@@_HMCB_ from what I remember he was on drugs, and found dead outside of an apartment window by an air conditioner unit where he passed from Freon inhalation in 2007..in 1990 Torlando Easley shotof and killed his friend and did 10 years, another member Russell Neal was convicted of murdering his wife in 2014 , and another original member Roderick Clark was left paralyzed from a car accident in 1993. This had several tragedies..
@@TheCookfamily01 my goodness. Tragedy all around. Heartbreaking to think that they gave us all so much joy during that brief period but they went out like a flame. Much too quickly. I’ve always been grateful for how our creativity can touch the world and live on, even if we don’t.

This is in the 90's and they were teenagers. It's crazy I met Tony (lead singer) at my high school graduation, I think he had family graduating that day as well and he congratulated me and one of my friends. Great memories, it's funny how certain memories stick with you.

I'll always remember how the first time I heard this song it was 2019, I was in 11th grade, and I was sitting in the college counselor's office and she was playing a 90's R&B and new jack swing playlist on her Bluetooth speaker and while she was looking up something and this song came on and I was like, "Hey... I kinda like this!" And I looked it up and it was my first time learning about Hi-Five. I got home and listened to this song with headphones so I could hear it better and *I. Was. Blown. Away!* From that day on She's Playing Hard To Get was my favorite Hi-Five song and favorite song from 1992.

Tony Thompson, lead singer, died tragically in 2007 at the age of 31. He was an incredible singer.
I think if a singer gives you a certain song that gives you joy, happiness and fond memories, then you just automatically wish that person well and a happy life! I get so sad that Tony didn't get that because he gave us so much happiness! RIP Tony T.
