I love Rough Ryder knives! I have the denim copperhead and love it. I want to get the Patriot knife because ‘Merica! SMKW does a great job bringing affordable traditional knives to the masses. Great video, have a great weekend!

Can't go wrong with a Rough Ryder traditional knife. The two I have (denim micarta Work Knife and a red micarta Upswept Bowtrapper), both came perfect. No gaps, perfect fit n finish, great walk n talk, and perfect blade centering. Both well, well worth the $. Great video once again JB. Have a great day brother.

At that price point I don't mind a bit of gapping here and there! My personal favorite must be the patriot, I like canoes anyhow and those blue scales are gorgeous! Just not a huge fan of the billboarding on the blade but you can't have it all I guess... Thanks for sharing!
Yeah, Rough Ryders! The denim is beautiful. I intend to get one of Old SWs - and the half hawk, not for the clip but for that sweet sheep’s foot blade. The green is okay, makes a change from all the blue this year! I’ve been going after some discontinued series, like the twisted bone and Marbles fluted bone. Have you seen the Classic Carbon wharncliffe Whittler now back in stock? RR is a sharp and pointy wonderland!
Theae videos are so fun. My denim micarta barlow ended up being my best rough rider so far. Perfect fit and finish. I actually have the working man half hawk too, my main blade is a bit spongy on opening but its just so cool it doesnt matter
That Patriot canoe with the spear point blades is it. Indigo scale color, with search for details. Subtle, but substantial. Pick that one to go with my 1821 R.R.
How did I miss the other 3 episodes? I'm glad they are doing more T-10 carbon steel knives. Rough Ryder is the way to go if you want to start collecting traditional knives. I like all of them. That's the problem. 😂
Oh man, it's difficult to choose one! I like them all. With a knife to my throat I would say the Patriot Canoe, because of the nice frost etching on the blades and that America still stands for freedom for me. If it wasn't for you guys we all would be speaking German here or Russian in a later stage, so thanks for that. But they really are all four very great. Hope you had a great week JB.
Just bought my first rough ryder the other night. Picked up the Rough Ryder Stroke of luck canoe. I'm a sucker for green and anything clover/Irish related. Took me a bit to find one in stock but Su Chicken came in clutch finding one for me.
Yes I did! Everywhere I looked that model was sold out. Except Amazon and Ebay and they wanted $30-40 for it. So I greatly appreciate you sharing that with me!

That’s one thing about SMKW - they do one batch of something, and sometimes never do another run of that exact model. You gotta grab them quick! Fantastic look at 4 series of knives, thank BigRed. I like the looks of them all. If looking for an all ss knife then no doubt the Old SW jewelry series is tops and as for the "looks" of a carry pocket knife I have to go with the blue denim copperhead.
That is tough. My favorite is probably the Patriot wish they had used colored pins in red and white but love the Red, White, and Blue. Then probably the old Southwest as I have always loved Turquoise shame it isn't real but I know it is a soft stone. Then the Denim micarta series. I wish the large Moose had a secondary blade of a large wharncliff but hopefully the spey blade would be good for opening packages as I don't plan on speying any animal. Lastly I would probably say the Working man as I am not a big fan of bright green knives. Not sure how I feel about the pocket clip. Especially when there are slips with pocket clips and ones that fold over and are heavily magnetized for holding slip in pocket. Thank you for your service. I bought my mom the old southwest dbl lock back an she loves it . Then I bought my old friend the classic micarta liner lock. After seeing the old southwest, I had high expectations for the micarta one . It was stupid stuff to open , an it failed to lock 99% of the time . I sat an opened an closed it for around 6 hours on an off . It never got better.( customer service took care of me an I ended up getting him a boker lock back.)
That denim moose is fantastic and I only have good things to say about RR's T10, if you like carbon steel this is great. My other like out of the four is the half hawk, I bought the coal miner half hawk years ago and love it, I have looked for some of the other half hawks that Rough Rider did but never found one that would ship to Europe, I have ordered one of these clippy slippies from Moonraker Knives in the UK.
I like all of them except for the Old Southwest Series. Those are just not my thing. I love the Patriot Series and the Denim Micarta Series excluding the Moose of course. Thanks JB.
My favorite is the Denim Micarta. I'm not crazy about the pocket clip on the Working man. The frosted blade kind of kills the the Patriot and the Old Southwest looks great but just isn't that durable. It is nice to see the return of the Half Hawk Some folks except perfection for $15. I call these people "kindasilly" BTW, I like Green!
I like them all! I just enjoy traditional looks not that I find them as useful as a modern. The price point of RR makes it fun to collect knives you might never carry much. A new RR in the pocket is one less cheeseburger around the waist. Lol
The red in the Southwest patterns is supposed to mimic coral. Red turquoise is kind of an oxymoron. The blue denim scales are my favorite from this bunch. Good videos bud. Hope you don't mind my 2 cents every now and then
i would like to coin a phrase for the blue.....Colonial Blue. I like that Southwest as well. I will be looking to purchase the Southwest and the Patriot. Not a fan of that workman and denim.

What I struggle to understand and I am sure many knife Collectors would agree : What is the actual real difference between a $15 Rough Ryder or Frost Cultery pocket - knife that performs pretty damn well and looks OK and a designer knife --- a Chris Reece folder that say that might cost $1,500 plus ! ..... Or one from GEC goes for 800 bucks or more ? They look almost the same or similar ; so I wonder .... 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤨

TEC Puma - all made in Far East countries thus retail is as low as 10 bucks a blade ! ... Low to a very average quality standard . No Puma ever cost less than 200US = 35 years ago ! Now 10 bucks --- for a Puma ! Will fall apart in 3 months . The factor that alters PRICE is where They Made it . The $ Cost of Labour ..... No American etc , will work within a knife factory today : not for a buck a day ! Better off getting a couple of Rough Ryder; probably !
