Chesapeake Virginia retired disabled US army veteran logistics I love these stories of the old west Family in harsh winters in New Jersey, Delaware,Pennsylvania and minnesota
@@gregjohnson9681 ...Snow peas, don’t ya know?... IT DOES??? I got 10 inches in my yard today, here in West Virginia, and it is all white!!! I'll have have it see a urologist after our state of emergency is over.
Bernard lash northeast indiana 19*f tonight. Love these stories reminds me of old radio broad casts stories. That we listened to on our home built crystal sets.
Jamesburg New Jersey, former US Navy Aviator, F4 Phantom driver, college professor, Designer, Engineer, and CEO. Most recently elected municipal council official who has spent too many years shoveling the harsh winter snows of NJ as he tries to keep warm.
My great grandfather was a union soldier. That wrote of his experience in Confederate prisones after being captured. It was called 500 days in confederate prisons. By Charles Fosdick!
I live in Enterprise, Kansas. I love the story of a strong woman! I'm not this strong, but I try to be strong even if I'm in my 70s! Those bullies are stupid!
Maybe you could tell Jesse Swan's and his wife's better than I: Jesse and Evelyn Swan, owned a spreadolorado--the Livermore territory. Their house was about 25 miles from the Whitakers. When Jesse heard that the James gang was passing through, he met them in front of their home (189? I think he said), and told Jesse that he had to guess in which one of the cottonwoods in front of the houe his wife was sitting with four, loaded shotguns. James and his gang rode on. Along the walls of their home, about two inches above the floor, were beautifully wood-framed slits to shoot rifles through at Indians! (As I listened, Jesse's wife, looking thoughtful, just nodded her head, as if remembering.) When I visited, Jesse was in his nineties, his wife a little younger, and both moved around as if they were in their forties. Hollywood directors would have given their eyeteeth to cast them in movi
awesome tale loved it , just didnt apreciate the commentators long winded embellishments , hes known for ! BUD TIME IS MONEY , AND YOUR CRAP NORMALLY IS NOT WORTH IT !
Good story, creative writing, but it drug on way, way too long. AND, the "killer" who broke out of prison, she is sending back to prison, so he can figure out another way to get out and come after her again, destroying her peace. She gave them plenty of chances ... the times has come to finish things off and stop all the sharpshooting, toying with them. THEY WILL BE BACK. Sometimes, evil has to be destroyed.
Agree! Too descriptive. Neverending. Get on with the story! This is a very old-fashioned way of writing. My great, great, great ..... grandfather, J. B. Priestly, used to write like that. He may be famous in his time, bless him, but I could never finish any of his books. Three pages of describing what someone was wearing was just too much for me. This one's not as bad as that, but waffles on about everything but the story! The writer's so caught up with description that he describes the impossible! "Tending the garden in the snow!" Growing icicle patterns? Sorry. Just not to my tastes. Giggle. BTW, what does "end up face story" mean? I'm imagining one falling face first on the ground! 😅 Not far off!

I quit when the total improbability of what could have been a great tale became impossibly unbelievable and returned to fairy tale fiction .
Well it's a long story but the end was great love it ❤

I thought that Remingtons were rifles not revolvers like she has in her hand.
The Remingtons were the ones with the top strap. Clint Eastwood used one in the movie where he was the preacher.
