This is tyler being a real person, the real tyler in normal clothes and singing like a real person with so much real emotion in his voice that it cracks because no human voice can stand it. I love them with their ski masks and huge venues and everything, I would love them no matter WHAT, and it's just astounding to see how far they're come. But sometimes the makeup and the publicity and the bling and dazzle and all the merch and giant crowds of fans gets to be too much and they start to feel flat and technicolor like just another band, just another flat artificial band with no voice, or somebody like that, and I have to go back and remember that this is the real twenty one pilots, and it always will be.
