I have to play this as a test to get into a professional school where I've been wanting so much to study. I have less than one month and I only know the basics of marimba. I'm so fucked XD At least I am pretty good playing snare and timbales
So the girl that played this for District submissions from our high school used 240s, but there’s this purple and black mallet with a hardness of F2 she used for State. ( I can’t find the brands since they’ve rubbed off. I’m sorry. ) hope that helps.
@@owenorr532 playing this at tempo requires good chops my guy. Of course any one with decent experience would say this. And nothing? Can anyone just blatantly make a rhetoric without the criticism of a different being?
@@ludwigvanbeethoven8058 No. You can’t just make a rhetoric without the criticism of another being. That’s not how TH-cam works. Thats besides the point. From what you said, it looks like you have a big ego, just because you played this piece your second year which doesn’t need to be said, nor does it mean anything at all
@@owenorr532 maybe you don’t know your amendments. Of course that flew over your head. And no I don’t have a big ego... all I legit said was basically just YAAY I had to play this early in my music career lol. You’re putting too much effort and thought behind it buddy pall chum
I have to learn this piece in a bit less than 4 days.... Fun.
Me too
I'm not required to learn it but my band director gave me 5 pieces, played them for me and told me to just play some of them. Imma focus on this one
I learned it in 1 you got this
I'm pretty sure the coda starts where the waltz would when after da capo
He started it a bit early
Other than that, great performance!
Dominkó Levente you get a very nice sound on the instrument. This is not always the case!

Haha I did this solo when I was a freshman in high school and went to state
Did u make it?
U make it?
@@bdnelsupremo7666 I did it! Now my concern is the audition for university!
Now playing Reflections on the Nature of Water - Jacob Druckman. It's incredible what 3 years of practice do to you
Some kid played this at my concert and i hate him he was sooo gooodddd
Where was it
Isn't the coda supposed to start pianissimo and have a crescendo until the D minor arpeggios and then decrease again?
Can we get a slower version I just wanna listen and vibe to the piece
Put it in X.75 speed

Skills
I am a freshman and I am playing this in competition help😭🙏
I like how I learned this in my second year of percussion
Cool. It’s not a hard solo so I don’t know what you’re trying to accomplish by “flexing” like that

You also wouldn’t expect those chops from someone in 7th grade and just got onto marimba that year either.
