This version is actually the complete opposite in my opinion. The original is showing how Matt is fed up and seriously trying to break out. But this version is like showing the inside of what he’s feeling and how he’s been suffering but he can only show the other version of him from the original version. The original is like “Screw this I’m breaking out” but this version is like saying “Please let me break out it hurts a lot” from deep down inside. The music speaks itself. What an art.

I probably have the same problem as you. Sometimes, people claim to have that because they think that theyre life are more horrible so they need the attention of pity. But i highly respect the people who got one..

That is the exact interpretation I got from the 2 versions. Also if you listen to Daniel Ferri's one man band cover of The Handler here on youtube, and compare it to the original, I think it is that exact same contrast. Its amazing how music can take the same lyrics to different emotions.

100% agree. Would be even better if it was slower. But so lovely. Hyper Music is my #1 favorite song, and Hypochondriac Music just rips out my heart. (So now they're on my sadness playlist together.)

So did I. This one and the original one feel ripped straight from a lost session from OoS. Much like "Animals" was a piece of the Absolution era lost in The 2nd Law. I feel like I have waited almost 20 years for this exact song

Ok, it's official: The acoustic versions of The Void and The Dark Side are my favorite new Muse songs. It's so awesome, so original, so beautiful, so Muse.
As an introvert, trying to break out of the safety of being alone this version brings me to tears every time I listen.
Tears because I realise I just need to find that someone special, and give her a chance to get to a better place.

I don’t know if this is the real meaning of the song, but it is for me. Never has a song spoken so deeply in my soul like this one. I love that music is a universal thing that all human beings love. We’re all different, across the world we have different cultures, beliefs, habits, etc…but even people who simply dislike music have at least a song or two that they’ll listen to.
We are all one whole, and yet we fight with each other more violently than any other force in reality. The thought of that, to me; the knowledge that if we weren’t all so greedy, arrogant, and sinful, that we could all live together in peace, that all would be equal, and that world peace would not be a distant hope, but rather a euphoric reality. But because that’s untrue, we all live together in this world, galaxy, universe, and we fight each other by the masses, blindly, to the death.
Muse should tour just the orchestral versions of there songs *BUT* instead of a concert it would be a sit down show with a live orchestra
I'm glad the vocals are different in this version. Muse's effort in this album is insane!
It's as if I have traveled back in time to my teen angst years and I'm listening to muse for the first time. The song perfectly encapsulates Muse going back to its origins, but at the same time using sounds from all the albums they created

I prefer the original, it has more power... But this one is just wonderful and i'm glad that they did more than just one version of this masterpiece.
It's pretty hard to decide which one is better, both songs are truly wonderful masterpieces, Matt's voice on both ones is just freaking incredible.

I wish the whole deluxe album was made of alternate reality versions. A completely different version of Pressure instead of just swapping out the rock instruments for a marching band. A completely different Thought Contagion instead of just a live performance.
