You should know that the music of the song "Janam dekh lo mit gayi Duriya" was composed by Madam Mohan was used in that movie 30 years after his death. He was a real music director much ahead of his time. I would request you to do a special show on him. If you want I could give you list of his work yearwise.

Actually Madan Mohan sahab composed 3-4 tunes for that song and one of them was used and rest were kept for future use. So it was used after 30 years of Madan Mohan sahab's death. Its very strange sometimes to hear Latas vocals in the late 40s/early 50s.. When she first started, she used to try and copy the style at the time, so she used quite a nasal affectation sometimes (you can hear it especially in the 1949 song here "Barsaat Mein").... I'd say mid/late 50s is when she drops that and starts singing with her full, real voice.
Everyone who started in the 40s used to sing nasally. That was the trend back then. It took many years for Lata, Rafi and Mukesh to break free of that and develop their own styles.

I suspect it was because of the theatre that preceded cinema, where you would have to be loud for the entire live audience to hear you, and nasal voice is naturally louder than throat voice.

It is indeed a remake of "When Harry Met Sally". And the director Imtiaz Ali intentionally kept the title similar to his previous film, "Jab We Met".

I watched Animal as Ranbir was in it, didn't know anything beforehand. Had I known I would not have.......it was soooooo bloody, violent, filled with rage, revenge, etc., etc.
Guys! Its hilarious that you haven't seen any movie of Salman Khan (aka the Eros Now guy). Bollywood is really incomplete for anyone without his movies. Do check my top recommendation, 'Tere Naam' It is a musical masterpiece, and also check out his blockbusters, 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan', 'Bodyguard', 'Mene pyaar kiya', 'Tiger' and more.

As a Ranbir Kapoor fan.. Animal's album is average, got hyped just becz of movie... ADHM, barfi, jagga jasoos, YJHD, etc so many beautiful albums are in Ranbir's career
No matter how many people unjustifiably hate K3g and Kuch kuch hota hai. I, as a 00s kid, can never avoid these films. These films built the fashion, the style of an entire era. The influence these films had was amazing. Poo's entry was the real feminist move of that era. Female actresses normally didn't wear clothes like her. She was the one who started the trend. And the pairing of SRKajol is a blessing to eyes. Their chemistry can burn the screen. There is NO better actor than srk in romantic roles. No matter how much we criticize bollywood now, the fact will remain a fact that bollywood's style of romance really warms our hearts. Even yesterday, KKHH was being telecasted, I couldn't leave the sweet chance of watching the chemistry between the Trio and enjoying the songs.

Animal is a little too violent, true...but the performances of Ranbir Kappoor, Anil Kapoor even Rashmika Mandanna and Tripti Dimri were awesome. Bobby Deol expressed so much without saying a word...i really enjoyed it. I got bored at the prolonged action/violent scenes but...that's what the movie was about.
