Is THIS Canada’s WORST Airline? | Toronto to Vancouver | Flair Airlines | Boeing 737 MAX 8

- Flair Airlines has become the juggernaut of low-cost travel in Canada since their inception in 2005. They started off as a charter airline, and have slowly built up their low-cost brand for cheap flights to, from, and within Canada. In today’s video, I tested out their domestic service flying flying across the country from Toronto to Vancouver. What was it like? Was it really as bad as some may say, or was the flight problem-free? Watch the video to find out, and make sure to leave a like and subscribe if you haven’t already!

10:33 Bro is enjoying his flair flight a lil too much lmao
SUPSNAIL?
Hi
fr
Fr
Supersnailboy!
I'm a frequent flyer and have been buffeted about by most major carriers. It's odd, that of all the times I have flown Flair, to Kelowna, to Fort Lauderdale, to Vancouver etc. etc. their flights have been on time and the inflight service very pleasant. I think they are doing a great job and seeing as what they have to put up with from our two major carriers, they have blossomed and are establishing themselves as a low-cost carrier. Like any low-cost airline, follow the rules, know what to expect and you will not be disappointed. Bravo Flair, keep up the good work.
I agree on all those points, you fly low cost, you know what you are getting into and should not be disappointed. My first flight and return home went perfectly. They did however cancel another flight on me the day before and it took a long time to get a refund. That as my last flight with them.
I have a question do they make u pay for snacks
People complain because they want 1st class service with Emirates for $150.... Canadians need to be educated on what a low cost flight is, you pay that price don't expect anything other than a seat. They'll bill you for everything else, which makes sense..... Nice video !
Ice 711 is willing to do whatever it takes to entertain us, even if it takes going on a mid airline. Thank you for the information
No problem! Love giving these honest reviews.
@@ice711real Good afternoon from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I've never flown flair before, so it's great getting to know what they are like. Personally, I've been aboard westjet, air canada, korean air, asiana airlines, and jeju airlines.
@@ice711real bro I have a great idea for merch if u ever do it. You send out a model plane every month (secret) along with like a sticker/ other aviation related item.
Let’s take a minute to appreciate Ice traveling, booking flights, and spending hours editing just to give us some content. W 🗿❤
Greatly appreciate comments like these :)
W ice (heres some free snacks btw 🥛🍿🍱)
Gotta love it when ice 711 uploads

Even more to come soon ;)
@@ice711real YEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY
i was here whit a q400 aircanada now im in montreal quebec
@@ice711realI am late sorry
Respect to ice for going on a lot of airlines for our likeness :)
Glad you appreciate the variety :)
@@ice711real :)
I want Lynx air back😑
It was too young to die.
We need more low cost carriers in Canada
Thanks to the comments on this video, I think I cured my nervousness with being a first-time flier alone, have so much built-up anxiousness and kind of scared, but coming here and watching this video is helping a bit.
So, thank you Ice and comment section.
Glad you found use of it! Enjoy your flight ✈️
I flew Edmonton to Vegas last month. Plane was a little tight for leg room, but overall wasn't a bad experience. I'd fly Flair again.
This is probably the best airline review on TH-cam!
Good Job Ice!
Haha despite the few errors in this video, thank you so much!
I’ve flown flair four times before I have no complaints. all flights left in time arrive on time or early but one flight left half hour late from Kitchener to Vancouver but arrived early got a good jet stream 😊 smooth landings too
Nice review. Thanks. The flight seems decent and for a lower price.
My nephew and his family flew with Flair to and from Puerto Vallarta and they were very satisfied they had no complaints.
Flair saved our bacon 2 years ago when West Jet (WJ) canceled our flight while we were waiting to board US bound. Once we were advised of the cancelation and marched out through customs we attempted to contact WJ but placed on hold, no one was there. No alternative flights were offered by WJ. Luckily we found a flight on Flair the next day. This week we had to cancel WJ due to potential strike. Flair is our last remaining true low cost airline. Flying Flair is no worse than the other airlines, they can all leave you behind.
Flew on flair on 21st July 2024 from Calgary to Toronto on FLAIR 737 max 8 C-FKLO amazing experience with flair with very smooth landing I will fly it again once I’m in Canada 😊
My experience: Stranded me in Orlando. Could either wait for 3 days for a possibility to get on the next flight, or get a refund. Took the refund and paid 4x the price for a last minute ticket on another airline. There were people stranded there who'd already been waiting for 3 days. Zero communication to passengers.
Flew on them in march 2023 other than a 1 hour delay coming out of Toronto (to be expected when flying out of Pearson) and my flight and seat feeling crammed because it was full. However at the end of the day I am
6”1 so most seats feel crammed but the flight really wasn’t that bad 7/10
Pearson is the culprit in most airlines reviews..from landing fees to other issues.
bro's risking his life for content 💀jk my fav aircraft design of all time is 737s. I feel sad to see the max aircrafts having failures and bad rep 😢
Oh hey my favourite plane is also the 737
But I prefer the NGs than the max
Yeah i like the 737 800 ng than the 737 max 8 but its just my opinion so dont get mad. If you like ng you are cool classics, max also cool.
@@captain_basfr I’m only 13 but have already flown on the 737-800 more than 20 times. It’s also the only plane ever flew on in my entire life. I fly with XiamenAir just to Fuzhou and back to Singapore to visit my grandparents fyi
Bruh i am going on it today
I personally prefer the 757 and A321neo.
thanks for sharing the experience in this video. I have yet to fly flair but have always liked their pricing and though it too good to be true thinking you are giving up quality and comfort for cheap price. Maybe will have the courage to give it a try one day.
Decent flight for an airline that has horrible reviews. Great job again, thanks for going through (no) pain and showing us Flair's service!
insert vine boom sound effect every time the briefing says safety (737 max🥶)
Yeah the 737 max has safety procedures in order to ensure it’s a safe plane
I've only been on Flair once and it was absolutely perfect. I'm worried Flair is the only economical airline left so prices might rise if they haven't already. Thank you Flair and Swoop for allowing me to explore Canada on a budget.
Hey I have had a nice experience with flair back last year, this was a soothing and good experience. It works great. Especially with the cheaper prices and decent cost.
Thanks Ice 711. I`m flying Flair Toronto to Victoria in early June. Good to know what to expect. So far so good.
0:28 train content 😮
Nice video like always
I’ve flown them only once, but had an experience just like yours, on-time flight, efficient and polite service, decent space and good price, so what else can we ask for? In contrast, my last 5 flights with Air Canada I had 4 long delays and one cancellation, all of them with rude flight attendants. I don’t even bother with them anymore
Great video as always ice! love to see you checking out more canadian airlines 😊
3:44 i think someone has vioated 💀
i love when ice711 uploads a video.
Ice is the GOAT for trying these thingz so we don't got to
Lovely video as always! The airline reviews are always my favorite! 🎉
Glad you enjoy them, more to come soon this year!
@@ice711real nice!
I appreciate Ice711 that you are now taking interest in Canadian airlines, I am a big Canada fan. And I don't know why people give so low reviews on low cost airlines because in the end, it gets you to where you wan't to go.
Glad you guys enjoy the variety! Even more Canadian content to come this year, and hopefully some more international content soon…
Hey i was there just a week ago and boy isn't canada nice! I also railfanned the up express and went planespotting at Toronto pearson and got some grate catches!
Nice man!
@@ice711real I went planespotting at Toronto for my 1k subscribers special and I did see a flair!
Flown several times with Flair, they aren't any worse than Air Canada for service. They have financial issues which could cause them interruptions. These days any airline is a gamble.
5:05 Bro The Little Air Canada Express Plane Though!
SO CUTE!
Little-ish? They’re 75 seaters.
I had a great fight with flair. From lift off to landing. Great
Flair isn't so bad after all. Nice flight and, oh, man, the culinary review of the Ramen noodles was way up there with the best of food critics!
Can’t tell if this is sarcastic or not lol
This trip report was probably my favorite. You didn't fly on a major airline and still had a good experience! Loved the engine view :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
We have flown twice with Flair airline and paid extra for the front row seats. Both times they had given them to someone else. We had to speak to the airline to get a refund for both flights, but we did get the refund very quickly. If they can get that straightened out then I have no problem with the airline.
Nice flight and review! Thats also pretty cool you flew over where I live in Vernon BC, I can clearly see my house and where I work from your video! Neat stuff!! I have flown on the Max myself and have no issues with that aircraft at all, those Leap engines sure are quiet 737 Whisper liner :)
Wow, that’s awesome to hear you’re from Vernon! The MAX is indeed fairly impressive, thanks for watching :D
I have always been hesitant to fly with them due to their reputation but since Covid things have gotten better for flair and porter, maybe they can actually make a good run at it this time. It’s hard to rely on them when you have another connecting flight same day in case but I’m hoping soon to give them a shot
Pov Bonza rn 😭 aip:"guess what" bonza:"what" AIP:"hippity hoppity your aircraft are now my property"bonza:😳😭😭😭😭😭
Canada looks amazing ngl
Awesome Vid! Keep the great content up!
TARTAR SAUCE
Much appreciated :)
This is a wonderful video, thank you so much for sharing! The views of the Rockies are spectacular, I enjoy them as much as my actual time spent in Vancouver. And your landing approach is beautiful, you would have flown over Iona Regional Beach, which has a jetty that goes about 4 km into the water. Stand at the right spot and the planes fly right over! Always fun to wave planes in for a safe landing! Thanks for your great work!
Thanks for watching man, glad you enjoyed!
Never been there but looks awesome
I love your channel, probably my favorite!
Your channel is really nice. Really enjoyed the video. Dont mind me saying this...but there are a few spelling mistakes in the video. I never saw any mistakes in your video...maybe thats what made it even more noticeable. However, mistakes can happen. Cheers!😊😊🎉
Thanks for watching!
great trip report again, just getting better :)
They have definitely improved since they first started that’s for sure. Their flights don’t get cancelled as it used too. Of course there is definitely and always room for improvement but that goes for all airlines. I’d personally want to travel cheap and just get from Point A - B then this is the airline to go and the money I save I can go on a few more vacations. That’s just me. It’s a no fuss airline simple as that. Don’t expect too much other than getting to your destination.
0:58 those flooring give me memories when I traveled to Japan when I was 6
Spirit of Canada
Now that’s funny
Wsg ice? Once tried to send art into your channel just because I knew how good it was. You doin’ well
I both hate and love the 737 MAX bc of safety but from the cabin and outside looking is just beautiful (especially the old Icelandair ones)
It’s definitely a cool looking plane
Can you plss fly to yhz- Halifax stanfeild international airport (great vid btw)
No airline is “the worst airline,” but the airline may have some flaws that will give it a bad reputation. Great video though!
Bro really out here risking his life on a max for content 🗣️🗣️🗣️nah but massive w review always awesome when you upload one, interesting the amount of stuff they had for buy on board. Views were just 🤩 and it’s cool to see the diversity of Canadian aviation
Thx for watching brothah, risked my life fr on this one
12:08 lol that Chinese guy hugging the chair
Porter is just better 🔥
Great video as always Ice!
Lol thanks
Wake up babe! A new video by ICE711 has uploaded!!
Lets give This man An Applause Because He needs It.
I took Flair from Kelowna to Calgary and I didn't think it was necessarily good, but not bad either. It took me to my destination and back with no issue. But it was practically what you'd expect from a budget airline. The seats were quite crammed and I was stuck besides some random elderly couple and felt way too packed in with them lmao.
Another great video 👍
blud started small and then four years later is travelling the world to entertain us
time flies :)
Sure does ;)
Nah bro but tbh you are the kindest youtuber ever
Thanks my guy
If anyone is complaining about Flair giving competition to AC and WS, you seriously need help. As long as they get you across Canada for less than $400, that is a game changer. The other two don't know how to stop gauging customers.
I have flown a bunch between YYZ and YVR. Overall it doesn't really matter the airline you fly, a much more important aspect is the aircraft. When presented with the oppurtunity its usually best to fly on Air Canada's A330. 2-4-2 plus 18 inch seat width is generally the best config.
We gotta get more of these
Vancouver? So close, yet so far... this is really the first time I've seen a good flair experience on TH-cam
Took flair to mexico...plane went up, plane came down, same as any other. I had no complaints.
I'm getting anxious just listening to the revs on take off
HUGE props to Ice711 for probably spending hours to make content for us to enjoy.
Especially with flight reviews, like this one
Thanks for the support!
Also loved the porter q400 review a couple weeks back.
Awesome views I really enjoyed watching how many Affiliated Airlines does Canada have I know it's flare WestJet air Transat Rogue?
Loving the flight reviews!
Love the narration to your video.
Thank you a lot mate!
few with them twice along with the none exsisting swoop. Honestly for the cheap airlines all I cared about was being on time and they did deliever just that. However, the horror stories are all from when your flight gets cancelled or when there is engine issues and they cant get another plane since their fleet is so small, thats when your wish you went with another airline.
I am South Korean and I am really enjoying your videos because it is fun and very informative one day i hope you can fly Asiana airlines to South Korea and fly other low cost airlines there and compare it to US or Canadas. Thank you very much for your videos!!
Thanks for watching! Would love to visit your beautiful country sometime 🇰🇷
I flew from Toronto to Halifax and all went well. On my way back, Flair made me pay for my backpack. That's how they rob you.
I just learnt that I’m going on a flight next year!
Not sure where tho
I love your videos bro keep on going
These are the best types of vids defo should do more
I love the Max for it's lower noise and fantastic windows compared to the legacy NG. I flew with Westjet on this plane a couple weeks ago.
my first ever VOD from him
Bro went on the worst airline just for a video, now that’s dedication 👍
Honestly, it wasn’t that bad for me I flew once from SFO to YVR
Nice pfp lol
I like that part when you got on the train to the airport
Great video. I’ll try Flair sometime 👍👍👍
I flew Flair twice. It costs like $60 to add an extra bag so thats annoying. Our flight was a round trip from Saskatoon (YXE) to Toronto (YYZ) and a small cheese pizza costs like $11 man lmao
Flair and max 8 .gives me the willies just thinking about it
Ice is on a roll here
I come from Vancouver nice Chanel ❤
Yeah, it's a nice flight but the walk back is gonna be wicked!
Really good video here. I wish the camera focused better on prices for the menu items. I was interested in seeing the options and costs . And I am sorry if I missed the time , in air , from Toronto to Vancouver
No issues from yyz to ysj & back. They sell a nice craft beer on board 👍
11:11 that's a fork.
Man I am stupid.
@@ice711real 🤣
good video ice ♥
I love your videos keep it up❤💪
Most complaints revolve around delays and cancellations. That's a general airline issue though.
I’ve flown on flair myself from Ottawa to Halifax. Honestly it wasn’t that bad, Customer service though is terrible.
I love these type of videos. (Also I'm also new to aviation arts and you haven't seen my art for a while before)
