I love getting gift cards because then I can get what I want without the guilt of asking for something too expensive or without the guilt of spending too much of my own money

Great video, beautiful painting, awesome ideas! Another thing I think every artist could use more of is substrates. Nice paper, canvases, or whatever else they make their art on. It’s like the gift socks of the art world: kinda boring so we don’t really want to buy it for ourselves, but we always need more!

I collect art books from my favorite animations as a kid. I use thriftbooks to buy them. I also asked my husband for a watercolor palette from shimmerdrops
There are also online shop gift cards where you can buy the card and load some money on the card and the person who received it can choose for which store they want to use the money. I know wunschgutschein in Germany and they cooperation is with over 500 online stores. So from bookstores, Amazon, ikea etc is for everyone something there.
Im always increadably specific with what i want for chistmas and ive learned that no matter how specific you are non artist just wont get it. This year for (Sinterklaas dutch chistmas) i asked for a 100gsm CoolWhite acid free HotPress sketchbook for collored pencils, i got 150gsm brokenwhite coldpress guach sketchbook. I aprechiate the sentiment and im stil gratefull, what im thying to say is, even if your wishlist is full of amazon links you most likeley stil wont get exactly what you want.

They’re actually going a collab with Quincy’s Tavern which will be so cool! I also adore giving gifts! I started collecting gifts in May 😂
This list was great except for one thing. You didn’t mention anything about watercolor. It is such a popular medium that many people would absolutely love. For me, professional watercolors, cotton paper or sketchbooks, ceramic palette, new brushes, small zipper bag or cute tote bag. I could go on and on. Thanks for the well thought out video!
i hate those stupid really crappy art sets, just get some normal good pencils for a kid and that would be better than those kits 🤪money is a perfectly good gift! Allows you to get something you actually want😀
