I think Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation" was a HUGE album, HUGE meaning. And it's a song relevant to today, still, 30 years later.
Highly recommend Rhythm Nation. Also loved Black Cat off that album, but Rhythm Nation is probably Janet's #1 song that she should be associated with forever.
If aliens opened up a Janet Jackson time capsule in 1,000 years, Rhythm Nation should be the song they judge her on. She blew the whole year wide open with that song. Great stuff.

She is also a great dancer, and good actress, watch a song that shows off her dance moves.. like " Miss you much" great dance moves in that video!!...my favorite Janet songs, are " Nasty' ' What have you done for me lately" and ' Love will never do" and "Escapade" Fun trivia fact....I groomed her dogs about 30 years ago in the san fernando valley, I have an autographed 8 x 10 photo of her!! She had a chow named Buck and a mixed Terrier named puffy and two shar peis. Her assistants brought the dogs in, so we never got to see her.....darn it!
