Suga is genius and thank you for making good explanation for non korean audience it helps a lot also the song is in the right time to give eye opener to everyone.
I really REALLY appreciate your Korean lyric breakdowns in English BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE IS DOING IT 😭 GAMSAHABNIDA! 💜🌷 I LOVE YOUR DISCUSSIONS AT THE END!! Thank you so much for speaking about the topic!! PS: The high ranking police Agust D in Haegeum is the straw hat Agust D in Daechwita. Who killed the emperor Agust D. This bottom class Agust D with the scar in turns rose to become the high ranking officer. He too was then killed by yet another version of Agust D in Haegeum. The one WITHOUT A SCAR. The last Agust D left standing. Healed. But perhaps the process will continue since the officer Agust D just sniggered right before he was shot. As if he knew something we don’t. Either way, shedding our former selves is part of personal growth, maturity, and wisdom 🫶 As for those chopsticks: Don’t we all kill to eat?
This is the only reaction video that matters. I love your insight and explanation for us non korean speakers to further understand what the song meant.
Thanks for the response and explanation, I didn't know that haegeum was also an instrument... Do you know what strange thing I noticed? When the bandit dances on the second floor of the apartment it completely replicates the scene from Dwechitta when the emperor dances in the palace. Even the camera angle is the same. What if we were shown the consequences of unlimited freedom from both sides? The emperor's side and the poor man's side. The emperor cut off the heads and the bandit killed two people and stole money (which he then burned and the policeman can't get it back). They both thought they had the right to do so because they were "not slaves." But the policeman is just saying that such "freedom" is self-indulgent, it leads to someone else's deaths. All lyrics - it's their dialogue about what really freedom is it. So I think these works show how important it is to respect someone else's freedom, no matter who you are.
yay! so glad you guys looked into this, this song was perfectly produced & written and all done by yoongi which is amazing but not surprising. I just love that ya'll get as hype to them as I do 😅 The whole album was so good and now I'm even more excited to see him next month. I can't wait to see your interpretations to 'amygdala', I've heard it has a really deep meaning and a lot of symbolism 💜
I was so invested in your reactions, when suddenly Andy said "he said Peekaboo" And then he went back to serious mode like nothing happened, even Jas was so invested she didn't even noticed it....I lost it there😂😂😂
I've been waiting for your reaction since last night. I've been an avid fan coz you guys rock with your raw and deep introspection and reaction. The pun, fun and funny gestures are for the books, too! I lost it when Andy said Peek-a-Boo! 😂 The Fast & Furious quotes are lit! Funny AF, but seriously insane! Really! Agust D should be in a Hollywood movie once and for all. Who cares about Grammys? Give him that Oscar trophy he deserves! He's a philosopher to acts and raps, after all! He spits fire and the bars boggled my mind as well. When Agust D raps, everyone should listen with a heart. Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala are intertwined. This trilogy really makes sense. I saw the Amygdala MV last night, and I can really relate. Can't wait for your reaction. Borahae!
Suga in daechwita have the scar and kill the king(Bad) but in this video, that Suga with the scar became the Bad now, so i think that this Suga without scar is now the real Suga the good and is now killing that old Suga because is turn in to a Bad with the time... Sorry if a can't really Say it rigth i don't know a Lot of English i'm from México but, i think that is the message...💜
I really love this video. It seems like the cop Yoongi is corrupt and has a money laundering/ criminal operation that other Yoongi disrupts and robs. So when the cop hears he hunts him down and threatens him. But other Yoongi burns the money showing he doesn’t want that, he just wanted expose the corruption of the cop. So he gets taken out to nowhere to be taught a lesson to find he had been betrayed by his own people. Pretty cool when paired with the songs message.
I get the sense that Suga is acknowledging his own hubris. Or.. showcasing that he's an inevitable victim to it, even if he's aware of it. This mv mirrored Daechwita in so many ways. In Daechwita, he said he already made it to the top and wanted to finally come down to earth. When he killed the prior king, you get the sense he's going to be better than his former self. When he kills the prior king(the detective) this time, it mirrors him killing off the part of himself he thinks is the problem; like in Daechwita. But that smirk at the end gives off this arrogance like he knows more than his predecessor; not realizing that detective was once the "slave" in Daechwita before he became the corrupt king. And likely another slave to the very things he's constantly battling within himself to separate from. The cycle endlessly repeats. If this is the case, I wonder if Suga is acknowledging the flaw in his prescription for the problem. I think killing the king is what directly puts him on the next cycle for more greed, more vanity, and more misdirection. And maybe that's why Amygdala is him addressing finally what's inside.
Thank you for sharing the meaning of the lyrics. And thank you for talking about some of the deeper issues that plague our world right now. So many people are in so much pain but instead of focusing on themselves they lash out at others. I want to normalize being kind to each other as our first response to negativity but if you can't "kill them with kindness" then next step is stepping out of that situation. Don't go on social media sites that deliver hate, block cruel people, and surround yourself with people that treat you with respect. Love you guys! Love your positivity so much!
4:46 no cause I literally reacted the same way when I saw the scar, y'all are so funny😭 I always love watching korean reactors cause y'all give perfect explanations that only native speakers can give and it's so helpful. Thank you!!💜
Suga has been known to like certain movies. The Dark Knight is one of them. There is a scene of the Joker burning a huge pile of money as he says: “It’s not about the money, it’s about sending a message. Everything burns. All you care about is money. This town deserves a better class of criminal and I’m gonna give it to them. Tell your men they work for me now. This is my city.” It is only my personal opinion, but I think this may have inspired the music video. I thought a about it when someone mentioned Scar Face references about the tub. So went back to the Dark Knight and found this. AgustD also burned the money as well and he sent a powerful message.
Yasss! Have been waiting for this reaction ❤ Have been loving this song but im ready to love it even more after Andy does his deep dive into lyrics soni understand it even better!!! 🤣😁
Omg i’m so late!! totally missed this reaction..blame my failed notifications😒 cant wait to watch and hear your interpretations. Thank you Andy and Jas for always taking the time to help us understand the korean lyrics better. We know artists like suga have deep things to say and the translations out there dont do justice so thank you so much 🥺 love you guys!!!💗
Always appreciate your reaction!!! I totally didn’t know about the part about him questioning himself, that was so cool! Thanks for explaining it to us ❤ can’t wait to watch your reaction on amygdala!!!
you guys became my favorite reactors because you tend to catch things not every reactor can, I also love how you dissect and explain the lyrics for us non Korean armies, aside from that I really enjoy watching your videos because of the funny edits.. :) love you guys..
I like your comments at the end. I heard a long time ago that all anger is fear in disguise. And it seems to me like jealousy, like you talk about, is another form of fear too. Fear of not having what someone else has, fear of being found “less than” for not having what someone else has.
That scene at the end where suga is hanging out the window of the cop car reminds me of the scene in batman where Heather ledger as the joker hangs out the window of the cop car
Guys I love you 😊 I love when you repeat the words of the song and put it on screen, I’m learning too. Love your guys’ relationship too. Amazing ❤ Just so you know there’s so many Daeschita Easter eggs and the joker references (at the end hanging out the police car window).
I have to admit that when I first saw this video, I wonder if the translation would be correct. I still remember some of my learnings of the Korean language and the translation fro. The words I understood were correct. But, Jas and Andy, watching the both of you breaking this down, I have to say that whoever translates the version I watches did a great job. As, I watch and listen to you guys, I was going back to the version I saw. I am so happy that I got a correct version of this video, because Suga is everything!! I listen to his preaching in his songs. They are so deep.
Guys i really ENJOYED your reaction!!! I was freaking out the same way for the whole MV... The word AMAZING it's ridiculous to describe YoonGi on this MV and with the whole work behind it. AUGUST-D it's the best concept eveer. For real😍😍😍
Made it 5 minutes into this and just started ugly laughing. It's so nice to see that I'm not the only one confused trying to keep up- very much appreciate the in-depth explanations btw.
Didn't his lyrics say there's a difference between freedom and self-indulgence? It's no longer exercising freedom of speech when your comments are uncalled for then it becomes self-indulgence when a person wants to hurt others in order to feel good about themselves.
In an interview talking about this video and this topic he said something like " Who are you to tell me at 31 I can't do.." He's a grown man is he not?!
Haegeum being a classical/traditional instrument, when he says this is like a another haegeum, could he be saying (double meaning) that this beat/song is a new/instant classic?
Daecwita's king was fake, he is the policeman who wanted power and that is why he fought with Suga. He is the real king, that is why on his jacket he has a dragon with 6 fingers and Daecwita's only has 5 fingers.
😯 HOW DID I MISS THIS?? 😭 Yoongi asked reactors to text to them in order. Daechwita, haegum, and amygdala. 💕 RM on the phone in the police station 💕 looking forward and hoping you do amygdala but I don't know how that works considering that TH-cam put an age restriction warning on the mv 😢 this is another era of daechwita, same characters different timeline. 🤗
You guys did not react to Amygdala? The last part of the trilogy, after Daechwita and Haegeum? The song and MV I relate the most as a human who goes through mental health issues just like him? That made me feel closer to my idol in a more personal, emotional, humanly way????? I really love and admire you guys but is it coz your audience can't handle the topic they go through on a daily basis but is still treated like taboo? I'm sorry but I'm really disappointed...
Yoongi said that Daechwita, Haegeum and Amygdala are connected it’s a trilogy.
Amygdala should be the first one of the trilogy , right?
Omg the song goes hard!!
@@parkmudi8698no it’s the last heageum is the second one
@@taylorjefferson8716 in daechwita he already have the scar and in haegum he have the scar too but in amygdala he get the scar
@@parkmudi8698 yeah I know but that’s the order, daechwita, haegeum, and amygdala
Andy really like you're lyrical breakdown in your reaction Agust D because you are always trying to make people understand
Thank you🥺🙏❤️
We can appreciate the music more because of your in-depth explanation of the lyrics.. it hits different... thank you for doing this..❤❤❤
Happy we can help in some ways🥹🙏❤️

Haegeum being a classical/traditional instrument, when he says this is like a another haegeum, could he be saying (double meaning) that this beat/song is a new/instant classic?
I think him smoking in this mv is another example of something that is not accepted from celebrities but totally normal for everyone else
