Tord left in 2008, Edd died in 2012, Tom left in 2016 and Matt will continue working so that those happy memories never go away Edit: The reason Tom and Tord left is because the fans didn't like Tord's character (besides the fact that he was drawing NSFW) so he left to continue on his way. Instead Tom left because he already felt that Eddsworld was more of an obligation than something to remember the memories of his best friend, so he decided to leave.

The nostalgia. Edds world was the first video of violence I watched when I was maybe 4/5 years old. Now that I see that how much they have improved in animating now I just wanna go back to the days where it was peaceful and watch their videos again and again.

I just wasn't in my best moments but I'm very happy then :) now that I remember it it makes me very nostalgic, I don't know how to describe the feeling well but it's a mix between nostalgic, sadness and happiness.
Edd has brought many joy into my life. It’s really what kept me going during vivid years, and whenever anyone in my family would get into fights. I still remember one time my aunts boyfriend was drunk, and he said he was going to do something to me. I’m fine, but an Eddsworld video was something that cheered me up. Rest In Peace Edd.

RIP Edd, you are a legend. Eddsworld has somehow been more effective at helping me through what’s so far been the most traumatic few years of my life more than actual therapy. I’ve been stuck in the fandom for a year or two and I don’t mind it, it’s pretty cool if I just stay in my little corner and don’t bug anyone. But Eddsworld has become such a big part of my life through my middle school years and now that I started high school, I’m still in love with it. I hope to stay in this fandom for a bit longer, it’s a genuine comfort for me and has earned a special place in my heart right next to the HTTYD trilogy.
