So glad you and Kara got to spend this time and enjoy some fun stuff together. What a letdown it would have been if you'd had to come down off the mountain and immediately go back to everyday life and work. Thanks for letting us tag along!
Congratulations to you both on learning to fly fish and on catching a few trout! It looked like so much fun. Thanks for letting me tag along on your adventure after Katahdin. Will see you soon in the next video.
As an avid fly fisherman and tier, I have often said, while watching your videos on trail, that I would have to carry a small tenkura rod and fly fish small streams for Brookies Awesome job.
Way to go guys. Great to see you out catching trout. Ive always wanted to try fly fishing. Looks like a lot of work. Every year I make a goal of catching a Musky. I still haven't caught one. There's a reason they call them the fish of 10,000 casts. Im think Im past 10,000 by now. Lol. My grandson caught a huge one last summer though. His first cast for the day. Leo just looks happy that he's in a boat and not crossing that river. Lol Thanks for bringing us fishing. Very cool❤ ✌️🫶
I love Kara's cap, "Put it on my husband's tab!" Flyfishing looks fun but hard to get the hang of. I'll stick to regular fishing..lol It was fun watching you both learn together. Beautiful little trout. Smith River is beautiful.. hope you enjoyed your visit with your son. Look forward to more videos. Blessings to you both. Give Leo a hug for me!
What a great day🥰Congratulations Kara!!! Great catch!!🙌🙌 Fishing is so relaxing! I hope you have been enjoying the rest of your trip home with your loved ones💕💕💕
What a nice place to float and fish and the trout are one of Nature's most beautiful concoctions. But you need to work on your casting - fly casting is, in theory, quite simple, but it takes discipline to get it 'right,' time after time. Unlike bait or spin casting, where a weight is cast, dragging the line behind it, fly casting is casting a line that drags the fly behind it. More books have been written about fly fishing than any other sport on earth. Travel well. Be well, stay safe. 🥾

Thanks 👍
That looked like lots of fun. Thanks for taking us along.
It was!
There is nothing like catching a fish on a fly. It gets even better when you catch a fish on a fly that you have tied yourself!
What a fun day learning to fly fish! I’m sure the race was on, on who could catch the most 😅😅😅😅beautiful place to hang out! Thanks for sharing!

I love most fish, especially trout. Cool adventure 😎.
Glad you enjoyed
Another fun adventure. It seems there is definitely a learning curve to fly fishing. 😂 This river looks great for floating in a tube or kayaking. 😊
Yes it was!
Fly fishing was really cool! I know this is a hiking channel, but I would like to see your gym and some workouts. If not, I get it.
So cool! Fly fishing looks hard but fun!!! And as always what a good boy Leo is! Good job you guys!!
Thank you 🤗

This is really cool. I always wanted to try fly fishing. 😊
You should!
Great vid
Thanks
Fly fishing looks so complicated compared to bass fishing. Looks like it was fun though.
It was fun
Did Kara catch the fly fishing bug? What do you fish for in Florida? Sorry to see Debby waiting to welcome you home to Florida.
No sure, but she gets motion sickness so being on a flat river was great
Looks like Kara landed the biggest fish out there Lol! I’ve often thought about trying to fly fish but it looks way to complicated for me to enjoy!
You should!
Where you near Bassett Virginia.
