video again... At the 4:40 mark starts the sequence. When you plug in your phone, does the App start up?*** I see you already answered that question. If the Hubsan Tool App does not find your controller when you plug it in powered up.. Then it is beyond my knowledge. I can only suggest try a different device. Sorry.
Hubsan removed it from the Play Store. They said for safety reasons. But APKPURE has it (download site for most all APK programs ). Or email Hubsan and they will give you access.
I have tried, but unfortunately I seem to have made a mistake. I had slight wobbles in the videos and so I tried the tool. However, after calibration, the gimbal is now permanently crooked (about 45°) . Is there any way to correct the position of the gimbal again? I have already tried all calibrations in both apps - without success.
Watch the video closely. o not touch the gimbal until after you start the process. The gimbal should have no resistance what so ever when you move it. If you touch it before you start you will get resistance. Also.. remember to take the battery out of the craft after you finish and then put it back in when ready to use. Also, do not do the App gimbal calibrations. Only do what is necessary like if asked to do a compass calibration. I just re did my old gimbal and it worked much better
Also.. if you have had the woble (jello) since day one it most likely is a hardware issue. Some have said that ND filters help as the added weight makes the gimbal work more effectively.
@@GorillamansGarage Not being able to do a regular gimbal calibration via the app sounds ridiculous. Maybe not doing the “Advanced Gimbal Calibration” in the XHubsan 2 app sounds more like it. But as far as the simple gimbal calibration, there should not be any issues using this as it’s available in the app for a reason. I always do all calibrations (gimbal, IMU, horizontal, compass) after doing any firmware upgrades and it would work fine. But this new 1.1.5 firmware version seems like it has some issues when it comes to the gimbal calibration. Everything was working perfectly fine prior to this recent firmware upgrade.
@@DroneSyndrome i know it sounds counter productive.. but try it. I changed out my gimbal 4 times and did over 2 dozen flights and tried every calibration sequence. Just doing the hubsan tool helped.
Here is a video that I hope explains it. QC Guy works on Hubsan repairs (or used to) and the error codes are still the same. The 0X2000 code relates to a cable issue from the gimbal to the main board... have a look. It may be that the cable just came loose and needs to be seated again.. it may be a bad cable. Have a look... th-cam.com/video/ljNJusJP6MQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=dvguuFiB6XYD4rvk
Is that the one that shows up in the Hubsan Tool upper right ? I have had that and I had to go through the start up sequence again.. I turn in the controller.. wait 10 -15 seconds.. then plug into phone... wait for the green controller icon.. then turn on the drone.
I just made a calibration with this tool on my Zino Mini Pro using a Google Pixel 2 and at first it was not showing the connection to the remote, but I killed the X-Hubsan 2 app as well as this app and reopened it and it did connect right away, so maybe when you have the X-Hubsan 2 app installed it will connect to remote and the calibration tool app can't use the connection. Now on my phone whenever I connect the remote it will show me a popup to choose which app I want to use.
Fine job 🙏
I found out that, if you do this calibration... do not do the Advanced Gimbal Calibration in the App. It screws it all up.
thanks for the vid very helpful
Glad it helped

Did you try it, and did it fix or improve your gimbals performance?
great video!!!
Thank you!!

The tolerances of the gimbal cover drives me nuts taking it off and putting it on. That's for the tips and show.

Hello
All good
I really liked your video. On my Ace Pro drone the Gyro calibration message appears Calibration failed. Could you tell me what could be going on?
I have had that a few times and had to repeat it a few times. The system is very sensitive.
I downloaded this app and connected my phone to the Hubsan Zino controller. But the app does not find and connect to the controller.
Any sugestions?

is there a link to the calibration tool for the Zino to download onto my laptop? I can´t find it

hello, how can i get this app?
Hmmm... I do have a coffee fund... 🤷♂️😊.. Or pop over to apkpure and download it... Or email Hubsan Support and they can send it to you.
thanks for the tip, if you ever come to Brazil, I'll buy you a coffee or a beer👍

Yep... I suggested only using the Hubsan Toll by itself. I have done a lot of testing after ... its no better than the old one.
