This video took a bit of an age, but I'm happy with how it turned out so it's worth it. Still really enjoying working on this level, it's so nice to just let loose and build whatever I want

one of the reasons why i love trides building videos is the music. the poly bridge music is so calming and works really well with the chill style of building content. another reason about the music is when i was younger, i went through a massive poly bridge phase and built up 1,200 hours on the game, just gives me a nostalgic feeling.

15:50 tride, in the "extra" tab of the edit special of the particle trigger there is an checkbox you can tick called "use obj color". you can then set the obj color to background and then the particles match up, hope this helps! (like so he sees this)

Also Tride : makes a level called “What the bass”, which is just a goofy and weird level (we love the level for that same exact reason)

watching tride building is like being in math class, you look away for 1 sec and you have no idea what's happening
remember the black gradient triggers in the background at the start of the level? we need more of those
38:22 there are 2 types of these objects in 2.2, the pulsing and the not pulsing ones, the pulsing ones are at the end of the saw blade tab thing. The not pulsing ones are at the end of the tab before (with the decoration elements)

the way ive been able to tell them apart (aside from the tabs they're in) is that one of them, by default, uses the player colors and the other uses color 1 by default

You can use the warp tool on the mouths of the box creature things so you don't use 2 objects making it look smoother.

Just an idea, but you could use the edit trigger to extend the time before respawn (second page) and create a “death effect” where the screen goes black and the objects from the beginning of the level come in from the sides. If it was seamless, it could look like the level was rebuilding and you would start from the beginning without a cut. ❤

when it got to the new detail in the show case i didnt even notice it changed. you made the new detail fit perfectly with the old. great job.
idk if anyone suggested that yet, but what if you dig through the music/sfx library and find the words "what", "the" and "bass" and put them at the drop? (you could in theory also take the "the" from "fire in the hole" for the extra hidden goof but idk)
tip: if you put a particle trigger on a bg colour and then go to extra on the particle trigger tab, and then click on use obj colour, it will be the bg colour meaning it will pulse

You should add a goofy Bossfight at the end of the level, it would be the cherry on top for this level tbh

For those stars at @40:20 you can change the options so their not scale pulsing 😊
One think that I think would make the level better is some more animations such as orbs exploding after you use them or something that makes the electricity appear in the dual wave

hi tride, i wanted to say that at the begining of the drop when you go back and forth, i think maybe you should try playing around with the camera a bit as i feel the movement is a bit jarring, just a suggestion :) love this series btw!

You don't move up an object with an area move trigger, they move towards the spot they're put in, which is why you couldn't see the spikes coming down

At around 3:45 when you were making the spawn loop, there’s just a button that says create loop. You just select all the triggers you want looped and you click the button (it’s on the pause menu in the editor)
