Half of the people here have no clue about hockey. Sweeney is doing the same thing he did with Heinen and Geekie. Let a player in a bad system show everyone he is a good player. I would gladly take a big winger who averages 1 pt every 4 games on the 4th line. Jones brings his A game every night and will be eager to prove himself in Boston. It also brings in more competition for lines 3 & 4 and solid player/fill in if someone goes out injured. Great move GM!
Hello from Winnipeg. The home away from home for our Boston Bruins.Happy Canada Day 🇨🇦.It’s been awhile since you’ve had a post.Good to hear from you.GO BRUINS 🇨🇦🐈🏒🍺💀.
one of my favorite teams growing up with the Winnipeg Jets! I grew up in Boston... I played the game at a pretty high level... I always like this kid and I see a lot of potential if he's managed right.. I'm not talking about his NHL career in the past. because the past is where it should be in the past. I remember I missed a Cam Neely coming to Boston after playing for 4 years for Vancouver.. is 58 was his first year with the Boston Bruins the year before he got traded he didn't score more than 17 goals in one single season. he was managed right he's a right wing 642 210 lb. Cam Neely ... if I was the train this kid I would turn him into a beast! into a 30-35 goal scorer in the league today.. hit like a freight train... I've already predicted if this kid does the right thing and plays right trains hard he'll be on PP one or two... I remember watching this kid in the Juniors.. he's going to be awesome with the Bruins!
I didn't know he played for Dale Hunter.. thank you for putting that out there it makes sense now.. my watcher Hunter play all the time when I was a kid..
This signing…. Like what the Celtics and the Red Sox have started doing…. Is a page from the Belichick play book. Seems to me the Pats did very well with low risk, low cost moves on a one year note to win championships. Where do you think the other New England teams learned it from?
Bruins need to make top priority now to beginning Swayman and then maybe add a winger with whatever cap space is left!? They gotta get Swayman signed asap tho then they can go from there!? Hopefully they can sign Sway and bring in a speedy scoring winger!?
@@youngp1251do you know what's really interesting right now in Providence the Bruins top affiliation Ahl... I forget his name I have to look it up but the problem is ruins starting goalie that played all last year is like 20 years old and considered one of the best prospects in the whole NHL when it comes to Young goaltending. if he's not good we can trace women and get a huge huge trade and get another big forward that can put the puck in the net because pasta is not enough we need more help.
If Jones is playing any higher up than 4th line then I think you are doing it wrong. Geekie scored 30 points in limited ice time and had (up until this season ironically enough) proven he could win faceoffs as a center. Which is what got him in the door for us. Now for us he wasn't winning many faceoffs so found himself shifted to the wing (until the playoffs where Zacha vanished and lost his job to Geekie). As it stands right now your third line would Poitras centering which ever of Frederic or Geekie that you don't slot in DeBrusks former wing slot, and Brazeau. I'm not pulling Brazeau out of that slot for Jones. That's if he even earns the slot. Brown, Lettieri, Tufte for vets are also going to be looking for that slot and you have a couple of internals guys in Nelson and Kuntar who I imagine are going to want that last 4th line slot as well. And that's all assuming none of the better kids Lysell, Merk, Farinnacia push for the 2nd line winger slot and get it. Cause you certainly aren't giving Jones 3rd line time over Frederic or Geekie if they are both on the line.
Scoring wasn’t an issue last year nor will it be next year. Their problem was defensive turn overs and being out of position with Sway or Ullmark left on their own. Zadorov is a great addition but need a couple more defensive additions to fill out the lines. Maybe this kid is a gem in the rough and Zadorov will take him under his wing and get him to play up.
@@duanemartin1383 No, they couldn't score when needed. Goaltending is solid and defence is adequate. We don't need more defensive forwards.Scoring is the major problem.
@@johnbrowne2170…. If you’re up 2-0 or 3-1 and then the D gifts two goals off turnovers…. Scoring is not the problem. And I’d say the signing of Oesterle to go with Zadorov proves my far more accurate assessment.
I understand your concern and first hearing about Max Jones being signed looking at his stats... but you have to understand game hockey and how it's played in everyone's different... this kid's a late bloomer he was drafted first round is every bit 6'3 if not taller has the potential to play at 225 to 230 lb power forward! time to watch this kid since he was young playing for New London, he grew really fast little bit late.. so that hurt a skating and moving abilities... but he's gotten that back and he has a lot of potential.. do you remember the trade made for Cam Neely? play 4-5 Seasons in Vancouver ; it was coming off a trip to the Stanley Cup finals which he played pretty well in.. he never scored more than 17 goals in the whole season.. I'm talking 82 games! Max Has not played a full season I don't think because of his injuries because he plays hard , but injuries are not a problem with him. I think you might be surprised with this kid!

Played for Dale Hunter. They develop players for pro. Pain in the ass to play against.

Good signing 🤘🤘💛🖤
Perfect fit for the Bruins
It looks like out of all these new players some are bound to click and become much more than expected, l am hoping

This is a good signing for the bottom 6
Nice dude 😎
I think it's a good thing.
I don’t think it’s a bad thing, but we have an abundance of bottom 6 players. I don’t see the point personally but whatever

@duanemartin1383 I argree with you
@johnbrowne2170 it's the turnover and our defense is out position that kill us against the Panthers series in the playoffs.
Sign Swayman then go get Skinner!!
Skinner gone
a forward that scored 15 points??? could score more than that sweeney!what a BS signing!why don't you sign b
bertuzzi!!!
I think I herd he signed with Blackhawks
Bertuzzi turned the Bruins down last year, why would he sign now? Plus he's gone.
