The Recruiter caught a slight break for once, well at least until a Damned Legionaire phases in into his office ;-) Also I am still hoping he gets to meet a poor Lamenter just so he can hear what a "bad day" can be like, maybe he can buy the poor Lamenter a drink or 10 afterwards.
So I don't really know what my intention was with this. I was playing around with new tools, styles and only had a basic idea with no script. So this is the result... Also, I'm reading my way through the first few Horus Heresy books right now so some of you may be able to tell what my interpretation of the Legion of the Damned is. Anyway, hope you guys enjoy whatever this is!
Hey i liked your execution of the idea. Your concept was good if this is the result. did you have fun or learn anything from trying out new tools? P.S. Do you think that you will include the 501'st veteran or the recruiter's other coworkers in future skits?
@@henrypaleveda7760Glad you liked it. Yeah, I learned a lot about editing and mocap with this one. The first part was just still images but the part at the end with the stormtroopers was motion capture. It was a little rough but it was my first time doing it so it's to be expected. My plan is to get a good work flow down with mocap so I don't have to spend so long animating. Hopefully it'll speed up the production process so you guys don't have to wait so long for the next video. As for bringing the vet back I hadn't really thought about it but I could see myself including him again if I thought it made sense. No one has commented on it so I'm not sure anyone noticed his voice was actually AI. It took some finessing but I think it turned out rather well.
*Iron Warrior seeking to join the Empire…* Stormtrooper: “Okay, so what horrifying shit do you do?” Iron Warrior: “I stuffed a literal daemon into a Dreadnought and used it as cannon fodder.” Stormtrooper: *processing* “…Your hired. Are you married to the iconography, paint job, skulls, and spikes?” Iron Warrior: “They are what make me and my brothers within the legion who we are. Iron within, and Iron without. Just like our father before us.” Stormtrooper: “Okay, that’s fine.” “Wait, did you say “our father”? As in you all have the same dad?” Iorn Warrior: “Yes. Our father… Perturabo; The Hammer of Olympia, Lord Or Iron, Son of The Emperor, master of the 4th legion, Primarch of the Iron Warriors, ruler of Medrengard. He is our gene-father, and our master. We serve him and his every whim. In spite of being a massive asshole to us.” Stormtrooper: “I’m sorry, he what?” Iron Warrior: “Yes, once he demoted Dantioch, one of our absolute best, be his own admission, for failing to kill the H’rud. I remember once he showed me favor when he spat on me, and like always it only drives us to seek his favor evermore.” Stormtrooper: “…What the Kriff?”
Suddenly I feel very sorry for that Eldar Craftworld that the Legion of the Damned helped attack. Though query on how the Imperium doesn’t attack these guys on sight if this is any indication of what they do?
this new entry to the 501st journal looks super lit. Why didn't battlefront include it? Would have been super hot stuff. Terrible puns and lore jokes aside, nice work, you clearly had fun experimenting with different techniques.
Whether we ever get something official, and even if we did I doubt it'd be anything special with the way Disney acts, for now there are fan works: th-cam.com/video/y5pm-cddO3c/w-d-xo.html
As a matter of fact. Check out AFanWithTooMuchTime. He does a whole radio show on Star Wars vs Warhammer 40,000 where a few space marine chapters accidentally find themselves in the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. It starts out a little amateurish especially with some of the narrator voice acting certain characters but the production quality goes up swiftly and the writing gets really fucking good. Its not an outright stomp towards Star Wars. Everyone is given dignity where appropiate and really dope scenarios happen.
Cut the poor clones some slack... they were mind washed into betraying their comrades, only to live, guilt ridden at a double aging rate with a heavy bag of traumas, abandoned by the same society that they fought to save...
Well, as much as I like clone wars I like the legends version better. Meaning, the clones were conscious of what they were doing carrying out order 66 willingly. Which is what I tried to depict here.
Someone rewatching my old videos is crazy to me. I'm flattered. I have a hard time rewatching them because all I see are mistakes. Though I will admit I have laughed at my own jokes.
Not a very good matchup, despite the fact the Empire can replenish an entire fleet's worth of ships in but a few days, they still couldn't even beat a relatively small group of rice farmers with guns. How could they possibly beat what their Empire is, multiplied by a hundred?
The clones should have told the Marines what order 66 means... and the Legion of the Damned was lucky that Rex wasn't there... his High Ground is to big even for a Space Marine...
That high ground isn't going to do much when your enemies are practically immune to all but the strongest firepower, and there's likely to be 10s of 1000s of them. The Legion of the Damned is said to be the souls of the loyalists slaughtered at the Drop Site Massacre, in which more than 60,000 loyalists died (To my recollection that is of course)
Nah the Legion of the Damned are total dicks here. The clones had chips in their heads controlling them, and were completely unable to resist Order 66. They had it worse than the Jedi, because they had to live with what they had done (and a lot of them fucking loved their Jedi generals) and then had to help build an Empire that phased them out at the earliest convenience, leaving them in the dust. The Legion of the Damned should have gone after Palpatine instead. The clones were the biggest victims of them all
Well, as I've mentioned in another comment these aren't the clones from cannon. I really like the clones from legends who were conscious of what they were doing. Not that I hate the canon version but I do prefer legends. Which is why I used Temuera Morrison's voice for the clone at the end.
Those who were betrayed, avenged those who themselves were betrayed.

When damned legion finds out another betrayal they didn't let it go off easily 😂

The legion of the dammed must have left that clone alive, so he tells the tale as a reminder to those not the betray
Damn. Going from silly gags about wh40k meeting star wars... to a nightmare fuel like this.
Carry on :)
I wonder how the empire recruiter would react to meeting a thousand sons marine? Would he think their a jedi?
He slightly pokes the marine and acts surprised that it disintegrates into a pile of ash
