    I love this...... being Welsh is a honour bestowed on the few and keeping traditions like this is a must for us

    How old are these traditions and why do they exist in UK as well as in Romania and as I understand it in other European countries as well.

      @@TheMusicalChills66 well I am sure that they come from the pre-Christian era and I think even before Roman-Greek-Norse mythologies. I suspect they are far far older by a long shot and also believe that their meaning is long forgotten, but we attach modern meanings to them if any at all. I look at this not in the terms of fun or not fun but with curiosity and interest about our ancient ancestors in terms of their culture and beliefs. I have no interest in returning to those old times but sure I would like to know where we came from and how all those people of this old continent were united by a unique culture and how our culture obviously evolved over millennia while still preserving some of those ancient traditions in some form or another.
