I ran sportsman B at this race. 2nd off the start, moved into first quick, made it to the second mile marker and pulled off… i wasn’t going to blow up a brand new 300sx, lol bike was puking coolant out the over flow, guess i should’ve invested in rad fans.
@@chrisvanway i just raced this past Sundays penton, ended up getting the holeshot in warrior class (and was awarded hometown hero award) and led almost the whole race, a lapper took me out on my 4th lap and ended up 6th in my class and 84th out of 200. Honestly, was worse this year vs last.
New Sub. Beautiful start. It was hell out there for sure. Very nice throttle control. ...which was critical for this race course. What ae you riding ? At 10:35 I think you shoulda took the early chance, when it presented itself, and rode right over that rear fender. I've been in both positions and have done both. Yeah, if you weren't' on the gas it was like your brakes were on.
Thanks for the comment. I am a 60+ rider on a KTM 350 XCF. I seriously thought about going right over the rear fender but I had just seen so many riders take similar risk and make the situation worse, I decided to wait just a bit. It was terrible out there, I was going to quit after one lap unless I was in 1st or 2nd. When I came through he scoring I was never so disappointed to see I was in second! The next lap was brutal. I think I burnt my motor.
When you stalled at 2:00 mins you stalled on my foot. I was right behind you in the rut!!! Lol
😅

Pulling off was a smart move. I finished the race but completely destroyed my engine. Had to get an entirely new engine.

@@chrisvanway I blew my motor about 3 minutes form the end of the second lap!
You keep your clutch lever that high so you don’t use it?
looks like hes running a auto clutch
I am using a rear hand brake so the clutch lever is up out of the way. I rarely use it since I have a Rekcluse clutch.
Congratulations on the 2nd place finish! I was at this race and saw your holeshot! Awesome to see it on gopro!!
Thanks! I was hoping I could turn that holeshot into a win but the track conditions said different!
46:24 that front tire looks miserable! Never seen mud that tacky!
Yes! It was like trying to ride with the front brake on!
what the heck is this!?
dirt bike racing
I was thinking the same thing! I signed up for a cross country dirt bike race and ended up doing a Hard Enduro!
How is that even fun?
I was thinking the same thing!!
