This is Forestella, a crossover group from Korea. They are the winner group in the Phantom Singer 2; an audition show to form a crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea. However as they have their own unique style, they won't be Korean il Divo, they will be the Forestella of the world!
Forestella has sung great covers like Bohemian Rhapsody, We are the Champions, Hijo de la Luna, Heal the World, the Sound of Silence, My Favorite Things, Champions (mash-up of Champs league theme and Champions by Jo SuMi), Nella Fantasia, Scarborough Fair..etc etc. At the Phantom Singer All Stars they sang Time in a bottle, Je suis Malade as well. Shape of You in English, Spanish and African Zulu is fantastic indeed.
You can even see them dancing singing Smooth Criminal as well! And they broke the record of their own with EXO's MAMA winning 6 trophies for King of Kings in a row in Immortal Songs. Check their magnificent performances of Bad Romance and Lazenca Save us in King of Kings and Unwritten Legend too.
Forestella is a quartet of Ko WooRim (classical bass, intense abyss-deep low tone), Kang HyungHo (ex-research chemist, rock vocalist with soprano head voice falsetto), Cho MinGyu (classical leggiero tenor, light boyish crystal clear tone) and Bae DooHoon (musical actor, 159th King of the Masked Singers, emotion convincer good at R&B, Pop). Each has distinct tone and style of singing, different charm. But all of them are famous as practice-freaks. They meet almost everyday to practice together. In a radio program the leader (Cho MinGyu) revealed it would be around 20 days they didn't meet in the year. Bae DooHoon also said they don't meet 1~2 days in a month. I think this explains how their perfection can be possible.
Don't miss their m/v for Save our lives! It's full of wonders. Each of them is representing an element in the m/v. They sang Fake Love of BTS and their song Save our lives at MAMA. Their new original song Utopia is a must check.
Now I see they are creating a genre called Forestella. They showed "What crossover is" with Save our lives and showing "What Forestella does" with Utopia!

I discovered Forestella only a few months ago & personally think they are the best vocal I’ve heard. They each have exceptional voices but their harmonies & arrangements together are truly stunning. Everything they cover is as good or even better than the original. I would give a kidney to go see them live 😅

Some brief background about them:
Forestella is a crossover vocal group formed in 2017 on the South Korean TV show Phantom Singer 2, which they won! The members are Ko Woorim, Kang Hyungho, Cho Mingyu, and Bae Doohoon.
Woorim (2:49): bass, 27 years old, classically trained opera singer.
Hyungho (1:39): tenor/falsetto sopranist, 35 years old, no formal training - he was the vocalist of an amateur rock band and worked as a chemical engineer and researcher.
Mingyu (1:25): tenor, 32 years old, classically trained opera singer.
Doohoon (2:36): tenor, 36 years old, musical actor.

Forestellla are absolutely amazing, always this good or better! I highly recommend “Time in a bottle”, “Nella Fantasia”, “Je suis malade”, “Shape of you”, “Bad Romance”, and their own songs “For Life”, “Save our lives”, and “Utopia”!
I’m 58 and British - you won’t hear a better cover of BoRhap than this one. As to what to listen to next just pull up a list, close your eyes and pick as everything is brilliant. Just one note though when you get to the trilogy do it in order Save Our Lives, Utopia and pt 3 when it comes out. If you want to learn more about them then take some time out of your day and watch Awkward Robot’s A Helpful Guide to Forestella 2023 and the three part Forestory to learn about how they came together and how close to it not happening in the competition that they came from and how a lot of it was down to Cho MinGyu (3rd from the left). Enjoy the ride.

Good day. Welcome on the Forestella train. Thank you for your reaction video. They have so many performances to choose from. My favorite songs by them are Champions (it is a little more classically sounding) and their song Save Our Lives. They also did renditions of Lady Gaga's Bad Romance, Simon and Garfunkle's song Scarborough Fair, Ed Sheeran's Shape of You, Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal, and the Queen's songs, We Are the Champions, and We Will Rock You. I have listened to a lot of their songs, and all of them are a treat to listen to, and to date have not found one song that I did not enjoy. Their songs in Korean are also an absolute treat. They performed most of their songs on a television show called Immortal Songs 2. Some of their Korean songs that you can listen to (even if it is just in your spare time and not for a reaction video) are Lazenca Save Us, The Face I Miss (Cherished Face), and As I Live.

Nice that you have discovered FORESTELLA. This (classic) crossover group (rock/pop/opera) is definitely one of the best the music industry currently has to offer. Each voice alone is mesmerizing and their vocal ranges (soprano to deepest bass) are stunning. Technically highly qualified, they produce the most incredible harmonies, 4 can sound like 40. You just get knocked out. They mostly cover songs of ALL genres in different styles, always respecting the original and ALWAYS TOP. FORESTELLA stands for outstanding musical quality that you shouldn't miss, keep reacting.

They do a really fun performance of Ed Sheeran's Shape of You in which they use 3 different langauges. Also they've covered Lady Gaga's Bad Romance. But my favourite, and if you want your heart broken ,try their version of Je Suis Malade. More recently they have more original music- take a look at Utopia .
Je Suis Malade is a song that always hits me emitionally, but Forestella's version flat out destroyed me. So good and heartbreaking. Mingyu and Doohoon really shine in that one.
I've been a fan of Queen since BEFORE they were famous. Even, they never did the middle section live. They left the stage, and, played a video of that section, before returning to the stage. I have to say, when Cho Mingyu sang "Mama, just killed a man", it actually hit me harder than when Freddie sang that line. 😳 It felt like a little boy telling his mum he'd messed up. 😭.
Can I suggest "Shape of you" for a shock 😂 or "Bad Romance" for a better version than Lady Gaga. 😲 My favourite Forestella performance is "Je suis malade". 😭 But "Hijo de La lune" is beautiful. Can I also suggest Chinese singer Hua Chenyu. His staging of "God Tree" in his recent Concerts is the best I've ever seen. (You get English Subtitled versions).

these guys are a classical crossover group that happens to excel at the crossing over part. 2 of them are opera singers (bass and tenor), one is a musical actor (baritone) and one (the countertenor) is an amazing freak of nature without any prior training! although they do have their own music, it's their covers that have gone viral. they do anything from classically influenced covers like parla piu piano to lady gaga's bad romance. ed sheerhan's shape of you (in 3 languages!) to an ethereal cover of simon and garfunkel's scarborough fair. their french cover of je suis malade is amazing! you can find more forestella here:

Just a litlle correction - Bae DooHoon is a tenor, not a baritone.
@@vayanyhe is really used as a Baritenor in Forestella (but really sits comfortably as a Dramatic Tenor). He's going to be pulling double duty now handling the ENTIRE low end with Woorim gone for the next 18 months.

they are amazing and deserve so much more recognition than BTS has... Nothing against kpop but I think what Forestella does is true art. They don't just only sing, they do their own vocal arrangements and their harmonies are just out of this world.

I’d like to recommend you a new crossover group from South Korea I discovered recently. It’s called “Forténa” with combination of four tenors(I’ve heard it’s the first crossover group with four tenors).
One of the members is a very famous count tenor(His name is DQ Lee and played in lots of operas all over the world).
When I heard their very much first cover song “Neaolis” and “Demain n’existe pas“ in a competition program, I had goosebumps everywhere.
I’m sure you would like it and I’d love to hear your opinion about their singing as a vocal coach!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND "Tom Traubert's Blues (4 Sheets to the Wind in Copenhagen)" by Tom Waits (Also known as "Waltzing Matilda"). His voice is so unique that one critic once described it as though "it was soaked in a vat of bourbon, left hanging in the smokehouse for a few months and then taken outside & run over with a car"!
