Husband has been putting the cement in the latex molds and the letting them dry outside by side of house in the shade but should they be in the garage instead due to the latex?
Hello, what if u want to make small casts. Like trays. Because i tried some but it’s so weak. Breaks instantly with very little force. I used a premade bag of morter and it looks very good but it’s just weak.
The general rule before demolding is 24 hours if the temperature is above 65 degrees fahrenheit, longer if it’s cooler. After demolding cure times will vary, but go by the color change. You’ll see it go from a dark green gray to a light whiteish gray. Then they’re fully cured and good to go!
Thank you so much for sharing all of your tips and tricks!
I was looking for answer to ratio but all and all your video is good for beginners
Giving the ratios of sand to Portland cement would’ve been helpful!

Yes, even in the shade there at UV rays that will break down the latex over time.

Very hard to say with out seeing it in person but it sounds like you may needs some wire mesh reinforcement such as chicken wire.
@@rubbermoldman8544 some say i should use portland cement? instead of mortar.
Yes, a portland based mix will make a much stronger concrete. Mortar is not very strong on its own.
My molds keep breaking, what can I add to the mix?
Here is my preferred mix.th-cam.com/video/XEKqtIrr5b0/w-d-xo.html
